Hyatt Place Denver Tech Center

Last visit — late 2015
Hyatt has been our go to hotel for 8 plus years and they never disappoint. They have open rooms with a roll out sofa bed in one section of the hotel room. Everything is nice and clean, no dust. They replenish everything and make your bed nice and neat. The staff is very very nice, there is always someone available to service your needs at the front desk. There is a coffee and cool cucumber water station when you walk in, yes both drinks are always fresh even in the middle of the night. They will even have good suggestions for places to go to if you have no idea what you are doing.
Wifi connection is good and fast and free. There is a station with 2 computers and a printer that actually works but dont hog it.
There IS A WALMART 8 minutes from the hotel — USE IT… get your water bottles 24 pack (keep it in the trunk for the rest of your vacation so you dont have to keep stopping for 1 dollar water bottles), paper towels, trash bags (for the car) and Irish Spring (cause no one can possibly take a bath with that mini soap and you have to ration it for the rest of your stay if you are too awkward to ask for a new one.)
Their soaps, shampoos, and conditioners and ESPECIALLY the lotion smell greatttttt… On our way out of Denver the TSA agents see nothing but mini toiletry bottles and soaps on the x-​ray.
So here is the great part.
Breakfast
Drinks — Coffee, Teas, Milk, Orange Juice, Apple Juice (the kind that won’t make your stomach upset cause you don’t want your stomach gurggly when you leave the hotel to start your vacation day)
Breads — Bagels, Muffins, English Muffins, Different types of bread and a nice toaster (you know the type that has the wires that rotate but you cant order it from anywhere cause its for hotels, but you would steal it if you could)
Fruits — One mixed fruit bowl and one regular fruit like grapefruit or watermelon and cottage cheese bowl.
Below items are made in the kitchen
Eggs on an English Muffin with Ham and Cheese or Bacon and Cheese
Sausage Links
Scrambled eggs with onions and red and green peppers (this one was really good)
French Toast (really good)
Butter, Jelly (in those cute little mini bottles that you really wanna steal), Cream Cheese, Peanut Butter
Pillows are also nice and fluffy, we took two pillows and a comforter in our car so one person could sleep in the back if we were late driving back from the mountains (dont worry we didnt steal that)
Parking is also nice, IT WILL FILL UP, its a little confusing cause the front parking says its for the restaurant next door but its in front of the hotel. But it wasnt too bad. I dont know what you do if you cannot find a parking space but i guess they have some solution. DO NOT confuse this HYATT with HYATT REGENCY that is a MORE EXPENSIVE HOTEL AND YOU HAVE TO PAY 10 DOLLARS EVERYDAY FOR PARKING. We found that out cause we were lost and ended up in front of their garage and saw the rates.
There are PLENTY OF PLACES TO EAT AND HANG AROUND THIS HOTEL. There is some chopped salad place across but we couldn’t try it cause it closed early on a Sunday. There are fast food, regular sandwich shops and coffee shops and pizza places. Don’t let someone talk you into going to the closest grocery store. that place is expensive… go to WALMART down the street.
Breakfast is from 6:30 to 10 on weekdays and 7 to 10 on weekends pls confirm timings
You can buy the hotels lotion online for 17 dollars or something.

I just spent an amazing four days at this hotel and I was impressed and pleased to know I’ll be coming back.
I went here for a work training at the hotel. Because I don’t really go out when I’m home and I don’t care to go out when I’m in a new area I spent 100% of my time at the hotel in my room.
The beds were very comfortable, the seating around the room was very nice.
The lobby is fantastic. There are a bunch of places to sit and read, or eat breakfast, or to just hangout while waiting for your shuttle to go to the airport.
The staff was very friendly and everyone I passed by either smiled or smiled and said hello.
They have a ²⁴⁄₇ food service which was fantastic because I got to the hotel after an all day of travel at 11:30 and I was super happy to be able to order a delicious pizza.
The outside of the hotel was well kept up and clean.
Everything about this hotel was fantastic and if it’s a convenient location for you, stay here.

We stayed here for 5 nights. The place is modern looking and the suite (at least the one we stayed in) was in good clean condition. For $ 100 a night, this place is almost as comparable as Embassy Suites in a sense that they provide big suite and free breakfast w/​real food! :)
The onsite staff were really friendly and helpful!
The only thing that hit us was on the last day of our stay, someone was smoking in his/​her room and it really stink up the hallway and our room. Thank god it was our last day.

Stayed at this hyatt location just for the area that it was located at. Overall same as other Hyatt’s but I felt the breakfast was a bit crazy at this particular location… Traffic to get a bite was ridiculous. Stayed on the 6^th floor for the quietness and traffic of the bottom floors. Had a complimentary drink from their coffee/​bar shop which was average with the products available.

I got to stay here when I was traveling to the Denver Tech neighborhood on a business trip. This is a great no-​frills hotel for any travelers looking for a place to stay on business. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the hotel staff were prompt with their service.
The only two gripes I have with this hotel:
— The cell signal in certain parts of the room I was in and the hallways was very, very bad. For a hotel that markets itself to business travelers, this is a pretty big downside.
— The continental breakfast was very limited (albeit, free).
If you’re looking for a place to stay, this hotel is great, but there may be other better options in the area.

It pains me to give such a low rating because there are so many things I do like about this property. Over all the rooms are a good size, and functional. The free breakfast is decent, and the bar with 24 hour food service has decent food. Service from everyone has been top notch.
But…
The internet is so slow it is practically unusable. I’ve tested several time during my stay and max download is 1.5Mbps averaging closer to 1. I can’t get work done, let alone watch a show on Netflix. It’s nice that it’s free, but I’d rather pay $ 12.99 for useable service.
AT&T phone service is terrible. I can only make a call if I’m standing right next to the window. Terribly inconvenient for work purposes.
And, this is a minor point, but that has to be the slowest elevator I’ve ever been on.
I could live with the elevator, but as a hotel that markets itself to business travelers and is located right in the Denver Tech Center, the poor cell phone service and internet are a deal breaker for me. I’ll be back in this area probably eight more nights this year, but I’ll be staying elsewhere.

We choose this location for its claim of free breakfast and dog friendly nature. We were kicked out of the lobby with our dogs this morning due to breakfast being served and the touting of the Health Code being violated. We were no where near the food, and the Manager asked me to leave twice while I explained I was waiting for my husband.
There is nothing posted anywhere that explains pets are not allowed in the lobby online or in the paperwork received explaining the pet policy. We have sat outside with our dogs on the patio in several restaurants in Denver, and thus cannot understand why we got kicked out of the lobby at a supposed dog friendly hotel. I would NOT stay here again with or without my pets because of how rudely I was treated by the General Manager; but would also caution ALL pet owners to maybe consider another place.

Terrific hotel. Very friendly and prompt staff. The place is spotless and well maintained. Huge standard rooms. Great cable TV — massive flat screens — and fast, easy wifi. Excellent breakfast. I really cannot say anything negative about my stay here.

Great staff, nice rooms, good price.

A clean hotel with a great staff. Sure the hallways smelled a little «green» at times, but I’m sure people were just catching a legal Rocky Mountain High. Our room had a king size bed that was very comfortable plus an L-​shaped couch with a pull out bed. There was a large flat screen TV that swiveled back and forth between the bed and the couch areas — good design and use of space. The only cons of the room came from the appliances: our mini fridge couldn’t keep anything cold even at full blast, the iron didn’t heat up hot enough to iron anything and the hair dryers were so week they couldn’t dry your hair. Weird.
I also have to mention the continental breakfast here was surprisingly good considering it’s complimentary and at a large chain hotel. It had lots of fresh fruit, a «Western Scramble» and even OK-​ish coffee. Of course there were your typical low grade French toast, preservative-​filled bagels and cereal. Plus they serve it till 10 a.m. for those a little late to rise.

Staff — very nice and helpful except there was one man that was watching us eat our breakfast and then at exactly 10am told us it was time to clean up, they were done.
The décor– nice in the lobby and our room but the pool area looks like crap.
The room — we had one king, non smoking room. It was room 316 right next to the elevator but the sound didn’t bother us. The TV was a real piece of crap. It was a nice, large flat screen but the quality was extremely poor. It was fuzzy and blotchy and the color was all wrong. It went in and out of being possessed. There weren’t many channels. We should have brought our laptop to watch tv online. There isn’t really a view at this hotel. It’s surrounded by tech buildings. The room was clean and somewhat spacious besides the tiny bathroom. The fridge was not plugged in. The water came out cloudy. We found old, cheap whiskey in the back of our closet.
Parking– easy and free
Pool — Not warm enough for the winter time. To bright and uninviting. Surrounded by windows so the outsiders can creepily watch you in your bathing suit but you can’t see out at night. Could use a jacuzzi. I was really hoping for a jacuzzi.
The Elevators — Smelled of smoke, needed an upgrade/​update.
The little kitchen — had a good, yet super tiny, expensive pizza. The wine and beer was decent. Note– it’s not really a restaurant in the hotel, it’s just a little snack bar in the lobby. They don’t offer room service but you can call in your order and they’ll call you to come down and get it when it’s done. There are many good restaurants very close by.
Good area if you are ok staying outside of downtown denver to save some money. We didn’t mind driving around.
I’m not sure I had ever staying in a Hyatt before but I really liked it. I’d stay here again if I were to visit Denver again.
It’s not far from the light rail that goes into downtown if you don’t want to drive.

Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. You really get a nice room and great staff. The pool is indoors and heated. It’s in a great location also. I would highly recommend this place if your visiting the denver area!

Very good, accommodating staff. Room with nice sized sitting are was a bonus. Immaculate, quiet and very happy with stay. Price was fabulous with included breakfast. Much better than I expected for the price.

I’ve stayed at this location almost weekly for the last year due to business travel and have nothing but good things to say about the service! Staff are friendly and helpful.
The rooms are comfortable and spacious and the hotel/​location is relatively quiet and within walking distance to a park with paved walking trails as well as some good restaurants.
There are several hotel options in the DTC
area, but I’ve never considered staying anywhere else.

I am not rating the Hyatt poorly, just this location. This particular night I almost stayed at the Hilton, however, I had received an email from the Hyatt that I had now become a Platinum member. One of the perks with being a Platinum member was an early check in and late check out at 2:00pm; I decided to take advantage of it. I received exceptional customer service when I checked in, but the next day was horrible. The front desk failed to communicate with housekeeping that I was checking out late and within 2 hours I was bothered by housekeeping 4 times. I was having a conversation with someone who is over seas in another country and was not happy to be bothered non stop. When I checked out, the lady had a HUGE attitude problem. To make matters worse, they failed to credit the points for my stay. I filed a complaint and the manger confirmed that the same woman who checked me out failed to communicate to housekeeping about my late check out and that he was very sorry and thanked me for my feedback so he could use it for training and how to make things better. I understand the need for training, but I will never stay at this particular Hyatt location, again.

Good option for the DTC area.

A great hotel and great service. The rooms are very nice and roomy. The only downside is AT&T cell phone coverage is horrible, possibly because there is a Verizon Wireless building next door (hmm…).
They have a bar with the basic selection, free breakfast, and snack bar for a quick (but pricey) snack. I paid $ 16 for a small sandwich, bag of chips, and a Pepsi.

We ALWAYS stay at Hyatt Place when there is one. This one was not as good as most because the bed was different and the breakfast was somewhat disappointing. The only other complaint (but this one is for all Hyatt Places) is that their line of shower products is substandard, to say the least. The scent is unappealing for both sexes and since they have gone to the dispenser model, they don’t even offer lotion anymore. A neutral scent of higher quality would serve them better! On the positive side, their hotel was clean as always, and the room was quiet and conveniently located. I will still choose the Hyatt brand over any other hotel chain…

My fiancée and I were planning a weekend getaway to Denver for my birthday. I was looking for someplace interesting and she was looking for someplace cheap. Never did I think we would both be satisfied at a Hyatt in the tech center.
The Tech Center is empty on the weekends, so traffic is minimal and the hotel is not packed, that must be why such nice rooms are so inexpensive ($ 79!)
We were greeted by a friendly bar\24 hour cafeteria where we grabbed a glass of red wine and headed upstairs. The rooms are very large with a big sitting area complete with lounger couch and bar area with a separate bedroom area. The large HD TV was new and on a swivel to watch from everywhere. Beds were excellent and the throw blankets wrapped with a ribbon were a nice touch.
The morning breakfast was well appointed with a free Denver paper and ample seating area. All in all it was a great stay to start a great weekend!
