As a teenager I didn’t watch TV, with the exception of What Not To Wear. I was fascinated to find that I could learn to dress my best for my body type and took many notes from the show through the years. However as life got busy with marriage, college, work and I started to dress more for comfort and began to feel less confident in my personal style secretly hoping I could get nominated to «win» an all new wardrobe and look. I kept everything thinking I would either get back into a certain size, tailor items to fit, or keep pieces until the style rolled back around. The result? Not good and borderline hoarding, ha! This summer I approached my 10 year wedding anniversary and felt deflated, the show ended so I could never hope to be «nominated» for a big style update. So I called Heidi with Distill Design and set up a consultation. She took time at the beginning to talk about my style preferences, gave me great notes on how to dress best for my body shape, and work with the pieces I had. We spent an afternoon sifting through my closets to select the«classic pieces» to keep– like the black pant, dress, skirt, and WHY they work so well. Then we sifted through the colorful items to keep only the best for my skin/hair/eye colors. I learned a great lesson– Just because it fits, doesn’t mean I need to buy it. I am not opposed to purchasing a great piece in duplicate colors, but I realized I don’t need all the colors of the rainbow for that«Just in Case» moment. I also realized I had a habit of buying things because I liked the concept, even if they didn’t look great on me. Heidi provided so much guidance and praised the good pieces I did select which made me feel more confident that I know great style principles and maybe just got a little lazy. This style update came at the perfect time. We purchased our first home and I was finally confident that as I packed my wardrobe and accessories up I knew I was keeping only the best and making room by discarding the things I no longer needed. Change is so inspiring! Many thanks to Heidi, I would highly recommend her services for anyone needing a change.

Heidi with Distill is a powerhouse of organizational talent. She agreed to take on our cramped, trashed garage(which was a laundry/storage/everything except cars garage — you know the type). After our consultation, I felt completely assured that she understood me, our family’s needs, and our vision for what we wanted the garage to be. When she began to work, well, I have rarely seen people work so fast, yet still so well. She is so efficient that every hour of her work would take me two hours to accomplish the same amount. I truly felt that she was respectful of every hour that we had scheduled her for — in short, a great use of your dollar! The end result is that our garage is a completely organized, a-place-for-everything-and-everything-in-it’s-place space where -*get this-* I look forward to stepping into to do laundry! Not kidding! My garage is the new man cave, but for the lady. Thank you, Distill Design & Heidi!

Heidi at Distill Design is AWESOME!!! Highly Recommended! Heidi organized our entire house and even gave us enough extra space to convert our tandem garage into another bedroom. She is really talented at what she does! We are so glad that we called her!
