I love this restaurant. The space is warm and pleasant with jazz classics playing. The food is consistently wonderful. The salads are fresh and the veggies are perfectly prepared. Best of all for me is the tilapia in lemon caper sauce– it is out of this world and brings me back every chance I get. My companions love the crab cakes and loaded mashed potatoes. The staff is great, the chef is a gem. Come eat here!

Visited this restaurant for the first time last week. The service was very good and so was the food. I really liked the stacked chicken and the side of gnocchi. The sirloin and the calamari were good, but not great. The side salads were also fresh and delicious. One drawback is the drinks. It is beer and wine only, and the beer selection is pretty limited compared to most other restaurants. We plan on returning soon.

I miss the old menu, terribly. When Bistro first opened, until about two years ago, the menu was nearly double the current size, and had many more traditional Americanized-Greek dishes, as well as sandwiches and small plate choices. Now, the menu only has the(pricey) entrees and is about half its size. The food is still decent, but the menu is so lacking.

Went here once for lunch. It was empty and had a cold uncomfortable décor. Small lackluster menu. Tried an overpriced salad that was not very good. Might try again for breakfast or dinner.

Erie is my hometown, and I come back for a visit once or twice a year. Bistro 26 is always a MUST on my visits home… so I always make sure to leave time to go by for lunch or dinner. The food is always fresh and we’ve NEVER had a bad experience! I have been there to dine with small and large groups… with and without kids… and have always had an exceptional experience. The staff are well-trained and go the extra mile to make sure your dining experience is a good one. Having worked in restaurants myself, I know the difference between good and great service… and Bistro 26 is definitely the kind of place that prides itself on GREAT service. Every time I’m there I try a new item or entrée, and love the fact that they keep the menu fresh and introduce new features all the time. If you want something on the lighter side… you can’t go wrong with a soup and salad… which I’ve also done on occasion. Nothing canned or ready-made here… everything is fresh, made-from-scratch fare. The sandwiches are also pretty amazing… I especially love the Chicken Feta Spinach Panini or the Mozzarella Tomato Pesto Panini. My most recent visit was in November with a girl’s group(celebrating a birthday) and the food and service was exceptional — another A+ evening. I had a vegetable pasta dish that was so yummy and really hit the spot, and filled me up — so it was hard to leave room for dessert! George and Angie(the owners) really take the time to listen to their customers and welcome your feedback. Whenever I’m in town and pay them a visit, one or both of them will come out to say hi and see how I enjoyed my meal. Since I don’t live in Erie any more I still keep up with them and follow their page on Facebook… which I would suggest you do if you’d like to see the latest and greatest items cooking up in the kitchen.

Honestly I have ordered the same thing every time I’ve been here! I usually call Bistro for a lunch order to go every few months. I get the tomato and mozzarella panini. It has a delicious pesto on it and the perfect amount of balsamic. The lunch side salad is always fresh, delicious and huge. It also comes with a piece of grilled garlic bread. They have my order ready on time and are friendly.

I tried Bistro 26 last weekend with a friend. I found the menu slightly boring, with items that you could find anywhere in Erie. That being said, it is nice to have a new restaurant on the west side of town. I decided to go with the dinner special that was offered that night, a linguini and scallops dish. Portions were large, around 8 scallops per dish. Overall I was satisfied. Wine menu is most definitely lacking, but my understanding is that they just started serving alcohol recently. Not sure whether or not I would return.

3 of us ate here on 4⁄2. All meals were excellent. 1.trout. 2. Sole. 3. Pasta w/spicy marinara & vegetables. Service was good. They now have a liquor license. Pricey, but very good.

Byob was fun, no corking/glass fee which was nice. Décor could use a bit of help. Overall had a nice dinner and a fun friendly server.

definitely a nice place to go for dinner and way better than the regular franchises. I did not particularly like the french fries that came with my panini but the panini was very good in its own right. I wonder what it costs for restaurants to have real potatoes and not frozen ones to serve people ;-) maybe it is just me. My friend took the grilled asparagus and had to pay $ 2.50 extra and honestly they came like 5 strings of asparagus for that price. Seriously? You make people pay extra for asparagus and can’t even give them a good portion of a side? But again, I rather go there than any franchise places that seem to have overpopulated Erie area.

A wonderful place to go for lunch. A bit expensive for an everyday place, but for the occasional visit, its not too bad, price wise. The soups are always fantastic, from the Bistro Chili to the other daily selections. Today I had a cream based roasted corn and pepper soup which is great. My wife had the broccoli and cheese soup, which she really enjoyed. «A nice balance between broccoli and cheese flavors.» Her way of saying not overly cheesy :-).

Stopped in for lunch with some friends based on the Trip Advisor ranking as we wanted something apart from chain lunch or fast food. The menu is broad, but not overly so. There should be something for everyone here, which can be hard to pull off in a smaller privately owned restaurant. I had a nice grilled chicken salad with an unusual but nice combination of garnishes-spiced nuts, fruits, veggies as did one of my companions. The other two at the table had tasty and interesting sandwiches. I wish there was a half star option as I would prefer to rate this place 3.5, but cannot do so. The dinner menu looked very interesting, but we were only in this part of town for a short while.
