Our tree was stolen. I started dealing with Big Tree Specialist via email and received a great contract within days. It took time for them to come to our house(over a month) and when they did, they gave me a check for our Canary Island Palm. We immediately deposited the check in our account and was told there were sufficient funds in the account. After 7 hours of trying to pull our tree, the City inspector came by and was going to stop the process, as Big Tree Specialist never obtained a permit, for encroaching on the road. Kenny went to the City and in the mean time, his guys continued to remove the tree. Almost 3 weeks later, our check came back NSF(non sufficient funds). I have no money, no Canary Island Palm(over 30 feet high) and when I contacted Big Tree Specialist, they apologized and said they’d send a replacement ASAP. That never happened and I didn’t hear from Big Tree Specialist again. We now have to go through the legal process to see if we can get paid or our tree back? Be aware and make sure they bring cash if they are going to take your tree.

If I could give zero stars, that still might be too high. These people are soooooo crooked. They called us up to provide trucking for them because the other company he booked to pick this up canceled on them. They cancelled because he was trying to rip off the guy he was buying a tree from. We found that out after the fact. One driver ended up waiting 4 hours, the other one ended up waiting 10 hours, and they were okay with that because Big Tree had promised to compensate us for that. When we delivered, Big Tree was supposed to have a cashier’s check or money order, which they did not. They kept pushing us to unload without having received money, but we insisted on getting the money first. Big Tree gave us a check, which he put a stop-check on. We bent over backwards to help them out and went well above and beyond the call of duty only to get ripped off. What a scumbag!
