The Edge Automotive

Living central to 4X4 USA there are small and large off-​road shops on every corner. New to the Denver area, it unfortunately it took me a year of weeding through several other shops before i finally landed on The Edge Automotive’s doorstep. It all starts when you have an issue that needs to be taken care of yesterday (window actuator stuck down during the winter). I spoke with several shops in the area and only one could get me in immediately (Red flag? maybe). I spoke with Chris, the owner of The Edge Automotive and I quickly realized if i had any further issues of any kind, his shop is where my jeep would call home for a day or two at a time.
Though Chris is throughly engrained in the Colorado and National (Peterson’s Off Road magazine Aug 2015 issue) off-​road community he makes it a priority through his philanthropic nature to rally friends and his off pavement network to come together in serious time of need and for scheduled charitable runs.
His shop and staff are knowledgable, friendly, and keep a tight shop. Chris and his guys are always available to spend ample time helping you decide what’s right for your vehicle and budget, be it for the ultimate 4×4 build or scheduled maintenance.
I price checked his part cost two separate times when i first became a customer of the Edge and now it’s just a waste of time to do so. You’re always getting the best parts at the right price which is pretty amazing when you compare your part (s) quote from a brick and morter shop vs a drop ship online parts rep.
Chris, Scott, and the crew have gone from a friend of my vehicles to friends of mine.
Disclaimer: His lead times are reasonable but I do recommend that you call and setup an appointment since this shop is always full of loyal costumers.
PS. He found the time to help me locate a trailer fabrication shop when my 30′ trailer was in need of rehab. He’s not afraid to send business to others he trust in the industry when he can’t facilitate your needs.

Great experience. Needed to have a liberty inspected before i purchased it. They cleared a spot on their calendar and i was able to get it done on the same day. While i was waiting, they patiently answered all of my newby questions about jeeps and 4×4’s. When they were done looking it over they gave me a thorough explication of what they found and how much i could expect to pay for them. All without any pressure to have the work done by them. Great people and great experience. If you need anything 4×4 reelated done to your vehicle you should definitely get it done here.

This is the first time I’ve had someone else work on my jeep besides me. I sat down with Chris and got a great deal from him on Gears, Sleeves and C-​Gussetts for my 2014 JKUR. They had it done on time and Scott who does all the gears walked me thru the break in. Great shop and I highly recommend giving them a shot before spending more elsewhere.

I took my 2010 JKU Sport in for a few modifications — Front and Rear ARB Lockers, Re-​gear to 5.13, Sleeve & Gusset and Synergy Ball joints. From the moment I walked into the shop to the very end, Chris and his staff were extremely helpful. Chris sat down with me and explained all of my options and the different prices associated. Once we decide what the best fit was he got me on the books. The work that Edge did was top notch and I am extremely happy with my purchase. Competitive pricing and great customer service! This shop is about 40 minutes from my house and I still refuse to my Jeep anywhere else to be worked on!

I love Chris and the guys at this shop. They did a 6.5 in lift on my 2014 Chevy and it looks amazing. They took their time to find the right lift and put it on. We have used this shop several times and will be back for sure. You kinda just feel like part of the family when you are there.

I was in search of a new shop to get my jeep fixed at after finding out the guy I trusted was leaving the state. I needed to get my Rubicon rear Dana 44 rebuilt.
I asked around a few jeep sites and groups the one place that kept coming up was Chris at The Edge Automotive as a trust worthy shop that does good work. I decided to give Chris a try even though it is a bit out of the way.
Upon calling Chris I knew this was the right place he took his time to talk with me and understand what problems I was having. Once they had the jeep and looked it over Chris called me and let me know what problems I was having and some other things they found he made sure to explain in detail the problem and took his time. They did all the work for me and resolved my problems I was having with the axle. Biggest thing about this shop is the fact I got a call back a couple of weeks later asking if everything was ok with the repairs done! WOW! I’ve never seen such awesome customer service I will be using Chris again for any repairs I need!

As a single female it’s hard to find honest mechanics /​shops who won’t give you the run around /​mark up prices /​sell you parts & services you don’t need! I was incredibly impressed with the entire experience with the Edge from my first phone call to the final pick up of my baby!
Chris is incredibly knowledgable, helpful, honest, nice and best of all he beat my regular jeep shop’s pricing — which totally blew me away. He sent me updates throughout the transformation of my jeep — stayed on time, on budget and there were no surprises at all when I paid the final bill.
I have definitely found my jeep shop and I would highly encourage any other Jeep Girls out there to call Chris for a quote, a question or your next project! Thank you Chris for being so incredibly awesome and I can’t wait to go wheeling with ya!

I have been back to edge a handful of times now, they are most definitely the only shop I use.
They have now re-​geared my jeep to 4:88’s, installed HD diff covers, mounted my new tires and wheels, sleeved and gussets on my front axle, installed my OBA system, replaced my factory ball joints with Synergy HD’s, helped me with some trim work on my rear bumper… and probably a few other things I can’t remember.
Everytime I go there it’s the same thing… a very good experience! I highly recommend for any 4×4 work!

Hey, Chris B and his crew are top notch!!! Took my new 2013 Black Diamond Avalanche in to have an aFe cold air intake put on at Chris’s recommendation and they installed it fast! Very happy with the performance of the filter and customer service. Chris called me back a day after the install to make sure I was happy. I would highly recommend Edge Automotive for any after market installs and the prices were pretty damned reasonable compared to other quotes I got.

Chris at The Edge Automotive is a very friendly, knowledgeable guy! He helped me out with my 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited when I needed some welding done on some new inner C gussets. I definitely wanted a professional welder doing my work, and Scott did an amazing job making my Jeep more solid than the factory could have ever done! I’ll be back, and can’t wait to go wheelin with Chris this summer!
