The guy did an ok job on my son’s hair. He was really rude to him for no reason. He also didn’t care how I asked to have his hair cut, he did what he wanted. Attitude for no reason. Won’t be back!

It’s the perfect combination between old school and new school. Awesome ambiance, friendly barbers/stylists, and convenient location. Nothing beats a straight edge shave… They have a good loyalty program where you can earn free cuts and unlike most old school barbers that are still cash only, these guys have square and take credit/debit cards.

I have had my haircut by Erin twice now, and am very impressed with her talents. As a Veteran, I have a tough criteria when it comes to a good fade and she has hit two grand slams! I will definitely be stopping into Checker’s on a regular basis and highly recommend Erin if you want a high quality haircut.

Love this place. Very friendly and they know what they’re doing. After getting a few bad haircuts from some of the chain’s in town I figured I would give this place a shot. That was a few years ago and I won’t go anywhere else.

Gave 2 stars so the review would be seen. Don’t go to this shop. It’s full of woman who do not know how to cut men’s hair uneven cut to much $$ and was solicited to go outside of the shop.

This place is just like an old time barber shop, they offer a good cut and a straight edge on the finish. Pam and Stacy have always provided a great cut for the money. I did go in for a shave a while ago, I was not impressed. Save your money and take the cut. I know there was a shave clinic or something to that effect going on not that long ago, so I would like to try a shave with Pam or Stacy this time around and see if its better. If you want a great shave/cut, try Firicano in the north end.
