I am a mortgage loan consultant at GEM Mortgage and work with Jill often. Though I have been fortunate enough to assist many realtors with their clients over the years, Jill stands out to me as a uniquely talented and hard working agent. Not only is she always willing to go the extra mile for her clients – working evenings, weekends, and touring homes all over North County – but I can also personally attest to transactions where I have literally seen her save her clients tens of thousands of dollars through her shrewd negotiation skills and experience in working with short sale lenders. Most recently, her willingness to challenge a negotiated short sale price based on a low appraisal value was a move few agents would have had the courage or care for their clients to make – the safe bet would have been to accept the low valuation and have her clients dig into their retirement savings to make up the difference, which they had indicated a willingness to do. Nevertheless, Jill challenged the negotiated price and through her deftly managed relationship and an almost daily follow through with the short sale lender, she saved her clients $ 10,000 plus a percentage of all the myriad costs associated with the higher purchase price. This was money they were later able to invest in renovating their new home instead. On top of all that, she has chosen to work for an independent brokerage that charges significantly lower fees, allowing her to pass those savings on to her clients. This allows her to offer home sellers a reduced commission rate which, for the majority of home sales here in North County, could mean a savings of between $ 3,000 — $ 7,000! Again, Jill is a fantastic agent who brings a tremendous amount of knowledge and exceptional skills at an unbeatable value to her clients.
