We just recently ordered a screen from these folks. The order process was great. The issues came when we received the screen. The screen had some minor damage from shipping, the workmanship was poor(corners didn’t line up), their online instructions were inaccurate, and the included door handle doesn’t work with the door and its pre-drilled holes. I emailed immediately with pictures explaining my issues and asked if they would consider a discount(I was able to get the screen to work as it was — but the assembly and quality were a big disappointment). They got back to me pretty quickly and said they’d send out a new door handle and that they’d review the other issues and get back to me. This was just after Thanksgiving and I’ve heard nothing back. I did get the door parts in the mail, but they sent me the exact same piece that I already had and it STILL doesn’t work with the door I ordered. I have had to drill out new holes and buy new screws just to get it fit and it’s still not great. Overall, I’m really disappointed with the screen and their customer service. Based on their reviews and their website, I had expected a lot more from this company. The screen door materials seem to be high quality and its servings its purpose for our sliding door area. It’s just a huge bummer, though, that quality of Metro’s work with the materials was so poor and they weren’t willing to address this with me.

I ordered a custom sliding screen door to replace the old and busted one from the condo I just bought. I had a hiccup but eventually got exactly what I wanted. First, I ordered per the measuring instructions on their youtube videos. I chose a higher-end door. I received it and there was a «bump-out» — a decorative extra part that would have been fine except our previous door was flat so that a larger part of it could slide up into an overhanging frame. I emailed with customer service, explained the situation and provided photos, and Metro Screen Works was incredibly helpful in resolving my problem. They sent me a new«flat profile» door. This door fits perfectly and really makes me happy to have a custom screen door for my brand new(to me) condo. Shipping takes a few weeks — which is understandable given that it’s freight shipping for an assembled door. The freight shippers were different on the first and second doors. The second one came in a full tractor-trailer, so had some problems negotiating our building. Great service, great product. Thanks!

They sell a faulty product. Screen pet door with plastic hinges. I’ll repeat, plastic hinges. I bought the product for $ 18. The hinges broke within a few days and I informed Amazon who then directed me to Metro Screenworks Inc. Instead of replacing the broken screen, they refunded $ 9(I paid $ 18!) They also stated they would not refund in the future if my dog breaks the screen again. The screen is made so pets can go in and out as they please! I was using the product as intended and as advertised! Horrible cutomer service. Cannot recommend in good faith. Stay away!

Metro Screenworks did a phenomenal job on my new screens. The video that shows you how to take your measurements really helped out. They shipped them packaged up nice and secure, and delivery was really fast. I would recommend them to a friend, no problem. Great business and great price. Thanks

I ordered screens for our entire house, via their website. Only 5 windows but big and some odd sizes. We received our screens super fast and very nicely packaged! I was a little worried since I didn’t have any existing screens to measure and just had to measure the window frames. But they all fit great! Partially thanks to the spring clips. They should really emphasize how good of a value the«Ultraview» screen is and looks good. I almost ordered another screen type without knowing. They look great on our new house! Thanks again!

Good price for custom screens. Had no problems placing order which was completed in quoted time frame and shipped in timely fashion too. Unfortunately FedEx had damaged the side of the crate, which tore a couple of screens. CUstomer service ordered replacements made and sent out right away. Would definitely order again. No complaints!

Metro Screenworks sells what appears to be a decent product(Pet Screen) at a competitive price. However, their business practices are abhorrent, and their customer service is nonexistent. During my online order process, I provided them with a single address; my shipping address in San Marcos, TX. I used Paypal to complete the transaction, and their computer system took my info from the Paypal website and shipped to my address in Port Arthur, TX. I caught the error while the package was in transit, and called Metro Screenworks immediately. They insisted that I had entered the Port Arthur address as my shipping address until I repeatedly explained exactly what had obviously happened. The salesman on the phone admitted that it was probably the case, and he «didn’t know much about that stuff.» He did call FedEx and called me back to let me know that re-routing and additional shipping to the address that I provided in the first place would be an extra $ 25. Then he asked how I’d like to pay for that. I had no time to argue. I was in the middle of a move and needed a screened porch for my cats. I gave him my credit card info. Later, I followed up with the IT department at Metro Screenworks via a long series of emails. Their IT department doesn’t know SH about IT, either. Again, I was told I must have manually entered the Port Arthur address. Nope, it’s in all CAPS, just like it is on Paypal. The address I entered on your site is not. Your site pulled the info and shipped to an address other than where I requested the package be sent. IT guy said he would open a case with Paypal and have them contact me, as he was sure he was right. Suffice it to say that he never contacted Paypal, at all. I, however, did. Not only did they verify my version of what happened based on the way Metro Screenworks has their account set up, Paypal stepped up and credited my account with $ 25 because they actually value me as a customer. Maybe there’s a lesson to be learned there, Metro Screenworks! If you think this type of customer service is isolated from this joke of a company, read the reviews that Unilocal does not recommend. It seems to be typical. They have a really bad attitude. If that matters to you, there are other places to buy screens. I know I’ll be buying mine elsewhere.
