I have to confirm, as mentioned in other comments, the fresh salsa bar is definitely a selling point and«must try» feature of this restaurant. It is truly FRESH, very obviously homemade and DELICIOUS! We had the chicken taco salad and again the ingredients were all very fresh and very tasty! We also had the Macho Nacho; unfortunately this is why we are giving it four stars instead of five. The cheese was fake, liquid nacho cheese, which deviated from the freshness of all the other ingredients. Perhaps they will use fresh cheese upon request?! We will have to ask next time.

El Agave came highly recommended by a lovely man we met in the local Walmart. We bonded over our love of Mexican food and Donald trump(ironic isn’t it) but he gave this establishment rave reviews. My first impressions were not great as the menus were giant and too big to comfortably browse the food options. They would not even fit on the table. However, our waiter was an adorable man who continually refilled our chips on command. Unfortunately, the salsa that accompanied the chips tasted like expired ketchup that had been spat in. Nevertheless, we continued on and anxiously awaited our main course. While we waited we perused the faux Mexican décor and the dirty crocheted coasters randomly placed on the fugly table and were less than impressed. The décor consists of fake ceramic tiled indoor roofs, abstract Mexican paintings, chandeliers with two burned out bulbs and a Seahawks helmet making me feel just like I was in Mexico! I was trying to call my wife(who also happens to be my cousin) and went to plug in my phone and BOY, that plug felt was like my wife’s vagina after having our seventh child, my plug slid in and out and my phone would just not charge. Tragic. The food took longer to come than my wife.

Excellent huaraches, burritos, and pollo asada, and always tastes fresh. There are a lot of Mexican Restaurants in the area, but this is the best. Also, the women who work here are always gracious and friendly. A gem in Ephrata.

This place is great! I order the Beef Huarache almost every time. The salsa bar is amazing! My favorites are the cabbage salsa and the guacamole salsa. I have also tried the tacos(pork, chicken, and beef), ceviche tostada, and the enchiladas… all are really good. They season their meat perfectly. The owner is really nice, the prices are low and the service is fast. Give this place a shot, you will not be disappointed!

As authentic Mexican as we’ve had in some time! Full flavor and happiness. You have to buy the chips — but they were fresh. Thankful for all the Unilocalers that contributed

The wonderful thing about Eastern Washington is that México has come to visit. And you won’t be disappointed with this place. I had their soft tacos and extra guacamole, which was in the top 5% for me. They even made me an extra batch of chips, which came in handy when sampling their salsa bar.

I read great reviews which enticed my visit. Upon my arrival I became skeptical due to the size and odd strip center location, but thought I would continue on. The staff were all very nice and accommodated my requests. The food came out and to my surprise it was delicious. There was a salsa bar to which I helped myself to. I ordered chicken tacos, and it was just the tortilla and chicken. The only thing I would have added would have been additional topping options or a similar topping bar and maybe some additional beverages, but I would definitely come back my next trip through town.

I use to love stopping here and getting Carne asada tacos but I don’t think I’m going to stop again. Unfortunately the Carne asada was more like shredded beef and I ended up sick :(I ordered 5 tacos and only ate one and threw the rest away :(very unfortunate.

So delicious! This hole in a wall is serves up some delish food. I look forward stopping in on my annual trip to WA. I always get the enchiladas. And today I had some of the guacamole. The guacamole is worth a trip cross country hands down.

I just moved to the area and was most excited for delicious authentic Mexican food. This place exceeded all my expectations! The minute you walk in you can tell this place is authentic. The prices for the dishes and the portion sizes are great. A picture menu helps you visualize what the place has to offer. The food was exceptional. The guacamole is unlike anything I was used to – fresh, flavorful, and yummy! There is a fresh salsa bar with all different types of salsas and sauces. All in all, if you are looking for a hole-in-the-wall AUTHENTIC, phenomenal Mexican meal, this is the place to go.

We didn’t eat for the whole day and found this gem. The food was DA bomb. Chalupa was alright. Really enjoyed the fajita burrito, it was like home cooking. Delicious assortment of salsas. Tsty and… tasty and not starving anymore ;)

I got some tacos here, and I got sick for a week! I blew chunks all over the place! Usually this is one of my favorite places but something was off this time. I finished eating and I was driving home, when I couldn’t hold it anymore and just threw up all over my car. Worst Experiance ever!

Great little taqueria in Ephrata. Nothing fancy; prices are moderate, and the food is pretty darned delicious. The Burrito Gordo is, as described, enormous, big enough to share unless you skipped breakfast. Would love to have had little cups at the salsa bar, but I can overlook the oversight. Simple and yummy!

Mulitas were new and fantastic. Our new lunch spot when we come through town. Pico was perfect but the cabbage salsa is my favorite.

The restaurant is clean and waiters and waitresses are friendly and helpful. They serve not only chips and salsa, but a bean dip and cabbage dip which is quite tastey, I ordered the combination plate with a taco and chili relleno which is my standard when trying a new Mexican restaurant. The taco was loaded with meat and veggies. The relleno was in fact a stuffed pepper and not an omelet which is a plus. The only reason I am not give this a 5 star, is that there must have been a pound of cheese melted over the beans and relleno. In fact, I had to dig to find the pepper. I like cheese but this was too much. Yes, I would go back and ask them to hold back on the cheese.

Tacos were great Because they just provide therapy on tacos and you get to add your own topics from at least 10 toppings and salsas. Also had the ceviche tostada which was sweet As well as spicy. Mostly shrimp There was some Krab in it though. Kids loved it too
