This charming diner has so much going for it. A relaxed, jazz-infused atmosphere, comfortable booths, a hearty breakfast, friendly service and clean tables. The food is reasonably priced and the choice expansive. I must admit, the texture of the pancakes was perfect: not an easy thing to pull off. We were well looked after with plenty of nice, hot coffee refills. Restroom was clean and the glass basin was a nice touch; could do with some coat hooks on the door, maybe. Highly recommended!

What a gem… Atmosphere leaves a little bit to be desired but the burgers make up for that! Pancakes were also awesome! Definitely worth checking it out. Kind of feels like a Diners, Drive-ins and Dives place…

Better than average, but not great. My family of five ate lunch here for just over $ 50. That’s just too much when two of the meals are kid’s meals. My burger was decent, but over priced. My husband ordered a veggie burger that was mostly beets and strongly flavored. Nice that you have an option of sweet potato fries or onion rings, but for $ 2 extra? For the prices I expected more, but in the middle of nowhere what choice to you have?

I stopped in for a quick takeout order of 3 cold sandwiches thinking I could be in and out relatively quickly. The place only had 2 tables filled and 2 wait staff working, yet they took about 10 minutes to acknowledge my presence and it was an additional 25 minutes for my food to come out. I would have been more understanding if the place had been busy or if the food required any real prep but honestly, how long does it take to slap together a couple of cold subs? Sadly, they were not spending all that time making sure my sandwiches were awesome because when the order finally came it was wrong. Since my family was waiting for me in the car I decided to bail and asked for a refund. It became evident that was going to be a long involved process as well because there was no one on site who could process a refund(!?) and the waitress needed to run around, make phone calls, etc. I gave up and tried to leave without the money. To her credit, the waitress gave me cash and said she would reimburse herself. It was a nice gesture at the end of a wholly obnoxious experience for what appeared to be crappy food, though I have no real way of knowing since I didn’t get to eat it.

I was interested to see the reviews mentioning the great waitresses because that wasn’t our experience on Sunday evening. There were six of us– four adults and two children-and when we arrived the waitress who greeted us at the door rolled her eyes and sighed. It seemed like the challenge of seating six of us was putting her very close to the edge. My husband helped her push two tables together. We were seated and given menus. She told the children she’d be back with crayons, but she never came back! After a while we realized that the couple who had come in after us had received a basket of bread and placed their order. I flagged a waitress down and asked if someone would be waiting on us. She pointed to the other room to let us know our waitress was in there, but she did bring us a basket of rolls. Finally, our waitress(who was the person who had seated us initially) came to take our order. I can only hope it was an off night for her and for the restaurant. When our food came it was very good! If this review were only about the food, it would be five stars! If it were only about the service it would be one star. I will go back sometime to give Mickey’s another try.

Great breakfast. Service is awesome. Stopped in on the way home to Vermont. First time eating here. Will be back when we come back through Enfield. The corned beef hash is as good as it gets. It’s the real deal. Just like homemade.

This is a fantastic neighborhood tavern and restaurant. They have great deals on Taco Tuesday and Wednesday Wings. Tavern downstairs is always full of friendly people and the restaurant upstairs is great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. They serve a great rib-eye and excellent scallops. You can get the same menu in the tavern as in the restaurant. Mickey is almost always there, and checks in with the tables to see how the food is and if people need anything.

This place is so quirky yet oddly wonderful. The taco Tuesday happy hour is quickly becoming a favorite socializing event of ours. The menu is a bit large without an overarching theme, but we never bother to look past the burger section. If you like spicy foods, the jalapeño burger is pretty good. Personally, I can’t seem to leave the place without raiding the dessert table. The staff are very friendly and attentive. If you’re in the valley and looking for an affordable place to take the family or unwind after work, this is good place to stop.

We recently had lunch here with several family members. Everyone ordered burgers and fries or onion rings. I have to say this is one of the best burgers I have had at a restaurant. I would definitely eat here again when in the area.

The food was a very pleasant surprise. Expected to see the local culture and we did. But the food and service … Outstanding. My wife an I both had the Lazy man’s lobster– yummy & the sides were a good complement too. They made me a small Greek salad(instead of the jumbo). The service was efficient and very friendly. The price very reasonable. Only wish they had a better selection of beer

Consistently good and lots of variety on the menu! Good sized portions and I have never had any problem with the freshness of the food. I would recommend this place to anyone! Service is always good, although sometimes they do get overwhelmed by customers. This place is usually pretty busy!

despite being the only place to eat, it is still good. Their burgers are juicy and delicious. Servers are friendly, the place is small, but clean. Their menu is probably too large, but stick with the burgers– their specialty

Great restaurant with reasonable prices and generous portions. My friend got the garbage burger which she said was fantastic! My sweet potato fries came out soggy and lukewarm so I sent them back. Next time out they were hot and crispy. My Reuben was very good. We will try the next time for breakfast. Our waitress was very helpful and attentive.

We stopped in here during vacation(en route to the Enfield Shaker Museum), and had a really lovely lunch. Family-friendly with many options priced«just right for families.» We were pleasantly surprised that they could make any one of their many specialty burgers as veggie burgers for us. The sweet potato fries are wonderful, and they also make home made potato chips. They also have an extensive ice cream sundae menu, but we didn’t have time for dessert. I’d definitely go back if I were to return to Enfield!

Now I must say I was here yrs ago and said I would never go back, however my entire family of 8 just did this past weekend. WOW is all I can say! Such a huge menu. No more short order cook type foods. He must of hired a chef. Such good food. SO much for your $! Best seafood in all of New England and so much of it for such an affordable price. If you don’t go back and try it, you will really be missing out!

This seemed like a good place for comfort food. I ordered from the take out window and ate by the creek. The quesadilla and Ice Cream were good. There were families and kids and college students stopping by on their bicycles to make a nice summer atmosphere.

Mickey’s Roadside Café(formerly Janet’s Roadside Café) is a good local family restaurant in Enfield. The place is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner serving mostly American fare plus pizza, pasta, and ice cream. Daily specials are offered including«create your own pasta dish» for $ 9.99, served with salad and bread(Sun-Thurs after 4PM). See the menus and prices at The atmosphere inside is pretty casual and cozy with two dining areas(the back section is nice & bright) on the main level and a small bar counter(alcohol) with seating. There’s Happy Hour 4PM-5PM daily with drink specials. There’s also a special function room available. There’s also a takeout window and drive-up window(call in your order) to pick up your food. Coffee is 49 cents in the drive-thru. I stopped here for breakfast on my way through the area. I sat up at the bar counter and I was offered coffee($ 1.69) immediately. The coffee was good, not too strong. I ordered the Breakfast Burrito Special($ 6.99) served with home fries(or taters). The food was served in under 10 minutes. The grilled burrito(flour tortilla) was big and stuffed with scrambled eggs, sausage, and cheese and served with mild salsa and sour cream. The home fries were small diced grilled potatoes with onions, which was pretty good. I could not finish the burrito and had some of it boxed to go. Very full! Overall, the breakfast was enjoyable(check just under $ 10 before tip) and the service was very attentive and quick. I had 3 refills on the coffee, which I definitely needed for the long day ahead.
