Stopped by this place because it was right next door to where I was staying in Englewood. The pizza was absolutely delicious! The margherita is a must have! I was only in the area for 2 days but had to come back a second time! Hands down best pizza I’ve ever had!!! Yummy!!!

This is an interesting place, the menu is diverse the salads beautifully made and the ingredients are exquisite(yes exquisite). I thought the service was quick and efficient, the waiter seemed like he was in an awful hurry though which made the dining experience a little stressful, not huge, just a little. I do have to say that the waiter was quite good, the problem was that he didn’t really wait for me to respond to some of his actions, I still tipped him 20+ percent. So why only 4 stars, well, it’s simple, with the ingredients so wonderful and the layout being beautiful and my sausage(and some other ingredients) pizza so very tasty there was a single glitch, the cooking process. I was told that their oven is set somewhere between 900−1000°. Huh? I didn’t need to taste the pizza to know what would happen, the tops of the crust are carbonized black and the cheeze in the middle is barely melted. Anyone with an understanding of heat dynamics will tell you that at that temperature the top parts that stick up(crust) will be burned and there isn’t enough time to get the heat to the center of the pizza, hence the middle is considerably less done than the outside. When I mentioned that the inside of the pizza was barely warm the waiter stated quickly that he’d have another one made for me. He didn’t wait for me to respond and what I wanted to say was that all it needed was to be warmed up a bit and let the interior heat more. Very quickly they whipped up another one, and in 2+ minutes they gave me a brand new pizza, and guess what, this one was just as imbalanced; crust carbonized, outside cheese well done, inside cheese barely done. I realized with the waiter doing things this way that I would get nowhere complaining again, since the problem was with the cooking time and not his work, so I accepted the pizza as it was, ate it and left. Again, it had VERY tasty ingredients, even cooked so strangely it was a good pizza. So the problem is the cooking time/heat ratio. A good and humble chef will read this review and hopefully take some time to work on a more reasonable temperature to cooking time(I was told that the pizza’s spend 90 seconds in the oven). I sincerely hope that the managers and the cooks here will take that time. This pizza has the possibility of becoming one of the most amazing pizza’s of it’s type that I’ve ever tasted, the huge drawback to the final product is the cooking process. Hence the 4 stars.

Wow what an amazing pizza place! Being a recent college graduate you can call me somewhat of a pizza expert. If I were able to eat pizza this good back in college I would have felt like royalty versus the poor college student that could barely afford ramen. This place offers very unique flavors, which leave you wondering why you would ever eat your traditional pepperoni, cheese or sausage pizza again. We ordered over a dozen different pizza’s for training and being the fat kid that I am I tried every single one. Each one was a slice of heaven, in fact even after was about to explode because of how full I was, I continued to try and forcefully shove more in my mouth. The service was top of the line as well, for how large our order was prepared everything was prepared very quickly and staff was very helpful in assisting us with our selection. Overall this is one of the best pizza places I have been to! Additionally the gluten free option are awesome, it actually makes me question why I eat gluten at all.

What a nice gem we found tonight! We wanted to go somewhere to watch the game and stumbled upon this FANTASTIC restaurant ! We sat at the bar and were immediately greeted with menus! I was checking out the ambiance while I was checking out the menu. Let me say this. It’s reminds me a fusion/classy/modern. I ordered a margarita pizza with mushrooms and my friend ordered the pizza rolls. While we waited I was listening to the music! It was GREAT! Even the staff was singing along! The food came out Hot and OMG the ingredients were so fresh! I was amazed by how good the pizza was. I’ve been to Italy and it reminded me of one of my pies I got there! Final thought… If you want fresh food, GREAT customer service, great prices, and a full stomach… Check this place out! You will not regret it!

I have been hunting for ‘real’ pizza since I moved from the Uk to Denver in the summer. Everywhere has been a disappointment until we visited Raccas(used to be Marcos) today for lunch. The pizzas are coked fresh in authentic coal fired ovens. The pizza base was thin and full of flavour, that lovely Italian dry and crisp type instead of the fatty, doughy style often seen here. The meats etc are imported from Italy and taste incredible too. I highly recommend everyone try this place– it’s something special and my tastebuds are still smiling hours later! Yum!

We received the best service from Marilyn, first and foremost! As always the food was great. I tried the Creamy Cauliflower soup from the special menu and it was awesome. Great place for my boyfriend’s birthday dinner. The staff is always attentive and I’m never disappointed with them nor the food.

Great pizza, unique selections. Super busy during lunch so it look a while for our pizzas to arrive — but the wait was worth it. They have lunch specials too which are more reasonably priced — but the unique pizzas aren’t included and we wanted unique :) Pizzas do seem expensive but the portions are good for two people — I can imagine leftovers taste awesome too. My co-worker and I shared two pizzas, and she had enough leftovers for dinner. SARDEGNA — $ 18 Fresh mozzarella, sweet Italian sausage, pistachio pesto, EVOO — the pistachio pesto intrigued me. Pizza was pretty good. EMILIAROMAGNA — $ 16 Smoked bufala mozzarella, walnut and pinenut cream, roasted zucchini, pecorino romano, EVOO — I love pinenuts so the pinenut cream intrigrued me … but it was the roasted zucchini that really wow’d me. Loved the smoky flavor — I’d order this one again. Overall very good pizza here. We had a large group and everyone loved their pizza. Next time I’d like to try the Arrosto Salad($ 10) which has grilled veggies too — another co-worker said this was her favorite thing to get here, and the presentation was beautiful. FYI this is the former location of Marco’s Coal Fired Pizza.

Ate at the bar tonight. Excellent Italiano sandwich and meatball sliders. Great wine value in the Chianti. Service by Sara was prompt, friendly and excellent all around. Look forward to returning and trying the pizza.

Pretty tasty Margarita pizza… I took a client here for lunch today to try it out. We both had the lunch special, pizza and salad, and I’m happy I did! Nice place, good food and iced tea… Service is solid! At a price that won’t break the bank! I will return!

The food is great, no denying that. The service used to be fantastic, I initially wrote a review in June of 2014, not too long after moving to the area. There aren’t many choices and so I was pretty much a regular at Marco’s. When I walked in, I was greeted by name and engaged in small talk with the bartenders. Everyone was so friendly… I am not sure what happened but in the past few months, the service has been terrible. I thought maybe,(one bartender in particular) was having a bad day — I always give the benefit of the doubt… But upon returning multiple times, nothing had changed. I told a few friends and they thought maybe I was just being catty, I brought them in there to prove them wrong. One of my friends had asked the bartender what an IPA was — she looked at him like he was a complete idiot and then condescendingly said«India Pale Ale» — Same attitude towards another friend I brought in. It’s really too bad because Marco’s is so conveniently located near my home and has a nice ambiance. I can’t say I wont be back, but I definitely will not be back frequently; and I’m pretty sure when I do come back, I will sit in the dining area or anywhere I don’t have to deal with the bartender…(It wasn’t just one who had an attitude change and took a wrong turn to negative town).

Nice pizza place in a shopping center off Dry Creek and Inverness Dr West. Limited lunch menu offers two items for $ 9 each, but full menu is available. Service is attentive, but could be friendlier(not many smiles). I’ve had both lunch specials. The Caesar salad with Lemoncello chicken is fresh and tasty. Personal Margherita pizza and side salad is filling with plenty to take home. All washed down with Italian house wine makes for a pleasant lunch with friends, coworkers, or a solo treat.

We hosted a networking event here last night and it was fantastic. Chad is great to work with as were the entire staff. The food was amazing and all 35 people were really pleased with the event. Thanks for making it so easy!

Visited for the first time and got the stuffed bell peppers and the Pizza Campania(basil, bufala mozzarella, tomato sauce, and EVOO). Even though I got the pizza for takeout, and some accident on the highway prevented me from noshing until well after an hour, the pizza held up really well. The tomato sauce is to die for, and the crust is exceptional — that imported pizza oven is well worth it! Going to try dining in the next time!

The five stars go solely to the«Nutella nuggets». Little heavenly pieces of dough with a generous portion of Nutella and powdered sugar. This is a must have don’t forget to save room! Also had 2 different types of pizzas and both were very good but the memorable park of dinner goes to the Nutella nuggets!!!

I would normally give this place 4 due to how solid the pizza was, however, service plays a huge part and the conversation I had with the hostess/individual answering the phone for take out orders(9÷2÷2015, 8:00pm, order was for Jean) was stuff of «what not to say on the phone to a customer» legend. The pizza(Abruzzo) was delicious(5/5, perfect crust, delicious cheeses). We also ordered the antipasto plate(4⁄5 — good selection) and the Tiramisu(2⁄5 — much too sweet and texture was creamier than I am accustomed to). Our experience: It was our 1 year anniversary, and we wanted to celebrate it simply with some delicious Italian style pizza to go with our wine we purchased in Tuscany during our honeymoon. I called, a woman answered, and while I had an idea of what we wanted, I also wanted some recommendations. I initially said we would be interested in the Abruzzo, but wondered what else they had that would be good, her reply«we have a lot.» I said«ok, what about a specialty pizza with meat(because the abruzzo was a cheese pizza)»… «well we have the(names off their new york style pizzas)» and I replied«we were wanting one that is off the Italian style menu because I see you do Italian and new york style pizzas.» Her response: «they are pretty much the same, they have the same crust and are cooked the same way» — I am surprised when she didn’t follow that statement with«you dumbass» with the tone of condescension that I was starting to get. So I hastily then ordered the abruzzo, and asked if they also had some calamari. She said«No» followed by silence. She then, very impatiently said, «why don’t you look at the menu» and I said I don’t have internet access where I am at currently. So I asked her to list some appetizers, to which she replied«We have a lot»(again). so I(now in an annoyed tone as to how I was being treated) said«Well, name your top three.» She named off three menu items without descriptions. I then just ordered the antipasto(3rd item she mentioned) and then ordered a dessert. She said«it’ll be ready when you get here.» and that was that. It took us 30 minutes to get there, and the pizza was no longer warm when we got home. I have worked in the food industry for many years, and in my opinion, that is not how you handle phone conversations with a customer. For a more«upscale» pizza place, I was appalled at the shortness of the employee to a paying customer. Little did she know we were a new customer, and little did she know it was a special occasion. 2 stars, food is good, my one experience with the service was horrible, and if that is the culture of this place, it is not a place I would want to be a regular at, even though we live very close. I would have also emailed management, but there was not a link on their website to email management directly that I could find.

One of our favorites! The pizza crust is perfect and they have many«create-your-own» options(although a few more pre-made veggie options would be great). Their wines are great and the salads/bread are yummy too. The best item, however, is the dessert trio!!! It comes with really creamy(not cakey) tiramisu, vanilla panna cotta(the best part!), and a really yummy cannoli(not dry, and perfectly delicious).

Marcos’ quality is high, and what I consider more«fancy» pizza– extra virgin olive oil on everything, coal fired crust, and good toppings/ingredients. They also offer regional/local beer options and a good selection of wine. The service is good and generally the wait is not very long, take advantage of the happy hour deals! My suggestions: the Margherita pizza or the Lemoncello chicken wings!

This was my first visit to Marco’s…I am so glad I finally ate here! Tried the Rotolo, and although fearing it would be heavy and overly cheese from the description, it was VERY good. I posted a photo because it was just so pretty. none of us wanted to take the first piece since it was just so pretty! Then, I had the salad with the wood fired vegetables — read a few reviews so expected it to be good! I wanted a little more flavor to the roasted vegetables and dressing… this is the only reason I did not award FIVE stars. The, the Pistachio and Margherita pizzas arrived. Promptly forgot about the salad! Overall, the service was very good, and the pizzas and Rotolo were standouts. I’ll definitely be back as I think this is now my FAVORITEPIZZAJOINT. No pun intended as a Colorado resident. Great wine list with really great values. Cheers!

After 8 visits here, I can’t believe I have not upgraded Marco’s yet! It is across the way from our temporary living. The happy hour rocks our socks, but most importantly, everyone has made us feel so very welcome. Amanda and Sarah are our fave bartenders there. Everyone is super friendly, but once I have a few Rocktinis, I only remember the names of the people who are serving them to me! I finally tried the VPN pizza, which is Associazione Vera Pizza Napoletana. As a quick background, getting certified as VPN is kind of a big deal. Marco’s is the only place in Colorado, and there are maybe 50 or so in the US(I didn’t count the list, but it isn’t that many). The crust is delightful, and the toppings are fresh, authentic, and really tie the pizza together, along with the delightful tomatoey sauce. The restaurant is not very big, which I love, and the menu is succinct. The décor is nice and modern. We always sit in the bar, because why wouldn’t we with the amazing service we get there. There is always a sporting event on the 2TV’s. This is a super cool hangout with great people and amazing food. But don’t take my seat at the bar!
