She has moved to the Phenix Salon Suites on n. El Camino Real in Encinitas! She is an amazing colorists and has a bag full of tricks in her cutting bag. She blow dries you right every time. The Suites are very private and you are getting 100% of her attention. Music and Mags to make you feel at home. Clean, clean and clean as usual. She has it painted in bright colors and big mirrors cover the walls. The parking lot is huge and plenty of parking. Great Thai, Juice place and clothing store next door.

The owner reached out to me and offered to fix the cut which I really appreciate.

It’s always hard to find a new hairdresser after moving. I used to go to a fancy salon in downtown San Diego before, and even if I was mostly satisfied it was still super expensive and always problem finding parking. Found B Haven on Unilocal and that’s been one of the best part about moving:-) Got an appointment with Kristin and I just felt at home right away. I am not too adventurous when it comes to new styles and I’ve been trying to grow my hair out for years. But somehow I usually leave the salon feeling like they chopped half my hair off! NOT with Kristin. I could barely see that she had cut it, but I could definitely feel it because it felt so much more healthy. The color was perfect too, very subtle and natural looking — which is hard when you’re a natural born dark brunette going California blond!
I can’t wait to go back for my next appointment!

Kristen at B Haven saved me! I had first went to a really high end salon in irvine and they just made a mess out of my hair. I found B Haven on Unilocal and thought I’d give it a try. It’s a really small salon; maybe 3 or 4 people work there, but I absolutely loved it! This salon is exactly what I was looking for; small, clean, and very friendly.
I met with Kristen, showed her the pics of the hair color I wanted and she went to work! She did exactly what I asked her to do. I went home and kinda had a change of heart. I felt the color was just to light for me. Don’t get me wrong, the color was awesome, but I guess I just wasn’t used to it. So I called Kristen the next and she got me in the following day. She understood and was kind enough to change it at no charge! She said she just wanted me to be happy! Now I love my color and I will continue to go to Kristen. B Haven is just awesome and Kristin, well I just can’t say enough good things about her!

I cannot say enough good things about B Haven Salon, and its owner, Heather. I have been getting my hair done by Heather for years, and even though I moved out of state last year, after trying a couple new stylists in my community, I had to go back to Heather. Now, every 10 weeks I fly back to San Diego, just to get my hair done in her salon – yes she is THAT GOOD! Her color/​cut techniques are top notch, even though I have very fine hair that is hard to work with. No matter where I go in the world, I don’t think I’ll have anyone else touch these locks – thanks Heather!

I found B Haven on Unilocal and was very happy to discover that the reviews were accurate! Kristin was very friendly and did a great job with my all over color and hair cut. I have bangs and have had some bad experiences leaving salons with very questionable bang trims but Kristin knew exactly how to cut them!
B Haven has a great vibe and I felt very comfortable there. The services are very affordable as well! I highly recommend it!

I’m moving down into San Diego soon, and I am so BUMMED that I might have to find a new place closer to me! Hopefully the drive won’t be an issue, because I love seeing Kristen every month. I had a poorer-​quality color job when I started coming here, but she fixed it immediately. And when I wanted to try a new shade, I just showed her a picture, and BAM! it turned out perfect. I always have fun when I come here, sitting in my chair with my hot coffee and chatting and laughing.

I LOVE B Haven! I recently moved to SD from New York City so my experience with hair salons has been that turning my hair from my natural color (not blonde) to my desired color (blonde) cost me an arm and a leg. When I walked into B Haven and met Heather and Kristen I knew I found my new home away from home. Kristen did an amazing job on my hair and not only did I walk out after having lots of laughs with my hair looking fabulous, but my wallet was much heavier than I ever thought it would be! On top of the stellar service and very reasonable prices, the salon is adorable! I’m giving B Haven 5 stars because only because I cannot give them 6. I HIGHLY recommend this place!

I went to this place today and it was outstanding for a new style. Heather was informative, answered all of my questions and spent as much time as I wanted. My girlfriend did the same. I told her that I was going to write a good review for her on Unilocal and she said thanks. So here it is, Five big stars.

Try them! This is a local owner who hails from Pittsburgh area with incredible business ethics. The hair products are great too. It’s behind the coast highway. I got my haircut by the junior hairdresser Christina who is really sweet. The cut just was not deep enough (in terms of layers) I should have said something right away but was so insanely busy that it took me three weeks to stop by and let the owner know. She went ahead and cut into my hair more deeply anyway, and did a great job. I’m sure had I said something to my first hairdresser she would have as well. These stylists really aim to please and specialize in long hair. a wonderful new salon with a comfortable, personal feeling. cuts are very reasonable, I think mine was 55. I really enjoyed talking with them too, very kind and down to earth. 4.5 stars!

I have been going to Heather at B Haven for years and will never have my hair professionally done by any one else, she’s spoiled me! Since I’m rather adventurous, Heather has made my hair every beautiful shade you can imagine, most recently a mouth-​watering shade of red that keeps the compliments coming. Her highlights are amazing, and the best I’ve ever seen.
B Haven is easy to find and very comfy-​cozy, not to mention a really cute salon! Time flies when I’m there chit-​chatting with Heather while she works on my hair, I wish I could go every month!

B Haven is simple yet chic. A very clean and warm enviornement. There are always good magazines for your reading pleasure while you get your hair done. There is even a small bowl for little chocolates to ejnoy! I have been going to Heather for years and she has magic hands for hair. I have never been dissapointed and leave satisified! Her assistant is great too and they make for a great team. Would not trade B Haven for anything! ALWAYS book your appointment in advance. She books up quick!
