Thank you to everyone who gave Mike such great reviews. It’s Saturday afternoon, I had company for lunch, and wouldn’t you know that my kitchen sink backed up … despite the fact that I always run water in the garbage disposal and turn it on BEFORE putting food into it. Mike was here in less than 30 minutes, cleaned out the drain, and explained exactly why my drain backed up. (It wasn’t anything I did … it’s the way the kitchen plumbing is installed in my house.) Mike is to be commended for providing prompt and courteous service with a warm smile. I’m happy to be a member of the M&M Plumbing fan club, too.

He is the nicest most intelligent plumber I have ever met. I was frustrated as my plumber had flaked on me several times and I wanted my sink repaired. He showed up within an hour of calling to give me an estimate and was willing to do the repair on the spot even though it was late in the afternoon. Thanks Mike!

I woke up on a Sunday morning at 4:30 to the sound of water running. It was coming from outside where the main shutoff is and was gushing water. I turned off the main. Our landlord had sent someone to fix this problem a week before, but he had no idea what he was doing.
I called M&M Plumbing mainly because the website said Sat & Sun service. Mike called back immediately and said he would be here in an hour. He showed up on time and knew right away what the problem was. He replaced the regulator and even agreed to send the bill to our landlord.
I was very pleased that Mike was willing to work on a Sunday morning and that he arrived so quickly. I think his price was pretty high, but you get what you pay for, so I am happy.

Quick visit and quick fix! He was very informative… Wish he was a little cheaper though… But since I’m a beginner at this maybe this is a normal range. Don’t know…

I called Mike just to get an idea of what I needed to do in order to fix my backed up shower and toilet. I told him it wasn’t an emergency since it was our guest bath, but he said he’d come by later that day to take a look. He called before he came to make sure I was home (it’s so nice when you have a heads-​up!) and he spent a few minutes looking and knew the problem instantly. He said he could come back the next morning at 9 am to fix it, so in less than 24 hours I had a consult and a quick fix that took about one hour. What I appreciated most about Mike was that he took the time to explain what was wrong with our pipes. I feel much more comfortable knowing exactly what I’m spending my money on and most service calls just want to move on to the next client. Mike took the time out of his Saturday to walk me through the process and I will now ONLY be calling Mike for plumbing problems. He also said he’d come back to fix a clog for free since I had already paid for the roto-​rooter service. I would definitely recommend Mike to anyone for his services!

I’ve had an issue with no hot water flowing in the faucet in 3 bathrooms for many years. I’ve had several plumbers look at them and not been able to figure out how to fix the issue. I called Mike because my Dad is coming into town and the faucet in his bathroom needed to be fixed quickly! Mike came that afternoon and fixed 2 of the bathrooms… we negotiated the price… and he’s returning tomorrow to fix the 3^rd bathroom. All in all, he was fast and fixed my hot water problem! I called to just ask a few questions that only a professional can answer regarding my apartment plumbing. No one would take the time and day to help answer my concerns including the company, L.A. Hydro-​jet & Rooter Service, who had worked on my apartment issues and couldn’t seem to fix the problem the first time.
Mike returned my call and throughly explained how draining systems work and helped me understand how to prevent this reoccurring problem.

Just called to inquire about the cost to clean out a drain in my kitchen. The man quickly asked what city, to which I replied San Fernando. He said he’s only in Beverly Hills this week and next. «Wellll, excuuuuuse me!» Guess they aren’t interested in business from those of us on the wrong side of the tracks. Moving on…

I just called, and told them I live in a two house. They said they do not work in townhouse. I asked why. And they hang up on me… Seriously? Wow! Impressed by their attitude!

Mike from M&M was great. He showed up within an hour of my call, was extremely knowledgeable and quickly and easily fixed our problems with the bathroom faucet and toilet. Very happy to have everything working properly now!

We just had them come here today to replace my broken garbage disposal, and the service was quick and efficient. They came about an hour after I called and were gone within about 20 minutes. Highly recommended!

Mike came in the middle of an emergency. My grandma was getting scammed by some very dishonest plumbers because she was an easy target. They told her she was going to need all kinds of emergency repair work and it was going to cost over $ 24,000. They still robbed my grandma and left with $ 1200 for two hours of work. In the end Ritz plumbing didn’t even finish the job they said they completed. Mike fixed the original problem and Ritz’s mistakes for far less money. I really wish we had just called him in the first place. He was responsive, fast and honest. Not much more you can ask for in a plumber. He took extra time to make sure we understood everything that was going on with the plumbing situation and what needed to be done to fix the issue.

So I was having a really bad day yesterday, but Mike at M&M plumbing made it all good!
I will go into detail below about my experience, but for those who want to skip my drama and just know my assessment first/​only, then here it is —
My experience with Mike (aka M&M Plumbing) was excellent! Top notch service on every level.
Anyone looking for guidance for a good plumber in the Valley, I highly recommend M & M Plumbing.
The details:
I called Mike (at M&M plumbing) on the 16^th, and he scheduled for the next day in the morning. It was amazing not having to wait a week (or more) to get someone in here to fix a garbage disposal in my kitchen that was no longer running.
And there was another issue having to do with the filtered water system. It sounded like someone was playing a Tuba below the sink whenever we tried to get clean water.
He was right on time for the 9a.m. appointment on the 17^th.
His appearance was professional in every way — clean, appropriately dressed, exhibiting a professional manner in every way. He was even sweet enough to put up with three barking yorkie terriers!
He checked out the situation and his assessment didn’t come as a surprise — we needed a new garbage disposal unit. I figured as much when the last time it showed signs of life smoke was coming from the unit.
Mike checked out the water filter situation and immediately suggested we try another filter… which we did. Guess what? Problem solved: apparently the filter we were using was not 100% operative and was causing the loud groaning/​tuba noise. Everything was back to normal with a new filter.
He gave me his estimate for a new garbage disposal unit, and after I agreed on the costs of the repair, Mike set about doing the job.
Less than an hour later, he was done. He showed me the new unit, showed me the old unit, showed me that everything was working great…
And the amount he quoted me was the amount I paid.
Unbelievable that the whole experience went like clockwork.
Mike and I should have parted ways and not seen each other for a couple months…
But we ended up seeing each other just a few hours later. And it was my fault… not his.
Later in the day, I’m cleaning hair out of my wife’s sink (she had asked me to ask the plumber about the situation, but I didn’t do it; so you can imagine the shit I got later) and the more I work on the sink, I start to realize there’s a bigger problem! There’s actually a leak in the pipe below the sink.
I grab a pot, some towels and clean out the area…
And called Mike.
I told him about the new problem, and he said he would be over in about an hour and a half.
One hour and half later, Mike returns.
He checks out the situation in my wife’s bathroom.
He swipes out the bad pipe for a new pipe.
He snakes the system for the blockage that clearly caused the problem in the first place.
And in less than an hour he’s done.
Sink is working great.
The bill for his services is once again more than reasonable.
We talk about dogs… and then he’s gone again.
Two visits on the same day.
Both experiences professionally handled.
Sadly, I’m sure I’ll need to call him again soon, but hopefully the next time it will be just the one visit.
Bottomline — I know who to call for plumbing problems if I want the problem fixed, and I want to be treated honestly and fairly.

If you live in Encino, using Mike is a no-​brainer.

We have called Mike twice for services already and he has been prompt and efficient with every visit.
For the first visit, my kitchen was flooding and after two visits from other plumbers, we still have not figured the exact source. Along came Mike. He came at the late hour of midnight and not only found the correct issue (piping issue from my washing machine), he stayed around to help me wipe up my whole kitchen. That’s service that is above and BEYOND! Thanks to Mike, I didn’t have to have nightmares about drifting off within a flooded house that night.
For the second visit, we were having water heater issues, and he came to figure out that our landlord didn’t have a proper ventilation system in place, and was able to repair it for us the following day. This is a HUGE safety hazard for the house, and Mike could’ve saved us from one of the most dangerous issues that lead to a lot of combustions and Co2 leaks in homes. Phew.
Mike is prompt, efficient, fair with his pricing and an overall great guy! What more can you ask for?

Mike came to help me because my showerhead was lacking water pressure. We made an appointment and he showed up at the exact time he promised. He fixed the problem swiftly and charged me a very good price. I will now go to mike for all my plumbing needs.

Called Mike after having read so many good reviews and I had a very pleasant experience. He’s a very nice guy and a VERY good plumber. He knew what to do right away and gave me a good price. He arrived within an hour and fixed everything my tub and toilet very quickly. I had another plumber try to fix my toilet and it was fixed about an hour, Mike knew what to do and it has been running great since! He was even nice enough to put up with my curious puppy who was very intrigued as to what he was doing. :)
