Encinitas MRI Center

0 stars is what I’d like to give this facility. I asked what the price was before receiving the service and it was not made clear to me. They said they would bill insurance and I’d be responsible for around $ 250. A bill comes later for over $ 700. When I called the billing office about this they couldn’t figure out where I got the number from… well that’s what you told me! We argued back and forth during this time I moved. I gave them my new address which they did not update. The billing office which is off site said they would call me back after speaking with the office manager and never did. A collection agency called a few weeks later and they already sent to collections without contacting me first. What a way to treat patients!

My doc suggested I have the MRI he ordered done here so I went into make an appointment. The woman at the front desk looked up my insurance and then told me I had a 50% copay. It seemed really high but I trusted her and then had the MRI the following day and gave her my credit card for the high amount. Turns out they were considered an out-​of-​network provider which is why the cost was so high! She never mentioned that. Had I gone elsewhere, it would have been $ 5. Completely misleading let alone unethical.

Went to get an MRI yesterday, clean facility. Great customer service. Hope i dont need more MRI’s, but if i do, i will return here.
