Lora Calcara Photography

This review is long overdue and well deserved:
Lora was extremely kind enough to photograph not only my brothers family but mine as well. I am very picky about photographs as I am a firm believer that they are memories caught frozen in time…
My family has been due for a complete family picture (my husband and I are always in a rush with 3 kids that we never have had a chance to be in front of the camera– let’s face it: sometimes you feel rushed but that was NOT the case with Lora). With that said, I was desperate for it to be perfect… And Lora delivered past my expectations.
Lora has a way with capturing the perfect photographs that are natural and not staged like most. She seems to have mastered taking photographs and especially works perfectly well with Mother Nature. She advised she wanted to take pictures when the sun started setting and I will be quite honest that I was a bit nervous. I was worried we would not have enough light to get great pictures but I was wrong! Our pictures turned out great.
If you are looking for a great photographer, I can assure you that your best investment (and it is so worth it!) is those memories captured frozen in time by Lora. She is professional in every aspect, patient (we have little kids in our family), and her passion and love for photography is genuine and it clearly shows. Her artistic apability is unique.
We felt very comfortable with her and she is captures every detail. From the location to the perfect time the sun will set, she has mastered it.
I would definitely recommend this beautiful woman to anyone and everyone and look forward to future sessions with her.

So after trying a few different photographers in San Diego county, I think we finally found our go to family photographer! Lora photographed our newborn and his older sister a few days after he was born. Our toddler is camera shy and doesn’t really like to pose for pictures yet Lora was able to capture some amazing shots! We will forever cherish these photos — beautiful and creative. I especially love how she uses natural light to highlight her portraits. She has an eye for beauty and composition and frames each shot beautifully. It also helps that she is a sweet person and her prices are very reasonable. We definitely plan on calling her again very soon for a photoshoot.
