King David and Jonathan

I am a new home owner and needed some major upgrades to my kitchen and bathroom. Researched several companies and decided to go with King David and Jonathan. Their prompt response to my inquiries and questions put me at ease. The projects were completed on time and within my budget. Both rooms look fantastic and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I will be using King David and Jonathan for future home improvement projects.

King David and Jonathan… this is a great company. I am really picky when it comes to finding a company to do work to my home. I needed my kitchen and flooring done. I searched different companies. Then i found King David and Jonathan. They really knew what they were doing. I had a complete kitchen remodel and they wowed me with the material and price they gave me. Me and my wife are amazed on the great quality work and how beautiful our kitchen and flooring came out.
King David and Jonathan outdid themselves.

They did my kitchen complete, white shaker cabinets, granite counter top, tile back splash Mosaic and lights gfi dimmrrs and paint, they finished in or weeks, David was very nice all the way and I am very happy

Remove my old front yard grass, planter and plants, 2 trees, and property line cement footer.
I have a large wall that separates the front yard from the courtyard.
They built a new planter and decorate, the wall and both sides of my garage with beautiful natural stone.
They also built a sidewalk and 2 sitting areas in my courtyard, around my 6 foot tall waterfall.
They used brick red cement to make the area special and not just plane cement around my waterfall.
They also installed new grass and automatic sprinklers in the front yard, and added a low, foot high divider wall at my property line and decorated it on both sides with matching decorative stone.
The planter and all walls were also decorated with beautiful capstone.
Notes about the original bid.
Just be careful when choosing stone because some stone cost more that others and you can run up a large bill depending on the stone you choose.
My original quote was for $ 15,000.
When I went down to the stone yard to see the stone I notices these gorgeous stones that looked even better that what I had originally agreed on.
When I told them I wanted to switch to the new stone, they said this most expensive stone was not in the budget and that to use it would raise the cost of the job by the difference. It took a lot of stone to cover my planter and both walls.
This is why the job cost increased by $ 5,000, but it was worth it.
My yard is so beautiful that many of the neighbors have complimented me for having the nicest yard in the neighborhood.
Some asked for their business card because they liked it so much.
This yard is easier to care for and makes me proud to live there.
They sure know how to pick good workers.

I loved working with the project manager. Simon He understood everything that I didn’t want and also wanted. When we realized more work was needed, he had his men handle it. They were very honest and gave good advice. My project manager was excellent in his taste of matching flooring with he cabinets. I am extremely pleased with the quartz shade that was put in. They gave me the option of a six inch back-​splash or tile. Details e were agreed upon beforehand. He knew I wanted a lighter kitchen and I got it. I am more than pleased with the outcome. What is so nice about this is I could call EITHER partner, and I would get one of them on the line each time. It looks wonderful.
After they finish my kitchen, they replace me tile at the shower, with a white waive modern style including granite at bench area, results more than amazing

Pros: The general contractor, Simon, always stayed in contact with us; if there was something we did not like it was fixed, provided a 3D design image for the kitchen before we began; provided all items included in the contract; Simon is professional for the most part; final product looks really nice (mostly because I have a good eye for interior design); Simon is good about waiting to cash checks until approved by the customer; in all honesty I give Simon lots of credit for finishing the job completly.
Cons: We were promised a completion time of 2 month max, however the job took 7 month to complete; more often than not Simon promised a work crew would be at our house, but never showed up; we had workers at our house about 20% of the time during the 7^th month remodel period; workmanship was iffy unless we complained; cabinet quality is rather low for prefab; we could have hired a custom cabinet maker for the same price; Simon hires all subcontractors so he has no control of when they will work; handymen completed most of the work including some plumbing and electrical; Simon is generally not very knowledgable about the remodel process so he does NOT anticipate what materials will be needed, creating a huge time lag; Simon and David would try to charge us extra for every small thing; we were offered under cabinet lighting with our kitchen, but no one knew how to install it; workers were generally not careful and often damaged one thing while fixing another; it almost felt like we contracted our own job because we had to deal with all the arrangements and subcontractors.
Recommendations: If you do go with King David and Jonathan be sure to get a completion date agreement. Do not let them add additional costs for anything. Be clear that you will only continue to work with them if there are no added costs. Demand high quality work and do not settle until you are completely satisfied. Make Simon provide all materials as soon as possible so it does not create delays. Don’t be fooled by the fancy 3D design.

We requested a kitchen remodel estimate from the company, it did not go smooth for the first time, Shimon, the owner, called to apologize and came to our house to give us an estimate. We appreciated his sincerity and hope to work with him in the near future.

I choose king David and Jonathan to replace my roof and windows and the did a great job within 7 days, my house at Malibu look better than ever …
