Our Country Hearts is one of the best restaurants in the Southern Tier. The staff is always friendly and ready to help, the food is always good, and the specials are fantastic. The fact that it is a furniture atore, gift shop, and restaurant adds to the eclectic and cozy ambiance. Everything is reasonably priced, and it’s a family-friendly place.

I give you one star because I’ve never felt more I unwelcome and uncomfortable in a restaurant. The staff acted as we were an annoyance and were very unfriendly and unaccomodating. Basic lunch food that is over priced. We had to leave and won’t be returning! Very disappointed

Love their unique furniture. Restaurant food is very good! Quick service. Was able to work with them in the furniture part on prices.

The Store: As with most impulse purchases the markeup is high. Quality is better than most, but prices are way outdone by their competition. Seriously: $ 7– for a box of 20 teabags? The clerk gave us a quizzical look, but we took it just the same. The café: Not bad. Crowd tends to be older. Furniture part: Some quality but again, priced. Seems the adverts inflate prices, but it’s a fine place to browse.

My wife and I stopped in for the first time Saturday night for dinner. We loved the place the moment we walked in through furniture store. Friendly, casual greeting as we were shown to dining area. Beautiful inside! We stopped in close to closing, but were not rushed. Everyone was exceptionally friendly, attentive and GENUINE throughou Our Visit. Food was phenomenal! My burger was actually prepared RARE, as requested… without the whining or insulting, childish admonishment of serving rare meat. Their desserts were unbelievably good! This has become one of our favorite, local spots! If you have not, please stop in! You will not be disappointed!

Great staff. Good classic diner food. Excellent French Onion soup. Yes, the gift shop and furniture store are odd partners, but they’re all under one ownership and it all seems to work. The furniture side is exceptional with great quality stuff and a great staff there too. Overall, a really fun destination. Don’t miss the ice cream next door either,

We ate here because our first choice restaurant was closed and this was close by. There was a 15 minute wait for a table, the service was horrendous, and we were the youngest people in the restaurant by 30 years. The lemon chicken I had was good, but the wait for our food was so long that anything would have tasted good. Probably won’t go back.

Our Country Hearts is a gift store, a furniture store, AND a small restaurant. Sound odd? Yeah, it sorta is. The furniture sales staff seem to double as hosts/reservation takers — but it all seems to run quite smoothly. At the very least, the furniture store(which also currently hosts the entrance to the restaurant part) provides a very comfy/spacious place to wait for your table.(We waited 10 – 15 minutes at around 10:30 am — a peak Sunday breakfast time. Breakfast menu runs till 11:45 on Sundays.) Food? Mmmm. We were personally impressed. Simple and comforting and very hearty portions. Think Belgian waffles, a large selection of omelets, pancakes, eggs, meats, etc. The obligatory buttered toast with jam on the side. Home fries that had just a touch of spice — they weren’t either raw or mushy — just perfect little fried nuggets of potato yumminess. The décor is casual — country kitchen chic. Lots of tchotchkes(for sale, natch) on the wall. Diner attire ranged from John Deere hats and hoodies to pressed church suits. Service was very attentive. Our server never let my coffee mug get fully empty, nor did she forget to bring syrup, ketchup, etc., nor did she rush us out of our table. Prices are very reasonable — cheaper than IHOP for better quality food. $ 5.50 for a large omelet stuffed with veggies and cheese, $ 5.00 or so for three plate-sized pancakes, $ 1.75 for an extra side of bacon, $ 1 – 2 for beverages. A highly recommended breakfast place — and you can look walk over to the adjoining gift shop while you digest afterwards!
