The burritos are good. The green chili is pretty good too but not the best I have had.

I agree with the other Unilocalers, they really do have the best breakfast burritos!

I’ve had their food many times, only eaten in once, but I really like this place. The drive thru is never very busy, the guy at the window is always VERY nice and they have vegetarian green chili, which is why I love this place! I get a smothered bean and rice burrito about once a week, and I’ve never had a bad one.

I’ve been there many times. All of the food I’ve tried has been very good. Their hours are a bit strange, so be sure to check before you go.

Best breakfast burrito = traditional breakfast burrito with carnitas Wait time can be pretty long but that just means your food is made fresh right? Also recommend carnitas tostada, cheese Enchilada plate, and steak Chile cheese fries.

There are different types of Mexican food, and this one is totally grunge style. There is nothing wrong with the style, I would probably classify it as more of the working class type Mexican food that I commonly ate when I was young. It’s not bad, but unfortunately I can’t say that it is good either. I probably wouldn’t go back as I find other restaurants better with this style. The price however can not be beat so I guess you get what you pay for.

With all the positive reviews I expected it to be busy at lunch time but it wasnt. It was just me and a couple of hipster dudes with iMacs and beards. I ordered the chicken enchilada plate which took about 10 minutes to prepare, but it was worth the wait. It was very well prepared chicken with very fresh lettuce and tomatoes also. Not sure if the sauce came from a can but it was quite tasty and just a little spicy, like a 2 out of 10 in terms of heat. At one point, a woman walked in and the owners insisted on buying her lunch because she was such a good patron. The place is kind of a hole in the wall, but it’s clean. It also has a drive thru which I imagine would be a very long wait if there were multiple cars in front of you. I’ll eat here again for sure.

Just as an update, I seriously come here every weekend. I love this place, they recognize us and are incredibly friendly, their food is amazing and every time I walk in I am so impressed by how many vegetarian options there are, ESPECIALLY for a Mexican restaurant which would typically be(and almost every other place is) very meat-centric. Every time that I am in this restaurant, however, it is typically almost completely empty which is so disheartening – I want this business to be around until I’m 100 years old! Please check this place out!

I’d give this place 0 stars if that was an option. Me and my boyfriend both got food poisoning on different occasions from dining here. The customer service is horrendous. If you come 15 minutes before they close the staff will ignore you. They don’t give you the right order half the time and when they do it comes out looking like something you’d feed your dog. I rarely give negative reviews, but when I do, you know it’s bad. I will never dine here again and may the force be with you if you do.

Great, fast casual Mexican. You can tell everything is homemade and the menu offers something for everyone! Don’t miss the chili rellenos smothered in green chile. The drive through is quick and the food is always hot!

First visit– breakfast burrito did not have enough green chili(or any). Not the best I ever had for sure– however it was filled with bacon, heavy on egg and with some of my green tobasco to give it the pep it needed, I did enjoy it.

Food and service not fit for dogs. I don’t think the people working there even rang up our order as they didn’t have a receipt to give us. Ordered steak chips with guacamole. Got soggy chips and beans. No guacamole or steak. The price was supposed to be $ 5.99 with steak and an extra $ 1 for guacamole. They rang us up for $ 7.50 for this garbage with half the ingredients missing? Would have gone back but they were closing when when we ordered. We will be in there on Monday to give them their crappy food back.

DAMN. we came here a few days in a row for breakfast while visiting Denver and I am hooked on these breakfast burritos. Looked all over around home and NOTHING comes up. Spent hours looking at mexican restaurant menus. NOTHING. Vegetarian Green Chile — not a thing I have ever seen in Connecticut. House made Soyrizo. this place rocks and breakfast was like $ 4 …

Breakfast burritos are so frickin good! Maybe among the top 3 in Denver which is saying a lot from me. Here’s a tip: go inside instead of drive thru. It’s faster and I think they give your order priority. The place is in a little disrepair. It may be worth it for them to fix the door and signs and stuff, but the food is amazing. Highly recommend!

— This little family owned restaurant has the best food you can imagine, and the prices are fantastic! Their green chili is vegetarian, and very very good :-) I absolutely love this place!

We have lived in Englewood going on 3 years and we are in love with the breakfast burritos, especially because they cater to our vegan needs. The salsa is so amazing and reminds me of my Mom and Grandma’s growing up in southwest Colorado. Jalapeño style it up for a more flavorful experience! The couple that runs the place are super nice and their kitchen always looks super clean from the ordering counter, which is a huge plus for me. I have had one experience that wasn’t up to par but other than that the many many other times we go we are beyond satisfied. SALSA!!!

The street tacos make the spotty customer service worth it for me. Its not fast but it is good The breakfast burritos are good too, not huge but very good.

If I could give zero stars I would. Worst customer service ever. I asked for a naked breakfast burrito. They REFUSED to do this. So I compromised and asked for a corn tortillas instead. The response was«that’s not how we make out burritos. We only use flour, and that’s the only way we will make it.» I will NEVER return here.

Best in Denver really Westword??? There was almost no green chili, I ordered with bacon and there was not one crumb of it in there. I did like the onions and peppers and the fact it was light on potatoes and heavy on egg. But it was pretty bland and far from the best in town. I could name 10 better places that are cheaper too. Maybe I need to try it out again otherwise I have lost total faith in Westword recommendation’s. I am not telling people not to eat here because I have had lunch here and it was good that’s why 3 stars not 2 this review is for the breakfast burrito’s only which were a total MEH…2

Awesome, budget friendly Mexican restaurant! I would have never known about this place if it wasn’t for Groupon but low and behold it’s located right off Broadway. The snob in me is going to come out and say this place looks completely sketchballs but the frugalista in me says, screw looks — go in and get a meal on the cheap! I had a $ 20 Groupon for this place and my friend and I went here before going downtown for a fast meal. Like I said, it’s a bit sketch looking but nothing to be afraid of and it kind of looks like it used to be a Wendy’s back in the old days. It was dark and a bit grimy inside but nothing that made me fear I would get food poisoning. I absolutely love that they have picture of the food on the menu since I’m a visual bird and after perusing their super cheap menu, found it would be difficult to hit the $ 20 mark between two of us. She told me she was going to order 2 tostadas and I shook my head and told her that she had to order more because really, it takes a village at Jalapenos to hit a $ 20 tab. We started out with chips and salsa and then both ordered the naked burrito platter complete with rice, beans and all the fixins’. They smother it in a sauce but we both got it on the side and thank god I did because I got the hot sauce and it was H-O-T!!! I took one bite and my eyes started watering so beware-their hot sauce is not for the faint of heart. We didn’t know if the food would be craptastic like Taco Bell or be authentic and fresh and thankfully it was the latter. For Mexican food, it was a pretty clean meals sans an abundance of fried items and cheese which was much welcomed. I ordered the carne asada with my naked burrito and it was perfectly seasoned and was a good portion(probably more than I should have eaten but oh well, when in Rome… errrr…Mexico City right?) After chips and salsa, two naked burrito platters and a soda we were just under the $ 20 mark, add that to great tasting food with a convenient drive through and a free breakfast burrito when you check in on Unilocal(Holla!), I will be back for sure!
