I just started getting into yoga, and with 3 weeks in… I can tell a huge difference with my body & mind. This place is the best in town, the grounds are always clean & the instructors are always warm, welcoming, and informative. I have been taking Hot Power Fusion (one of the hottest classes) with my girlfriend — WE LOVE IT! Caitlin is the BEST, if you get a chance to take her class… take it! Today we did essential oil infused into the hot yoga class, something new and great is always welcomed. We enjoy our time here so much, my girlfriend is considering becoming a instructor (from cross fit to yoga — who knew :-)).

True to the CorePower brand: very nice studio, friendly staff, and wonderful classes. I had previously only been to the Sherman Oaks and Studio City locations, but I first came to the Encino location last week for an early C2 class. Everything was great! A lot of the same instructors that teach at Sherman Oaks teach here as well. The studio is easy to find, has great parking and very spacious. This locker room was huge – ample lockers with nice (CLEAN) showers. My C2 class was ridiculously hot, but if you’re a hot yoga fan like myself, this is a good class to try. I loved it. Great way to start my Saturday morning!

Just to preface this — I never write Unilocal reviews, I don’t care about being an «Elite», and I find many Unilocal reviews/​reviewers to be pretty obnoxious. With that being said, I only give a review if I feel absolutely necessary.
CorePower Yoga is undoubtedly a 5-​star yoga studio. I started with the 1 week free and fell in love with this studio & its classes/​instructors. I frequent Encino and Westlake, but have been to Sherman Oaks as well. I always have a great experience. Everyone is extremely welcoming and friendly, which we all know isn’t the case in many studios around LA. The instructors are all very knowledgable and don’t give off that «I’m trying to be an actor, but this pays the bills» vibe. Every instructor genuinely seems to care about your experience (if they don’t — they really are good actors! ;)) I also love that they’re not salespeople either. I am always completely turned off by a studio/​gym if they immediately try to sell me something after. (*cough*Yogaworks*)
I haven’t taken class with every instructor (though I plan on it!), but so far I’ve really enjoyed taking class with Caitlin R., Stevie, and Jami. I’ve had amazing classes in Westlake with Christina and Doug too.
Also, it’s a total bonus that parking is easy and free!
Definitely recommend taking advantage of the one-​week unlimited if you’re looking for a fantastic studio to call your mat’s home!

Decided to drop in for a class the other day and to my dismay, once again, a good instructor was subbed out by a teacher fresh out of teacher training. That was the first problem… next, the heat was unexpectedly not working. Okay, problem 2… I figured the instructor would modify the class so that we could build internal heat from a more vigorous flow. No such luck! Problem 3.
CPY Encino is so CONVENIENT for me to get to, but instead I choose to drive out to Y7 on Melrose or Set and Flow on LaBrea because the quality of the class is worth it. CPY is no longer the most affordable yoga option out there and it also isn’t the best.

Ever fear sweat backsliding up your nose?
I never did until my first downward dog.
My fave teachers would be: Stevie R. and Victoria San.
I took Simone once and I loved how she showed us how to do some intermediate moves, and took the time to allow ourselves to play around to attempt to further advance our practice.
I took a YS class with another teacher who was a little firecracker! She had so much energy, each move she did was explosive.
Philips class was in the dark. Apparently, the last class on Sunday is always done in the dark. It was cool. But being a newbie, it was sort of difficult for me to observe others doing the pose in the dark. I am still in the process of putting the name of the pose and the pose together, so I have to look at other people for reference. Nonetheless, I Ioved the new movements, and I was able to use the blocks for the first time in this class.
This facility is always pretty clean. They are always fully stocked with the essential amenities like: locks and hair ties… shampoo, conditioner, soap, neutral odor body spray, etc… Thank God…
But one time, a lady came after class and moped the sweat… I hope that mop isn’t used in the restrooms…
But, why the 4 stars???
More than half the time, it’s hard to check in the front because they are busy chatting…
Unless it was with Stevie, Victoria, or Simone… They were pretty easy to check in with, which also made them stand out as instructors.
The front can keep chatting, it’s ok, that’s awesome but acknowledge the other people coming in and just check us in with a swipe of the card so we can get ready for class and settle in.
And… One last thing…
One time, I paid to borrow a mat, the girl made me get one from outside, all of them were still wet with… With I am pretty sure… Is sweat… DISGUSTING…
Not sure if they wipe these yoga mats down at all, or just let it air dry…

I had to keep paying for these suckers, bring your own and save your money.
I’m really thankful that they offer a week free because it really lets me experience what Core Power has to offer.
I prefer this location over the Sherman Oaks and Studio City because of the cleanliness (for the most part) and the ample amount of parking spots.

Great workout! Hot, 60 minute yoga classes focusing on your core.
I believe the type of yoga is a Vinyasa flow (sorry no expert) but I do know you leave feeling detoxed and like I got a killer workout.
I’ve taken C1, C2, and Hot Power Fusion. I’d say C2 and HPF classes are my favorite.
Just make sure not to be late. They close their doors. Bummer.

Evil teacher would not let me take a class because I was a little late due to «safety of her students.» Sorry but I’m not new to working out and can handle myself just fine.
The real reason I was late — I live an hour away and there was crazy traffic. The reason I chose this location was bc it is close to my office. I arrived to the location early, but circling the block because I missed the parking entrance made me 10 min late (bc Ventura is nuts at 8am). By the time I got into the studio and put my stuff away and I arrived to class I was told that I’m «I’m just way too late.» I was irritated and walked away, as would any person who just spent over an hour trying to get somewhere only to be turned away, I then proceeded to get ready for work in the locker rooms upon which the teacher had time to interrupt her class to come and find me just to tell me while I stand there naked about how I shouldn’t be rude. Excuse me– I was rude? You ruined my whole day and I’m the one that’s rude? I woke up at the butt crack of dawn, packed a gym bag and work clothes and then fought an hour traffic for this shit.
I’m a paying client and if I want to pay for an hour class and only take 30 minutes of it that’s my business (it was not even a yoga class but a HIIT class so it is not like I was disturbing anyone one by arriving late).
I’m so upset I can’t even. Won’t even go into how much stress I’m under and how badly I just wanted a workout. It is a very busy season at work for me right now and the 2 – 3 workouts I allow myself are basically all the free time/​me time/​treat myself time I have and this evil teacher just took that time away from me and ruined my whole day, which I basically had to plan around this whole workout. I guess they are in the business of spreading negative vibes and irritating people. There are many gyms and studios that would have happily had me (10 minutes late or ten minutes early) this morning. Instead I chose this horrid place with annoying petty teacher. Won’t see me or my money again.

This place is really cool. Right now I am on free trial for a week. I went with my friends Ash and Rox. We had a blast. I was recommended to come out by my friend Ash and Stevie was our teacher.
Notes:
Drink lots of water before the class before as you should anways.
They have mats and towels for first timers. But they charge you for rentals for $ 1 dollar towels and $ 2 mats to rent.
Plenty of parking in the back.

Wow. Just wow. Was 6 minutes late for a class and got turned away. Not only will I lose the fee for the class that I paid for but also my babysitter that I hired so I could catch a break from the kids and practice some self care. It is ridiculous to not offer more flexibility at a yoga studio. Namaste.

Emma Weber’s class is the best! I couldn’t even touch my toes before going to my first class and Emma has helped so much. Her corrections are spot on and I can more than touch the floor now. The whole studio gave me a great experience that makes me happy to come back to. Best of all, plenty of easy parking!

The instructors Kallie and Phillip are amazing! Kallie creates a flow that will literally restore your body to its former youth. She wrings all of the tightness and rigidity out of your body. Leaving you open and overjoyed. There is yoga then there is Kallie. Thank you Kallie.
Phillip is the man! He guides you into trance like zen state. You flow getting elastic while getting stronger in your core. You feel every toe hitting the ground when you walk out, almost floating. Thank you Phillip. Namaste to you Both

I am giving 5 stars just for the instructor Gabriella.
I really want to be honest in my review and I hope it does not offend any of the other instructors, but Gabriella is the only sculpt instructor I like at this location.
Her classes offer the following:
1) Great music
2) Hot room
3) 10 minute planks that make you want to cuss her out as you are holding them, but leave you with a smile when you realized you can do it!
4) The exercises change all the time
5) Compound exercises
6) She makes you suck and tuck every piece of flesh on your body
7) Results, results, results!
I hope her classes don’t get packed because of this review, but I just had to share how freakin awesome I think she is. THANK YOU!!!

Corepower yoga Encino has a very fun and warm community feel. The parking is very convenient, which is great. The teachers are very personable and encouraging.
I especially enjoy Emma W.‘s classes. She is very attentive and passionate. I had the best time when she expertly guided us through eight angle pose in a c2. It was especially memorable because that was the first time the pose was broken down in a class I’d taken. She was so encouraging and happy for me when I got it and that made me even more excited!

Such a great yoga studio! I’ve taken multiple classes with Emma W. C1.5s and C2s and she’s AMAZING. Great energy and such a good teacher! Would definitely recommend her classes

I’ve been to three locations — Studio City, Sherman Oaks, and Encino. They’re pretty much all the same except for the parking situation. Studio City charges for parking and Sherman Oaks has complimentary valet (but who needs that when valet scratches your brand new lexus and then denies it.) This location is stress and charge free so you could get your namaste on!

I love Core power yoga in Encino! It is a nice, clean studio and the best part are the teachers especially Gabriella Danu! I have taken many classes in my life and found she is one of the best teachers!
I took her class last week and she had a way about her that motivates her students and she also corrects them and she knows what she is talking about. It is such a fun upbeat class! Gabriella is one of the reasons that I continue to take classes at CPY.
If you want to get into great shape try her class! You will get a fun awesome workout!

My sister asked me to come with her to a hot yoga class, little did I know it would forever change me. In the beginning of starting anything new one may find themselves nervous or timid at the thought of messing up or not doing postures the right way. At CPY the instructors are so warm and inviting. They are there to help adjust you so you are working through the movements correctly.
I love this location, there is plenty of parking and the space is large enough to accommodate all that come to practice. Plus it always very clean!
Stevie is one of my favorite instructors at this location. Her voice is so calming and her energy is incredible. There has never been a day where I didn’t leave her class feeling like I could take on the world.
Jake is also amazing! I love taking his Sculpt class! He is intense and thanks to that I’m already seeing the results in my body! His music is great and it pumps you up!
Thank you CPY Encino for always being consistent. It’s so nice to be able to come into a location where the energy is always so pleasant!

Highly recommend taking Monica’s class. She’s amazing. Plays the best music. Gives you an amazing workout. I workout 6 days a week and I’m always sore after her class. I wish she taught more night time classes. Get a natural high when I leave her class!
I also highly recommend taking Sarah West’s class. She destroys it. Makes you have a killer workout. Plays great music and you feel amazing after.

Another review for another CPY location. I have been coming here for a year now and my love for the CPY studio chain has grown immensely. I would say that CPY Encino has become my second home away from home. which is like less than 5 miles away from my actual living quarters.
I love the instructors here they are all super friendly.
I enjoy taking Gabriella’s sculpt classes, if you want a drill like sergeant which a no BS attitude from Eastern Europe she will kick your ass into shape! She has a sick body for her age and she really cares about her students. She is definitely really friendly to chat with after class and she will remember your name and help you push harder in class.
Phillip is also another no BS instructor which the best body you will ever set your eyes on. His routines for sculpt are killer, be ready to get your epsom salt baths ready because you will be sore!!! His playlist are incredibly well curated and fit well into the class routine, if you are ever down and need some cheering up he will make you laugh so hard your abs will hurt!
Also if you want to relax and take a more traditional bikram yoga class, go to Emma W’s Hot Power Fusion (HPF) class. She her voice is definitely soothing and mellow it will help you get into the yoga headspace for you to improve on your practice and gain more flexibility. She is very nice and open to chatting! She knows all about clean eat and fitness so definitely give her a shoutout.
The facilities here are clean and kept up to par! The only CPY studio with a great parking lot behind the studio! which is a big plus compared to all the other studios on Ventura Blvd.

Great Studio. Very clean it feels like a spa.
I have been going here for a year and I go 3 – 4 times a week.
Gabriella’s Sculpt class is a great work out!!!
The yoga maybe somewhat generic but still a great place for beginners and intermediate level yogis.
I have also met a lot of nice people there which is just a bonus on top of the great classes and workout.
