I have lived in Encinitas for 27 years. Unfortunately I’ve been going to the big box stores and never stopped by hydro-scape. Oh the time and money I could have saved. The store is amazing. Clean well displayed product selection of most importantly people that know their business. Steven, who turned out to be family to our neighbors, directed me to solutions I didn’t know existed and made sure I had everything I needed to complete the job. And they’re going to deliver for $ 20. Crazy. This place is the only place I will be going for my landscape projects! 10 stars.

I recently purchased a new home and needed to replace the outdoor sprinkler timer box. I found the staff, particularly Steven, to be very friendly and helpful. The unit I wanted was in stock at another store and Steven picked it up from there on his way home from work and had it ready for me the next morning. He was attentive, friendly and helpful. The prices were competitive with prices for the same unit that I researched on-line. I will definitely return for my irrigation and gardening needs.

Its taken me over ten years to want to post how I feel about this business, as I don’t like to write a bad review and hurt business… but maybe they will note it and kick it up a notch. Been in here several times since purchasing a home in the area 15 years ago and always feel like I’m unwelcome and my small need… because it is usually a small thing I need to make things work again at home… seems to annoy them. Unfortunately, they don’t have much competition… if they did, I would never put myself through it again. I don’t need hand holding, I know they service professionals who need to get in and out… but they really need some customer service training. I quick smile and how can I help? goes a long way… the new remodel didn’t help with the attitudes.

I found the staff to be polite, attentive, knowledgeable and helpful. The store itself is well stocked and the prices are very competitive. I stopped in looking for some drip irrigation equipment that I could not find elsewhere and they had it in multiple capacities. I will certainly go back to get supplies for my next irrigation project.

They might be knowledgeable but are definitely rude to their customers. They ignore them and are not attentive. No matter how many times the same customer goes in there, they will show no effort in tending to their needs. Makes a person apprehensive to give them their money.
