This has to be the longest I have had to wait at at What A Burger wow friendly but slow! BEST to skip the drive through and go inside!

Purely pathetic. What a dump with the filthy floors and all, the man running the register with his hands gathered up all the spilled French fries that were everywhere and threw them back in the warmer. 5:26 am today

This is the cleanest Whataberger with the nicest staff I have been in. I’ve been to the flagship 2 story Whataberger in Corpus Christi and this one beats it.

Fast and friendly service. Always been a fan of Whataburger’s grilled chicken sandwiches but got a sausage and egg on a bun instead this time. If the bun was croissant it would’ve been yummier but overall it was good quick breakfast.

Food is great. Service sucks. Manager with bad attitude, line is long, only 1 register open.

I’ll caveat that I *love* Whataburger. I think it’s bees knees when it comes to fast-food burgers. Yes, I’d prefer Lankford’s amazing Grimm Burger or Bernie’s Burger Bus any day of the week, but for me Whataburger is better than other popular fast food burger joints like In-N-Out or Five Guys. Unfortunately, this is evidently less true in Ennis, TX. Wife and I stopped here on our way back from Dallas(to Houston). Gentleman at the counter(young) is friendly enough and we both order. My wife asks for hers to be plain.(She likes fried eggs on burgers, but not condiments, go figure). Anyway, while we wait, I go to get straws, napkins, etc. The counter is filthy and full of trash(mostly opened/spilled creamers, sugar packets, etc.). It’s highly unlikely one person, or even family, could make that big of a mess so I have to assume this has accumulated throughout the morning. My wife goes into the bathroom. She’s waiting for a stall. A female employee walks in and tells the cleaning guy there’s nobody in the bathroom and that he can go in. My wife, shocked, tells the woman that both stalls are full, hence the reason she’s standing and waiting. Meanwhile, I’m watching the cooks handle our food with their bare hands. I know the cold patty goes straight onto the griddle and I don’t guess the FDA requires gloves, but c’mon… I’m looking right at you. Mix in some disposable gloves, please. When we finally get our order I check the bag. Everything is there and the sticker saying«plain» is clearly on my wife’s burger. We get into the car and the sandwich is slathered with mustard. All-in-all, after we manipulated the dry top of my bun in exchange for the mustard covered bottom of her bun, the food was relatively good — as is typical for Whataburger, but the whole experience was just really unpleasant and judging by the other reviews here, that’s not uncommon for this Whataburger. Next time, we’ll skip Whataburger and venture a block or two off of I-45 to give Firehouse Grill a try.

Call me a food snob but i totally wasn’t impressed by Whataburger!!! my cousins talked me into trying it before i left Texas(from Cali so maybe a food snob). I haven’t really had any«major» fast food chain in a long time and so i thought what the heck. My cuz told me it’s good… but man i totally regret going. My money would have been better spent at Five Guys or In n Out any day of the week!!! There’s seriously nothing special about this place. the burgers are just your typical fast food. i had the patty melt and the bread was soft… not toasted by any means but rather ran through a machine that browns the toast. I was hoping was toasted with butter on a grill so that it’d be crispy at the bite. if that would have been the case, i would have jumped on this. I added bacon to my melt and realized it was the already cooked, i’m going to warm up the bacon under a heat lamp. I’ve worked in fast food as a teen and this brought back bad memories. Next time, i want a fast food burger, i’ll stick to Five Guys and In n Out. But then again, i’d rather go to Bernie’s Burger Bus or Stanton Bites in Houston.

I’m in Texas for a wedding and after a very delayed flight decided to go to a southern staple: Whataburger. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich without mayo. The cashier kept asking me «do you want it dry?» and after a while I got nervous that it wouldn’t be good without sauce. I had honey mustard added to the sandwich but once I got to the hotel I discovered that it was had no sauce. First I was annoyed that my sandwich might be dry. It ended il being seasoned very well and didn’t even need another sauce! Aside from the great sandwich, I got fries too. Even though they were over salted, the spicy ketchup saved them. Definitely worth a try!

We(four people) ate in at 8:30 am on Saturday. The Taquitos are pretty nice. Service is pretty speedy & nice. Convenient location. For the amount of people the bathrooms were better than I expected(I am very picky). Worth a stop. Don’t believe the ultra negative reviews. It’s not a 5 star restaurant but it is a pretty nice place to and enjoy a meal.

My husband and I were in Ennis for business a few weeks ago and I subbed my hash browns for fries. I was charged a small fee for the fries and received nothing but a bag of ketchup. What poor service.

Good food but service is a bit slow but it’s worth it! I can’t complain being the food is fresh, made right, and the dining room is clean. The staff is nice and working hard to take care of both the drive thru and dine in customers.

For future reference when there’s some bitch making a 30 minute ordeal in the DRIVETHRU and a church bus blocking the only exit ask her to pull forward so you can help the other 3 people in line stuck behind her.
