Terrific Food and Service! We always enjoy eating here. The double crust specialty pizzas are my favorite.

I was a regular Jigsy’s customer when I lived in the area. But now that I’ve been away for nearly 10 years now, I can honestly say it’s not as good as it used to be. They used to have a buffet with Stromboli, pizza, and more that they took out a few years back. Ok, fine, I can order my Stromboli off of the menu. But as the years have gone on, they’ve continued to lose more and more of that classic pizza place feel that made me fall in love with them in the first place. When I was last there about a month ago, I went in my sister and dad hoping to share my love for Jigsy’s with them, but instead was rather embarrassed to have recommended it. The downstairs party room has been converted to what they call«The Pub» which really sounded enticing to us since we enjoy craft beer and pub food. However, after walking downstairs, we found it looked more like someone’s basement with excessive carpeting and a random poker table. We ended up eating upstairs in the main dining room, especially when we saw there was no pub menu. The food itself was still decent, however, then we saw they’re now trying to be a brewery as well. They have a list of made in house beers, but unfortunately they only had 2 of the beers they advertise, plus not on the menu that we had to go based on the name only. We ended up getting the wheat beer, which came out as a beer slush since they serve them in deep frozen mugs, too cold to taste the beer. Could have been bud light and I’d be none the wiser. When we tried to order a second beer of a different variety in a room temperature glass(so we could actually taste the beer without our taste buds getting numbed) we were told they didn’t have any that weren’t frozen. Boo. Service was sub par. Not sure if our waitress was new, but she knew nothing about the beers, nothing about the menu items and what they come with, and was very difficult to get any meaningful recommendations from. Took a while to get out check and cash out. Were this the Jigsy’s from 10 years ago, I’d be back in a heartbeat and have given an easy 4 star review. But it’s just not what it used to be. If I want pizza and brewery, there’s a place about 10 minutes away that does it well and I’m gonna go there. If I want Scranton/Binghamton style pizza, sure I will come here at take it to go. But I don’t plan to recommend to family or friends again for a pizza night out. This restaurant is trying to be too many things to too many people and is doing a mediocre job at nearly all of them. They need to pick one thing(the pizza and boli) and knock it out of the park. Service: 1 star Ambience: 1 star(sagging ceiling fans and wall to wall carpet make me sad) Food: 4 stars Beer: 1 star(sorry, frozen, couldn’t taste it) Average: 2 stars

Absolutely loove this family, so sweet, Robin the wife serves the meals while jigsy cooks in the back, cute décor inside, can be overlooked from enola road but it is worth it to stop in and try some pizza… this is not your traditional style pizza however, instead of pies you get«trays» of a Sicilian looking pizza, but the crust is light and airy with a crisp bottom very good! They have homemade pizza sauce okay, and a great blend of creamy cheeses, that is what they call«red pizza» the white pizza is what I go for though! Try the tomato garlic… a guilty pleasure but so worth the calories, they fold cheese freshly chopped tom and garlic into the crust, almost Stromboli style… but their signature«j» shaped boils are amazing I get the veggie boli a small can feed two people if you get one of their fresh and tasty salads or to really let loose their oven melted chese fries or crispy BBQ wings… so bad but so good. go for it, although you Should probably get their antipasti salad with the house made dressing… full of meats cheeses and veggies. Mmmm. I might go back today!

His beer is just ok and in comes in small frosted mug. The pizza was good. Downer for the night was hair ball I pulled out of my mouth from the salad. They didn’t charge me and gave us free dessert. I would of had salad, need all fiber I can get at my age.

What a great find. The kids and I tried both the white and red pizza. A very nice change of pace compared to traditional pizza. Will definitely go back when on the West Shore. Atmosphere is clean and nice as well. :)

It is one thing for a restaurant to run out of iced tea then short you on an order of pirogies… this place went above and beyond by doing this AND running out of pizza dough. HOWBADLYDOES A BUSINESSHAVETOBEMISMANAGEDFOR A PIZZASHOPTORUNOUTOFPIZZADOUGH!!! The inexcusable part of this whole ordeal was that the owners were present and didn’t have the courage to come to our table and offer any kind of apology. They hid in the kitchen and let the poor waitress die of embarrassment with each message of disappointment. They had a satellite location in Linglestown that failed miserably, and with this kind of performance this location is not long for this world. I will never patronize this place again.

Outstanding Stromboli and Antipasta Salad! When ever my company has lunch meetings Jigsy’s is always one of the top votes. The Stromboli is one of the best I have ever had.

they make old forge style pizza. it’s not quite like old forge, but if you like old forge, you will probably like their’s. if you don’t like theirs, you might still like old forge. three cuts are smaller than other place’s cuts. worth a stop if you like to try new types of pizza. they were friendly service but a bit slow. saw wings on another table that looked pretty good. would go back. hope to, really.

Ordered a sub. Came with a thin layer of pre-packaged lunchmeat and paper thin slices of cheese. Bread and veggies were fresh, but overall I was still hungry after finishing it. Probably should have tried the pizza, but I doubt i’ll be going out of my way to try this place again.

Read about Jigsy’s «Old Forge-style» pizza and had to try it. Popped in for lunch. First impression: An attractive, cozy place … with a fire! Wow! Nice touch. Place is downright homey. There was friendly banter between the staff and presumed regulars /locals. Service proved very friendly and efficient throughout. Food and eventual check both arrived lickety-split. Tried the deep-fried pickles with sriracha dipping sauce. Pretty good(though I don’t think it was Huy Fong sriracha; missing a bit of piquancy). Be careful, as the hot pickles sometimes slip out of their fried shells if you don’t bite clean-through. Since I’d never had Old Forge-style pizza, I went with three«cuts»(I think) of the plain. Not bad. Felt light-as-could-be in your hand; crust was tasty; sauce was OK; cheese portion was balanced. Probably wouldn’t go for plain again — just a little too plain for my tastes. Rumor has it their speciality pies(e.g. buffalo chicken) are where it’s at. I will be back, for sure.

I tried Jigsy’s for the first time a couple weeks ago and I have been back a couple of times since. The pizza is definitely different, its Old Forge style. It was my first time trying that kind, but the waitress was super helpful and made some great suggestions(really good service.) I tried a few cuts(squres) of the red and the double crust white. The red had a crispy, light and airy crust and was quite tasty. The double crust white was good, but it was almost like a stromboli. It had a lot of cheese and was extremely filling. The next time I went back I had a few red cuts with sausage and a white single crust with garlic and spinach. Both were excellent. The double crust white is good, but it’s a little too filling and non pizza like for me(when I’m craving pizza.) I can’t say enough about the freshness of their ingredients. You can’t go wrong with the spinach! Definitely a good place to try, for a different take on the usual pizza.

As someone who’s originally from the Old Forge area(just outside of Scranton), Jigsy’s does some darn good Old Forge pizza. Of course it’s not the same as the«real deal», but I’d be willing to bet it’s one of those recipes that can’t be exactly duplicated without that special«something in the water» in Old Forge. We’ve been to Jigsy’s bunches of times, and the pizza always hits the spot. Yummy, gooey, crispy … delicious. If you haven’t ever tried Old Forge-style pizza, give them a whirl. It’s as close as you’re going to get without a two-hour trip north.

I love Jigsy’s. Great«Old Forge» style pizza. The red with sausage is excellent. I love the double stuffed white pizza too. I have had it both plain and with mushrooms. It’s cute inside if you want to eat there too! Highly recommend it here!

Always a pleasure to eat at Jigsy’s. The pizza is amazing the cheese mixture makes this pizza the best hands down. Only downside is twice I was craving the Jigsy and they were closed. But hey everyone needs a day off!

If you’re craving Old Forge style(thick crust aka Sicilian style w/simple ingredients) this is as good as it gets in central PA. Even better than some of the originals from Northeast PA. My fav, white pizza w/shrimp and banana pepper. My bride to be loves the red w/sausage and green pepper. Best bet; call ahead for take out and eat at home.
