WOW! Fantastic Turkey club, highly recommended. The staff was friendly and the pricing was reasonable. Not sure what the complaints are all about with regards to cleanliness, nothing seemed out of the ordinary to me. Now, one thing that was a little bit strange is that I felt like I was being watched throughout the duration of my lunch. Not by the employees, but by the other customers. Everywhere I looked their eyes were darting in my direction. I found it to be a bit odd but I couldn’t help but smile due to all the attention. It also felt like the cashier was hiding some from me. Something big. I’ll be back!

I tried this place based on the recommendation of other’s while visiting the area. I have given it a couple chances and can say while their roast beef sandwiches are excellent, the other sandwiches I tried were average.

Ok here we go. Listen people, vist this place, give it a try the effort and heart the owners put in is seacond to none. Just starting up is tough. The location they had in Exeter pulled me away from the Green Bean and that says alot. Wish they had a suggestion box. They were not busy at all the three times I went into Epping. No small talk between customers and ownership like there used to be in Exeter. Nothing thrills a customer more than knowing its the owners behind the counter and making food. If your busy of course not but when dead its a must. Quality of workmanship, sandwich ingredient combinations and freshness still seacond to none. But hate to say it but did they change vendors? Quality of cold cuts seems to have gone from in house sliced Boarshead to presliced Market Basket brand. Still, not bad, just not what it used to seem to be. I know everyone has to watch food costs but… make a name for yourself first. Clean clean clean, by no means is this place dirty like a restaurant in Chinatown but hand prints that have been on stainless hood for weeks and how dusty the table legs are among other little things is just errrrrr… no attention to detail ish and I’m sure you owners are straigh out and watching every penny but bring a cleaning crew in once a week or put an ad in the UNH paper and bring some collage kids in two mornings from 6 to 10 am to get on thier hands and knees and scrub and dust. Not open on Sunday, they’re gonna lose a ton of money in the spring when there is not a parking spot to be had in Lowes or Walmart. When your trying to build a name nothing worse than people going«wonder if they’re open today ?» Even with Internet people are lazy and will not check and will goto where they just know is open. I know new business’s are alot of work and I’m sure they are dead dog tired but push thru it for the first two years till you can afford to hire more staff. By then if you open on Sundays I garuntee it will be one of your biggest days. During the months of November, December, April, May and June. Specials one special sandwich and a couple soups mixed up every so often, not good. Run three special sandwiches, two soups and one salad for entire week to keep customers guessing and dont post on your website. Instead write come in this week to see what specials we have created. Mix up the boaring. Good luck and people reading this give it a try its not bad and its sure to improve just right now its meah. just ok But I see the potential and effort.

I just got the Gyro daily special… ummm yummm!!! Homemade pita, homemade meat and homemade tzatziki sauce, how could you go wrong. Showed up hungry and left not only full but very satisfied. Looking forward to coming back and trying some of the other amazing sandwiches, wraps, salads and paninis on the menu.

It was very nice to see a sandwich shop that is personally attended to by the family who owns it, and a shop that puts care and quality into every sandwich. We had an outstanding experience, with our Italian sub and buffalo chicken wrap being excellently prepared. Simple and«fast» food, well prepared. Looking forward to going back here again soon.

First time visitor to this sandwich shop. The staff was friendly and the place was clean. I ordered the turkey jalapeño panini, the sandwich had a great aroma upon opening it. You can really taste the bacon and jalapeño’s without it being overly spicy. An all around great sandwich! The only thing I could say that needs to be changed is the décor and ambience, it definitely leaves something to be desired.

Great food and honest people. I left my purse there and they ran it over to me. Thanks!

First off to the tool that gave the one star review, sounds like you dine on Newbury St. It’s soup and sandwiches in Epping so really what are you expecting? I had a ½ sandwich and soup and loved both. Turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce on a ciabatta roll was great. The smoked Gouda and roasted cauliflower soup was over the top good. Owners were very friendly hard working people so give it a try, I’ll return for sure.

I typically don’t write reviews good or bad but felt I had to with this place. The décor should be a giveaway of how terrible the food is. The place looks like it’s ready to be shut down. I was so confused… The menu looked like it was printed on a poster. Overall it Just had a bad look. I asked if they had a bag of chips I could buy and the cashier said you get them with the sandwich. So you don’t have a choice, either eat the crappy potato chips or screw. Last the sandwich I ordered was a grilled chicken special with Greek dressing, olives and feta. The chicken was sparse and extremely dry! I would not recommend this place to anyone.

On vacation and tried the Hammersmith today. Good cranberry walnut(veggie option) wrap but sorry, in my opinion not worth the price.

I always get the California club, and it is delicious every time! It is packed full of meat and other ingredients which makes it very unique. Wish it was closer as I would go way more often, but never miss out when I am in the Epping area!

Amazing food handmade by some of the hardest working people I have ever met! Hammersmith has been a favorite of our family since we moved here 2 years ago, and their new location has only made it even more convenient to get to on a regular basis. The service is super friendly and the the sandwiches and salads are always spot on. Their cranberry walnut chicken salad is my absolute favorite. My kids who are extremely picky eaters are always asking to go there for lunch. I have used them for catering a number of times and the quality of their food is unsurpassed, I have literally never gone anywhere else for that. Don’t let a few bad apples ruin the whole bunch of great reviews, this place is totally worth it!

This place never lets me down. Best sandwiches hands down in the area. This is a special place, not a generic«sub shop». Here you will be greeted and waited on by the owners themselves. I love everything here and the service and quality are bar none. Each item truly is hand crafted. The owners pride themselves on the care they take to create each order. It really shows and makes dining here even more enjoyable. I loved Hammersmith at their old location in downtown Exeter. I am happy to report their move to Epping not only allows their business to flourish even more, but there is much improved for the customer as well. Plenty of parking, a much larger dining area, and even two futons to wait on while your food is being prepared. The new location provides the owners with much more space and cold storage options so that they are able to keep expanding the menu and catering to more guests. Now before you head in and think you can get a sub on a roll like a house or pizza, hold up. This is a special place. Uniquely and exquisitely in its own class. My favorite is «The Exeter” — roast beef, cheddar, blue cheese crumbles, creamy(homemade) horseradish sauce, and tomatoes. The whole sandwich is then toasted, on the most delicious, fluffy ciabatta roll. It’s a tastebud nirvana. Another favorite, The Plymouth– sliced turkey, cranberry sauce, homemade stuffing, and herbed mayo. Again on that amazing roll! There are also paninis, cold sandwiches and wraps as well as salads. As all of their menu items, you will recognize the basic ingredients of the dish but then get their unique spin on classic flavors. Perfection. When you are ready to pass by the monotonous options typically found in restaurants, stop by this truly special place.

This place recently moved from a tiny shop in Exeter. It is owned by a very nice young couple who own and operate on a daily basis. This is not a sub shop. This is a artisan sandwich company making grilled pananis, scrumptious hot sandwiches on ciabatta rolls, salads, soups and wraps. Their daily specials are not to be missed(posted on facebook) and are items such as burritos that are not on their regular menu. Each sandwich, panini, burrito, etc comes with kettle chips. The décor is simple with light music playing and offers xfinity internet. Lunch time is very busy and you might have to wait just a bit for your food. They are open until 7pm Wed-Fri for dinner. I have been here numerous times and have never had a bad experience. Update: Closed for dinner on Wednesdays. Only open for dinner on Thursdays and Fridays.

Newly opened sandwich shop in a strip mall in Epping, NH. The menu, furnishings, and overall appearance is still to be a work in progress. It’s not a traditional sandwich shop, and as mentioned the menu is sparse. I ordered a roast beef with cheese and horseradish sauce. Served with chips on a warmed ciabatta roll, the sandwich was quite good. Customer service was pleasant. An odd finding was a posted sign indicating that customers should not order special items or customized sandwiches during busy times. This was not pleasant and rather off putting. The Hammersmith Sandwich co. in Exeter is closed now. Let’s see if this location will be successful. With a little more work, and less prohibitions, it should.

Just had the cowboy… Great roast beef with mushrooms, caramelized onions and barbecue sauce… Fantastic! The bread is so important and they use a very tasty ciabatta. I’m glad this location in Epping has a high quality sandwich shop now and not just another chain with ordinary food. A++++
