Skater City is a colossal waste of time and money. It is a very low-budget and a shabby operation which is not very family friendly as their crummy commercial states. I went there with my two kids and regret the decision immensely. My wife had called ahead to check on it after my son was bugging her to go. The lady had assured her it was very family friendly which was a false statement. 1. I was charged full price for a four year old when the owner knew my daughter would not be able to participate in most of their activities. Laser tag was out of the question, and the roller skates were too big. The games are not kid friendly since 70% of them are violent shooting games. I could not participate in laser tag with my kids, so my son had to go it alone without me. So much for family fun night… 2. The customer service was abysmal. The owners tattooed ghetto son tried to act tough with me. This was difficult for me being in the position of minding two children. Had he spoke to me in the same manner solo, he would have found out what it’s like to tangle with a Navy man… I tried rectifying the situation, but the owner(who was the scrawny 20 somethings mommy) ran off to console the Hot Topic reject. Avoid this run-down waste of money like the plague. It would be more cost effective to purchase a board game, treats, and a pizza with change to spare. Or go to Chuck-E-Cheese’s if you feel compelled for electronic recreation. –EE
