I’ve been coming to taco bandito since i was a little girl. I love their bean burritos. yummy. Their hot sauce is originally delicious. The staff is very pretty and friendly. Prices are a little high for me though but 1id definitely give it a shot if your new to town!

Yum! It’s unique and you can’t compare to regular Mexican food. Love the chili on top. Love the hot sauce. When I saw them heating up food in microwave, I was like OMG and the menu reminds me of a «snack shack» but I really do like it. It’s quirky and definitely something I will crave and treat myself every few months :-) one of the other reviewers said it best, it’s a «guilty pleasure»!

If you ever went away to college when you were a kid, you’ll love this food! It’s the perfect college tex-mex made with a microwave! This is not Mexican food! Do not compare it to such. If you want Mexican food keep driving south about 12 hours. The people in Unilocal that slam this place do not get it! Banditos doesn’t try to be anything more than they’re not! It is great food and the owner is there everyday giving out free smiles! If you like cheese and the best tasting Coke and Dr. Pepper in Enid, go here! If you’re thinking your not going to get it, you’re probably not! That just leaves more for those of us that do!

This is definitely the most Texan Mexican you’ll ever get. It’s a hole on the wall place, the food is mediocre, but everyone loves it and I’m really not sure why. It’s definitely nothing special. I think the best advice I can give is don’t get the chili. The food is better without it.

I read the other reviews of Bandito and u can tell they aren’t from E-Town(ya i said it!!). Taco Bandito has been a town favorite since 1968! It’s a tradition and i’m a sappy girl who hates watching tradition die. That being said, i also am a girl who also loves her chain restaurant food. I hate authentic Mexican or Italian or Thai or whatever else food! I’m a fan of flavor and cheese, lots and lots of cheese! So take that into consideration i guess. Sooo… Back to the Bandito… They have your regular tacos, burritos, nachos, all good choices. I always order the meat burrito covered w chili and cheese. It’s wonderful. Like a turbo version of Taco Bell’s enchirito. You can also order it in bean or chicken. My parents love their tacos, tostadas and sanchos which look good, but i don’t want to forgo my burrito to try anything else. The sour cream is .75 extra compared to the .16 we paid for my son’s tortilla which we found humorous. Taco Bandito will always be a family(with the exception of my husband who is not from Enid and hates Mexican food) favorite for us. We are familiar w it and we love it!

This is one of my favorite«fast food» Mexican restaurants to eat at. That being said it all depends on what you order. I personally only eat their tacos. I did try a chicken salad once and it looked like they put canned chicken on it that was way to salty. no its not authentic Mexican but neither is taco bell, mayo, or bueno so I don’t really think that’s a big deal. The staff also isn’t the most professional.

I always wondered where the locals were hiding when I went out for lunch on weekdays. It’s Taco Bandito. The whole town goes to this place and no one told me until I forced it out of them at spork-point. I have been to this place quite a few times now, but have been scared to review it because… well… I actually do like the food, but it’s not good, but like Chad said, it just feels good. Sometimes you just say, «You know what, I’m not going to go to the other Mexican joint and fret over how unauthentic their food is… I just want some thoroughly Americanized junk that doesn’t even try to pretend it’s Mexican. That’s Taco Bandito. The supreme taco salad is totally legit, it’s HUGE, it is drowning in sour cream, and it has a pound of cheddar cheese on top. The other menu items are alright, just make sure it’s drowning in chili or hot sauce. I’ve only eaten in once, it’s usually best to enjoy your taco salad away from the public. I am at an impasse, I don’t even know how to rate this place! On one hand, the food is sort of a guilty pleasure stuffing your face sort of thing, on the other hand, it’s totally un-authentic and bland. Maybe it’s just the runny ranch that you feel like you want to drink. Maybe it’s the crushed ice. Oh yes, according to my rules, plus one star for crushed ice. The rating on a scale of 1 – 10 in Mexican fast foodery: If Taco Bueno was a 1, Taco Bell was a 5, and Taco Cabana was a 10… Taco Bandito would be a solid 6. I think that’s fair, and if it’s not… well, stay the hell away from Taco Bandito so the parking lot won’t be so damn crowded.

I must say I do enjoy the food at Taco Bandito. I love their tacos but can’t eat them(I get very bad acid). After that sad discovery, I order their chicken salad, which is tasty and I believe healthy. My husband LOVES their seven-layer dip. While I do enjoy the food, the reason we don’t frequent as much as we would like is customer service. I have never had a good experience with the ladies behind the counter. They are quite rude and have such bad attitudes. Maybe it’s because I am female. When I send my husband to complete our order, they are a bit more pleasant. I was a waitress for 8 years and customer service I believe is key to bringing in and keeping the customers.

The food isn’t exceptional by any means. In fact, it’s not really even all that good. It’s cheap, there’s a lot of it, and it’s better than Taco National/Regional Chain. The saving grace is the salsa. The hot salsa has just a bit of kick, peppery, and a taste that’s perfect for turning mediocre into pretty decent. I say Taco Bandito is one of those guilty pleasures, like watching a generic action movie. I know it’s nothing special, but sometimes, it just feels good.

The parking lot is always full at Taco Bandito. This is usually a good sign but not in this case. I have come to believe that the good people of Enid must have warped pallets because when I ask folks they say it is a good place to eat. My experience was with a group of friends who came in to order food. The customer orders their food at the counter. That day the counter help was chomping her gum as she took our order. This should have been an indicator. Burritos, Tacos and enchiladas. normal Tex-Mex fare. Unfortunately, we had to pay .75 for each sour cream or guac we ordered. This would be no problem but each serving was the size of a teaspoon. The chili tasted canned and all our entrees were covered in it. The tortillas were not quite stale and everything tasted so bad that we got up and left most of our meal. So, despite it being a popular place, it really lacks any redeeming qualities.
