Kim is one of the best hairstylists I’ve ever had.
I’ve been working with her for 15+ years and have always been satisfied. Her greatest strength? Her ability to listen and translate what I’m asking into a great hairstyle. My hair is NOT easy to work with because it’s fine and frizzy and curly — but she always transforms it into great style.
She is also a master with color — several of my friends don’t know that I color my hair — they think it’s natural — and that’s a big compliment to Kim!
She works hard for her clients and always aims to please. She’s met me on Sundays, holidays, at her home, at my home — usually any time I need because she wants to ensure I always have a good hair day.
I highly recommend her — she’s easy and fun to work with and does fantastic work.

I got a tip to get my hair cut by Kim — WOW was that the best advise I’ve ever gotten! She is amazing, very talented and (as others mentioned) so detailed oriented.

I have seen Kim for several years. She has a private studio in Sola Salons which I love because it is quiet and relaxing without all sorts of other people talking around you.
One of her strengths is her knowledge of color — she really has a good sense of what looks «right» with your skin tone. She listens well and takes time to understand what you want during the consultation.
She offers recommendations on how best to transition from one length or color to another. She keeps up on the latest trends and techniques and offers solutions and products that are useful and high-​quality.
She also does great cuts on guys. My son gets his hair cut here, too.

I met Kim in 2005 when I was a walk-​in client to a salon she was working at in Carlsbad. I was so grateful for that destined meeting, because 9 years and countless hair appointments later, I could not be happier with my hair color and cut. Everywhere I go people ask me about my hair, and I always say, go see Kim! She keeps up on her hair education, she’s always reasonably priced, and you will LOVE her private salon at Sola. It’s always special ME time when I’m in Kim’s chair. Plus, over the years, Kim and I have developed a meaningful friendship. She is a kindred soul!
