An amazing place, I joined a little over a year ago an fell on love with the people, the community, and the spirituality of the place. Makom Ohr Shalom is Jewish Renewal and is wonderful!

Makom Ohr Shalom is my home temple for about 25 years. I came for the uplifting amazing music, stayed for the teachings, Torah & lovely people. Almost everything that I learned about Judaism, I learned from the clergy & my peers at Makom. Very warm, egalitarian & haimish. Makom is a part of Jewish Renewal, bringing people back to our roots. When I had health challenges, Makom members supported me in every way. I have participated in the Board, on committees, volunteer to give service to my spiritual community. The first person that I met when I walked through the doors remains my best girlfriend to this day. Membership is affordable, & High Holidays tickets are included with your paid membership. No one is ever turned away due to finances, & confidential arrangements can be made for those in need. Visit our new website at

Honestly some of the nicest people I have ever met. I had the pleasure of designing their web site and so I have met with them many times. They are wonderful people, with good hearts and love to get together and do great things for the community. Definitely something I would love to be a part of!
