very dingy place. locals who go there are brash and bigots. the owner watches people and tells others whats going on. they use dollar store white bread for toast. they dont stay outta people business. waitress will ignore you if your not a regular. go to zacks deli a few feet away and dont get watched and told rumors about people. owner should mind his damn business and clean the floors and tables. Cash only business weird. Food is subpar, service and atmosphere plus the talk about people when they arent there. got to another place

Best Breakfast and Lunch place. It’s a homegrown secret. I go there every week. Food is priced right. Eggs, pancakes and«the French Toast» Best Ever! If you are lucky enough during the week to come in for their lunch specials definitely home cooking secrets. Family owned and operated you get a sense that you are part of the family.

Family owned place with an old school vibe. usually just one waitress so be patient. Has a «Dive» look and feel but its good home cooked food with a fair price. I go here strictly for breakfast and I’ve had omelettes, eggs over easy, pancakes. All good but the big winner is their bacon egg and cheese on a roll for me. Im not a fan of their homefries, I like your typical diner style with onion and peppers. These are different and have alot of paprika. If you want a good breakfast sandwich or pancakes definitely give this place a shot.

I am thankful for this place. I have been here about 8x now and had western omlettes and chicken cheese steak sandwiches. the food is awesome and they are priced right and give you plenty of food for the money. the owner is a real nice guy and a hard worker def recommend.

It’s a dive, and I mean that in a good way. The prices are reasonable and if you are looking for eggs and bacon it’s perfect. If it’s not crowded the food comes off the grill and to your table within seconds. But, there are no upscale options and food like pancakes and french toast are plain tasting. So it is what it is.

Stopped in on a whim one time leaving Englishtown. Always drove passed and saw the lot full. This last visit we went and were pleasantly surprised. Now granted it is your basic roadside luncheonette, nothing fancy. Menu was basic but awesome. Prices were amazing and very fair, loved the serving size of our breakfast platters. Would reccomiend to anyone in the area, totally going to try lunch there one day soon. Perfect little mom and pop type place.

If your coming through Englishtown, you will not, nor will you ever find a better breakfast then here. The menu is more of a suggestion then a rule, so you can get whatever you want and as much as you want. The price tag is close to nonexistent, and the food is the be all end all of breakfast. A ton of people are mainstays here, myself included, a lot of us since we were kids. Tony is easily the best grill master in town, and the proof is in the food: always cooked right, always fresh, and always delicious. Tony’s son, Nick, is more then capable of handling a breakfast rush, and he can cook just a well as Tony can. My advice: skip the chains, ditch whatever IHOP is cramming down peoples throats these days, and get the best food in NJ, and actually SEE what is being cooked, right in front of you. Also, the peach cobbler is fantastic, and lunch is always great. Tony is the only person I ever want to make me breakfast in a restaurant, and anyone who thinks this place is bad clearly doesn’t know the place. Tony is the Man!

Came here for breakfast, just to try something new. I will save you the trouble, if you’ve never been here before. Drive 200 yards and go to Zack’s deli. Food is much better I had two eggs over easy here, with home fries, sausage and toast. The eggs had a strange gray color on the underside and my potatoes were cold. Waitress never came to refill my coffee, even though she left a whole pint of half and half at the table. My son had pancakes and eggs. The pancakes were barely cooked and very dry. It wasn’t the worst breakfast and the only thing that boosts to a 2 star was that the sausage patty was good and they had Frank’s red hot instead of Tabasco.
