AVOID this repair shop! I’d give them zero stars if I could. They are only interesting in trying to screw you over to make money. They over charged me by 100 bucks to get my brakes replaced. And it took them 1.5 days to repair them. Seriously?!? They had me bring in my car at 8am and hadn’t even looked at my car till 3pm (until I called asking on the status) and since they still had to order parts I couldnt pick it up till 12 the next day. I declined the following repairs they were trying to convince me i needed because I knew they were full of sh! t: told me I needed a power steering flush that I had done less than 20k miles ago. And I needed an oil change cause my car is a quart short. Are they for real? My car is at 80%. WTF?!? This place is a money making SCAM. Don’t bother with this place!

Sad to say had a terrible experience. Glad others had a good one that is one of the reasons I choose Harrell.
Had shaking in car when over 45mph and shaking on braking
they got car on Monday morning – they charged $ 89 to diagnose –no problem
they told me needed new brakes and calipers on rear (new brakes put on one year ago but not caliper – ok $ 640 to fix approx.
I was called to pick up car at end of day – they were closed car locked in lot
drove car off lot and same problem – drove car back to Harrell and called the next day
–now needed new front brakes and calipers and owner son Mike said there was a clicking in front driver axle and should be fixed – said he would give me a deal – approx. $ 450 more and took 3 more days without car– finally car drove fine – went home approx. 400 miles to visit family – took car to dealer that changed brakes for partial refund – he said the brakes looked fine but new axle boot had a leak in it and grease was spitting out from axle. He said take back to Harrell and they will fix under warranty. Drove back to Erie and set up appointment. The called and said that they ordered wrong axle and it did not fit (order axle for AWD not front wheel drive) Said they would reorder part next day and finish. They called later the next day (Friday) and said car all set – Got car after closing and within 1 mile car would not drive – stuck in middle of busy intersection. Engine revved up but would not go. Got help to push off road – under car was puddle of transmission fluid – had car towed to different shop – on Monday called Harrell they said they would drive to new shop to see problem – mechanic at new shop said they didn’t put axle in properly and that is why all the fluid drained out and would not go into gear. At that point Harrell could have done what was right and paid for repairs from new shop – they did call the new shop and told them not to work on it and that they would bring a part over for repair but never did. I called Harrell and they are always out to lunch. I’m sure they try to be a good repair place but bottom line is when they had an issue they didn’t step up.
I would have a very difficult time to recommend them for any repairs.

Incredibly honest, fair, kind, generous, helpful, efficient, and knowledgeable. We were in great hands.
We were en route from western Iowa to New Hampshire, and our engine started falling out of our car (due to the previous mechanics not properly fastening the motor mount!!!). This resulted in a broken axle and 2 broken hoses.
Paul and everybody at Harrell squeezed us into their busy schedules, hunted down the parts or repaired them and had us on the road again by the end of the day. Amazing.
We were treated so well — and that as out-​of-​towners who will likely only ever be 1-​time customers. Beyond the actual work they did, they also created a pleasant atmosphere that was relaxing to wait in. We enjoyed our chats! Truly phenomenal customer service in every way.

I was fortunate to find this family-​owned repair shop when my Ram 2500 diesel truck had engine trouble. They got me in the morning I called. Soon they had the truck on the diagnostics and were troubleshooting possible issues. After following through on a few leads, the problems were found, repaired and I was out the door.
They didn’t try to upsell any other unnecessary parts or services, but instead they gave me advice on how to keep my truck running smoothly. The hourly rate was fair and many services listed had standard prices.
I was impressed with the mechanics’ work and politeness. While I waited, I observed all the customers being treated with respect and dignity by all the employees including the office girls. A new customer waiting room was being built which will nice for those who can’t just drop off their vehicles.
I would recommend this shop for both routine and extensive auto repairs. The owners will make sure you’re treated well and the work done right.
