I’m SO happy with the work they did on my ring at this shop! They also responded quickly when we asked(2 days after dropping the ring off) if they could rush the job — and they got it finished much faster than we expected! We cannot say enough good things about Encinitas Custom Jewelers… see you next time!

i brought a bracelet in because I was thinking about selling it and Rick couldn’t have been any more accommodating. He offered several options and even sent it to his diamond broker for evaluation. He’s honest, a craftsman and very professional. I’ll definitely return but this time I’ll go back to buy something!

Rick is a genius when it comes to jewelry. It is clear that he loves what he does and holds himself to the highest standards. I look a ring to be resized and am overjoyed with the way it came out. Rick was very quick and did beautiful work. Even better, his prices are very reasonable. The jewelry that is sold in the shop is absolutely beautiful as well. I recommend Encinitas Custom Jewelers to anyone and everyone!

Their pricing is also extremely great as well as their quality of work. I recommend this place to everyone who needs jewelry repaired whether it be new or vintage!

Super kind, friendly, knowledgeable professionals. Lovely small fresh shop. I love to support local small businesses just like this one. They know their stuff well & took great care of us. On one occasion they had every reason to draw us into a sale and instead gave us a cost-free suggestion. That’s exemplary integrity & customer care. Please do bring your good business to these fine folks.

I have used this jeweler several times to repair or alter jewelry, some of it vintage. I have always been more than pleased by the result and the fair price. On one occasion, I took in my grandmother’s vintage(60 years old) Navajo Indian cuff bracelet to be polished. The owner complimented me on the beauty and quality of the piece, polished it, and went the extra mile by repairing a crack in the turquoise without charge. I also took in another vintage piece, an 18-carat gold charm bracelet my grandmother purchased in Vienna, to have the clasp tightened. This is my favorite and most valuable piece of jewelry from my grandmother. It has a tremendous amount of sentimental value, but I felt safe leaving it there and appreciated the fine work done on the clasp. Recently, I went in with some gold jewelry I was considering selling. He offered $ 200 for a gold ring, said he could sell a charm bracelet for $ 800 and I would receive $ 400, and estimated a vintage sapphire bracelet to be between $ 1,000 and $ 2,000 for resale(after complimenting me on it). I took the same items to anther store in Solana Beach, where I was offered $ 140 for the gold ring, $ 250 for the charm bracelet, and $ 450 for the sapphire bracelet, which he said he would melt down for its gold value. I decided to keep all of the jewelry for sentimental reasons, but did sell a silver flatware set for its silver weight value. As an aside, I also priced this flatware set at Leo Hamel’s, where the service was rude and I received a low-ball offer. I highly recommend Encinitas Custom Jewelry.
