Service was par at best. Food was over cooked. Not a very good experience. Wish we would have went somewhere different.

Great food. Service was good — server was nice, server and other servers kept checking on my party regarding drinks and meal, servers were able to answer all questions. Downfall — Limited menu but website has old menu listed and does not say anything about a limited menu. My party was not told about limited menu until we inquired about menu. When we inquired about menu: We were told by 1st server that menu in front of us was the complete menu and she walked away. Then we asked another server about menu and she explained that it was a limited menu. We ordered our dinner and then a party was sat near us. This party was immediately told about limited menu and that there were appetizers(not listed on menu). If we had known menu was limited, we prob would have chosen a different place to eat. If we had known about appetizers, we would have ordered differently. Another downfall: The sun was in our eyes so staff lowered window shades. When party was seated near us, window shade was opened back up. The sun was not as bright but the sun went back to shining in our faces. Could not connect to wifi. The dinner was planned with friends to plan a vacation. We wanted to be able to look at places and discuss. We specifically picked a place that had wifi. I feel like all these little mistakes should not happen when a party pays at least $ 45/person.

I enjoyed both brunch and dinner here, especially out on the patio when it’s nice out. Appetizers– fried calamari comes out warm with a delicious aioli sauce($ 11), spinach and artichoke dip that I have to get every time I come($ 11), shrimp cocktail is great as well($ 13). The cucumber wrapped salad is my go to on the menu. I tried the fish filet special of the day and found it just okay.

Great food, great service, and a great view no matter what time of year! Each time I come here I try something new on the menu and I’ve never been disappointed.

Very disappointing lunch experience. Service was very slow(restaurant was not busy) and the food was mediocre for the price. The highlight was the presentation — pretty edible flowers on the plated entrees and a clever mini deep fryer basket for the fries. The crab cake lunch entrée is $ 17, and includes ONE crab cake, a tablespoon of mashed butternut squash, and a handful of microgreens. That’s it. The crab cake itself was heavy on the crabmeat and seared nicely, but the center was mushy and the sauces were overpowered by balsamic flavor only. The BayBQ burger was just ok, juicy but a little fatty and the fries were hard and dry. I do not mind paying a higher price for a great food experience but we felt ripped off by both the portions and the quality of the food here.

The scallop special was amazing! We also got the rock shrimp and corn risotto and the salmon, both of which were excellent. The risotto was perfectly flavored and cooked, which is hard to do. The fried calamari that we had as an appetizer wasn’t too greasy and the batter was light and crunchy. I love seafood and I would definitely return here. The service was attentive and the atmosphere was pleasant, a very impressive hotel restaurant. The orange infused crème brûlée that we had was sweet and crunchy and the perfect way to end a meal.

The two stars are because we have eaten breakfast at the Bayfront numerous times in the past and it was excellent! However, we stopped in for an appetizer last week(chicken empanadas) which were terrible! Our waitress never came back to check on us… we had to flag another server down to get our check and take our money! The following night we stopped to have a glass of wine at the bar… I ordered a sangria. We aren’t sure what was in it, but it tasted like club soda with a splash of grapefruit juice. No fresh fruit(which was mentioned in the description). Total waste of $ 12!!! We LOVE the hotel, but unfortunately, we will steer clear of the restaurant from now on!

From start to finish this was a disappointing dining experience. The food was mediocre, the service was poor, and the presentation was messy. I also thought that the extra charge in addition to the meals for the chef was a little ridiculous. The only truly nice thing I found was the scenery.

Shock of shocks, a great meal in a hotel restaurant, and at a good price too. The Bayfront was a second choice that delivered marvelously. We hadn’t expected to dine so well, on the Sunday following Thanksgiving, but the Bayfront rescued us from the turkey«doldrums.» My wife and I had the duck croissant appetizer which was delicious, followed by a main course, the Fossil Farms Half Pheasant, also perfect. Since the food was filling she decided to have cappuccino and I an espresso. Yes we had two different birds, but they’re not«Turkey.»

We don’t give fives often. This may be a 4.8 but too good to be a four. Cauliflower soup was good but a little texture would have made it better. The crab cakes were very good. Words are not needed for the food. Great food covers it. Service was good too. Professional yet friendly. A definite recommendation.

My dad and I went here on Easter Sunday because we wanted lunch and not brunch like everywhere else was serving. The Perch sandwich is amazing and i have been back at least 5 times specifically for that. They also have decent caesar salads to compliment.

Although the food was very delightful and flavorful, my party and I were there for two hours… for lunch! This was a ridiculous wait, as the restaurant did not seem to be understaffed. I was shocked that things took so long, and the only redeeming quality(as the waitress was snooty) was the food.

When I think hotel restaurant, I think boring, predictable, and overpriced food. That’s probably why after being here for quite some time, I still hadn’t made it to eat at the Bayfront Grille. We finally went last night and I was more than impressed. I suppose that there is a reason Sheraton gave this their #1 best restaurant in all of their U.S. hotels. My girlfriend got the ½ blackened chicken. The chicken was juicy and cooked perfectly over a creole sauce that had crawfish and spicy andouille sausage to dip the chicken in. The mashed potatoes were to die for and the asparagus it came with was fresh. It was at the higher price range at $ 22, but it was a damn large plate of food. Also, A+ on the presentation, as it was a beautiful, artful plate. I generally shy away from predictable pasta plates at restaurants, but I was in the mood, so I went with the Seafood Portofino Linguini. The clams, mussels, shrimp, and scallops were all large and fresh. The linguine itself was good, but the butter sauce was mouth-wateringly delicious. Again, it was on the pricier side at $ 23, but the plate was large and I had plenty of left-overs. I’m pleased to say that this restaurant is the real deal. The menu is not your boring, predictible restaurant fare, the presentation is great, and the food is fresh and unique.

What a nice, romantic place. Quite a surprise for Erie. Sitting on the patio overlooking the water on a beautiful summer evening starting with a Jamaican sunset(a delicious fruity drink) my husband and I had a wonderful dinner. The calamari was fresh, tender and barely breaded. Delicious!!! The house salad with varietal greens and a pomegranate & champagne dressing was delightful. My steak with mushroom demi-glacé was a tidge under medium rare but was so flavorful it didn’t matter. The smoked gouda mashed potatoes were sooo yummy my husband ordered a large bowl and now I have to figure out how to make them at home. Next time you are in Erie stop by. the view is great and the food very flavorful.

Got the lox bagel as its in our hotel and it was ok. Nothing special just close with hotel prices. Ate another day for the breakfast and it took them 30 mins to get our drinks and 30 mins for my check. Totally unacceptable. It wasnt even that busy.

came here for my last stop in erie. my nephew is a chef here. wasn’t busy when we got there, and we were able to get a table next to the window — great view of the bay. there is outside seating for when the weather is nice. the lunch menu is small, but they still have some very good items. we started with the calamari which was delicious. not heavily breaded-just lightly coated and flash fried. came with a lemon sauce that complimented the calamari very well. i also had the cob salad. nothing spectacular considering it was a salad, but everything was fresh. chicken and bacon were perfectly cooked, and the avocado ranch dressing was really good. comes with rolls if you want them. two of our party ordered sandwiches and really liked them. sandwiches come with choice of fries, fruit, or salad; nice to have the healthier options. service was excellent. food was great. if you stay in the sheraton or are in the area, this is a great place to check out.
