I am not from Dayton-and have always liked this very basic simple pizza shop. I know it is voted favorite in the area. The place is super simple and out dated– and you have to pay cash. Everything here has STOPPED in time-like seriously many moons ago. 9 locations stand strong in the surrounding areas. The salad is all iceberg lettuce-and their house dressing is blah, with no seasoning at all. Here is the concept-order upfront and they call your number. You have to go to the next counter to order your drinks. They do offer Mikes chips-a staple in Dayton. My hubby did order the half tuna boat. Crazy combo of bread topped with red sauce, green olives, cheese and tomatoes. He thought it was above average. My son got his own pizza, and We got the crazy-ham and sauerkraut pizza-which I was introduced to years ago and fell in love with. I have had this pizza in the past-and it is highly addictive! It doesn’t make since-yet, taste amazing!!! They are also known for their ground sausage. Their pizza is served in a 9 or 13 inch. It’s your standard Ohio crust and cut into small squares. We witnessed their sauce. It’s a simple, out of the can sauce. It works for a reason, and what isn’t broke don’t fix! Get the ham and sauerkraut pizza. It’s a must try, you won’t be disappointed. Just don’t expect service, décor, or clean tables. It’s a local favorite for a reason.

For Dayton, 5 stars. If you grew up with Marion’s Piazza you think it’s a tradition, a legacy, the best evah. If you didn’t, well, it’s just good pizza.

This was the worst waste of money. $ 60.00 dollars for 3 three toppings 13 inch pizzas. the pizzas are on thin greasy crust so salty i had to take blood pressure medicine, bland sauce if it had any was not worth the money. Customer service does not exist. I would never recommend this place to anyone. It stresses me just thinking about it I cannot convey into words what a terrible experience with this place. I feel robbed.

Pizza is very good with toppings edge to edge. Similar to the many pizza king type establishments with shredded toppings. You purchase food at a different register than drinks which is odd but there is a long row of self service beers and drinks similar to a convince store. So if you like a large selection you will like this. The less enjoyable aspects are: The décor is dated but tied to the style of the restaurant. Staff aren’t friendly or interested in guest needs. This is a large place that can feed large groups. Again the food is good and that is what you want in pizza. If you can live with the rest of the experience come enjoy the food.

Let’s start off with it being right next to K-Mart and this whole trashy area over here… that wasn’t a good first impression. Now when we walked in we order our pizzas and they got to us pretty fast which started to give me hope of likening this place. The pizza however was not good… even Dominos pizza is better then this place plus the price for a pizza here is way more expensive then Marion’s. My grandma got a pasta thing which actually was worth the price and looked very appetizing. But if your picking a place to «eat» yeah I wouldn’t pick Marions. Don’t expect much.

I’ve had Marion’s multiple times as it seems to be the group pizza place to hang out. The place gets dirty quickly with all the traffic. The food is okay but not impressive at all and the prices are expensive.

How the heck has this place gotten such high marks? Seriously, that was one of the worst pizzas I’ve ever had, anywhere. A premade cracker with canned pizza sauce and some cheese — what the? I could’ve gone to the freezer section of the grocery store and got the same for $ 2!

I wasn’t blown away with Marion’s. The dining area didn’t have any tables cleaned off, I had to wipe it off myself. The other two dining areas were closed off(and dirty). There was probably a party in those areas, but I didn’t seen anybody cleaning those areas until we were halfway thru our pizza. We got the sausage bc of the reviews and it was good. The pizza reminded me of a restaurant style Totino’s Pizza you get for a buck at the grocery store. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing as I actually quite like that pizza. The menu states it’s won the #1 pizza in some pizza magazibe, but I’m not quite sure I agree.

Marion’s pizza is always the best pizza. We never had any problems at any of the locations. The pizza is amazing. We always call ahead on the phone to place our order for dine in that way we don’t have to sit and wait the whole time if it is a busy night. Note: They don’t accept credit cards but they do have an atm machine inside the building. So make sure you bring cash to pay for your food or you may be stuck with paying the atm fees to withdraw cash.

So delicious. Always a favorite anytime family comes in from out of state! Always fresh and so good. Their sausage is unique and amazing. Better than any pizza place!

I loved this pizza. Thin crust and toppings across the whole pizza. Doesn’t get any better than this. Don’t know how I’ve lived without it. Would recommend this pizzeria to everyone.

Marion’s piazza has been an institution in the great miami valley. They serve good food from a short list of items, fast. You order at counter and pick up at counter — no table service. You order your drinks from a another counter. Simple. They have a decent selection of wine, beer.

We visit once a year over the holidays and we have to go to Marion’s for the pizza with sauerkraut as one of the toppings! Fabulous!

Marion’s pizza is my favorite pizza anywhere. I love thin crust pizza and their bite size pieces are perfect to dive into. Every bite is as good as the last and I would highly recommend their pizza to anyone. I honestly have never ate anything else at Marion’s so my review is only for the pizza and that is what I will stick to every time I am in Ohio. I know their sausage looks a little funny, but trust me it is delicious! Love, love, love this place!!!

Every Marion’s location is amazing. The thing crust, sausage crumbles and fresh vegetables are always top notch and cooked really well. I haven’t tried anything besides the supreme — it’s everyone’s favorite! It’s also the perfect place to bring parties, sports teams, etc; to!

OK, I wanted to be fair before a review. I have now had this pizza 3 times in the last 2 years. I personally find it very overrated. It’s not bad, I ate the pizza, but I am here to tell you Cassano’s is just as good. In fact I get A pepperoni pizza from Cassano’s a lot for lunch, and I can’t tell the difference. Again I am not saying it’s bad pizza, but to me, Ron’s, Marion’s, and Cassano’s are the same pizza. I really am amazed by those who say how great this pizza is, I would rather have a Larossa’s any day. I do prefer a thicker crust, the way pizza is supposed to be by the way.

Absolutely five stars! It’s not because I’m nostalgic or sentimental, it’s because this is delicious pizza! I think it’s the sausage crumbles, the perfect thin crust or maybe the square cut that makes this awesome. Consistently awesome, no changes in flavour and quality in decades. You can probably get a good pizza somewhere else cheaper(13 in. Is the largest size), a deluxe is $ 16.50, but for great pizza you need to stick to Marion’s. I do not think they deliver, and I’ve only eaten in once or twice. The dining area is spacious with ample table and chairs, nothing fancy though. I’ve come very close to having pizza almost as good, but hands down this is the best. I have not found sausage crumbles like this anywhere else. So for a walk down memory lane, I get the deluxe pizza and a bag of smoked bacon Mike Sells potato chips(they’re sold at the register). Bring cash though, or use their costly ATM, because no debit or credit cards are accepted.

Their sauerkraut pizza is the best. Don’t knock it – it was the first(okay, second, but it was after pepperoni) to go this year! I love converting people to its glory, made all the easier due to the pizzas being cut square so no one feels bad if they don’t like a piece. Christmas Eve = Marion’s pizza. Always. It’s been a family tradition as long as I can remember. The murals inside are gorgeous, great beer selection, huge lollipops, and a little arcade with a couple games just inside. You also get to witness the magic behind the scenes and see how floury the workers get!
