Leucadia Shell Service & Smog Station

Hours say 8am. Showed up at 7:55. As of 8:20, wasn’t open. So I left. Place is a total joke.

If you are looking for a great mechanic, come to this Shell station! Travis Garland is the MAN! Not only does he have a great resume, he’s HONEST and friendly and does the best he can for customers. He’s my go-​to-​guy from now on.

Leucadia Shell took care of my old car for 10 years! My repairs were always cheap and easy. I bought a new car and I don’t get to see them as much. However, I know they will take care of things as my car gets older and needs more maintenance. Thanks!!!

These guys are crooks! Never go here for a smog inspection. They said my car wouldn’t pass inspection because my computer system in my car wouldn’t communicate with their computer. They told me to come back for a diagnostic check, Eric said my car is old and that is to be expected. The visual inspection and the emissions passed fine. I went to a smog certified only place and my car passed fine, no issues, she said my car is like brand new. She then told me that this place has been reported before, because it is a smog/​service place they make NO money on smog inspections. So they make up problems with electrical problems, when there isn’t any. A woman took her car there and they said the same thing and gave her a quote of $ 1500 for electrical problems, that need to be fixed. She left and went and got her car emissions done at a smog only place without an issue. These people are crooks!

Wow…these guys are crazy.

Guy and Eric are a great team. We have taken all our cars here for service over the last 12 years and have NEVER had one complaint. They are honest, competent, funny and we trust them! I am sure you can find cheaper gas somewhere else but I have never felt it was way more expensive than other places. Oh and BTW-​air and water may be «free» but is it free to Leucadia Shell when they pass it on to us from a device?

Unlike the other reviewers I had BOTH good and bad expereinces here. Guy is great and very helpful and yes his service is quality all around when i went to get a tune up and oil change and whatnot, but when i brought in my own rotors and pads and wanted them to install it they wanted to charge me $ 320 for the install. Although i could do it myself in a few hours, that’s more than what i got the powerstop brake/​rotor front/​rear set for. Frankly i didn’t have 90 minutes or i would have done it myself, but to go in there and be quoted with my own boxed and plastic sealed brakes/​rotors (upgraded from stock). Even if it took them 2 hours (really slow) that would be $ 160/​hr labor. To install a transmission it costs about twice that, so that doesn’t make sense. After that I went home and made time to do it myself becuase althought they may be great on some things, others they are not. Sometimes you need more than 1 guy.

Went to another local place and was given a laundry list of unnecessary things to be done and quoted with an obviously generous MU on parts. The other place was jacking up prices literally sentence after sentence without logical explanation or documentation.
A friend referred me to Guy and Eric. I took the car in, they checked it out, couldn’t duplicate the problem so didn’t charge me for the diagnostic (I paid $ 0) and they told me to come back in when the problem happens again. They were constantly searching for ways to save me money. They also took time to check online forums to try to understand why the other place gave me such a high quote. Amazingly knowledgeable and honest. I’ve found my mechanic. They definitely have potential for 5 stars.

Guy and his staff at the service station are super. I cannot explain how happy I am with the service. Guy is quite possibly the most knowledgeable, friendly, trustworthy and honest mechanic on the planet. My husband and his family have been taking their cars to him for over 25 years. I took my car in yesterday to have some idle issues looked at. Guy had some suspicions based on the information I gave him. His suspicions were right, he replaced the part and I had my car back in less that 5 hours. I got gas at the station the today and he came right up to me to ask how it was running and chat about the car’s general health, like a friend who truly cared. He knew that the car was in a front end accident, with out me telling him. He said he could tell by how the steering didn’t feel as tight as a Honda normally feels. Wow! He is so aware and in tune with cars… its like magic. Worth every penny. Super nice guy, you can chat with like an old buddy. I won’t trust my car to any one else, from now on.

The mechanic’s here are honest, quick and you only have to bend over if you drop your keys.

Trust me when I say you can trust the auto repair guys at this place.
Referred by a friend, this place has never let me down. No messing around with repairing unnecessary parts on my cars. They fix it right and they are easy to talk to. This is probably my shortest review but I just want to be clear, they’re just good people and I appreciate their service.
So that’s it! Just good honest work.
