When traveling for work it is always great to find places that have great food and service, well Picasso’s was a great find for just that. I will be stopping by again when I am in town

This is the hands down, best sandwich shop in Erie. I have traveled the world, and I know a genuine, top-ingredients store. This is it. And reasonably-priced to boot! Being from out of town, I may ask the owner to come back home with me to Chattanooga and build another Picasso’s there!!!

We finally tried Picasso’s for the first time last month. Incredible! The sandwiches are just so good. Portions are generous– my husband and I can easily split a sandwich & be satisfied(with chips & drinks). And who can beat a $ 1 gigantic pickle? This is now on our must-visit list when we have out-of-town visitors.

This place has the best sandwiches in Erie. I got the vegetarian sandwich called Venus de milo and it tasted so good. I will definitely be going back soon. Also it is so much fun you can draw on their tables!

This is a nice gem in the Erie area. Note, they’re not actually in the Millcreek Mall, but in a small strip shopping center in the parking lot. My friend had The Scream, and thought it was just the right level of spice. I had the Starry Night, which is their take on a reuben. I wasn’t crazy about the wasabi mayo; it lacked the zing of the usual russian dressing. Still, that’s a personal preference, and I’d love to try some of their other menu items. It’s a small place, so don’t expect a lot of seats. As an added bonus, you can take your receipt and get a free piece of chocolate from the store next door.

Very small, quaint, food home made. Tables fit 2 comfortably and 4 intimately. Art on the walls, chalk board tables, deli counter. It’s a great place for a sandwich with yummy bread. We had the bacon Alfredo mac and cheese. It was good. We also had the starry night with corn beef. I think it’s very good. My husband thought the saur kraut was too prominent. There is a candy store next to it and an ice cream place in the other side.

3 stars for food 1 stars for service I didn’t order any of the specialty sandwiches listed on the chalkboard menu. The sandwich I ordered was custom-made with my own preference for toppings, meats and cheeses. It was a mediocre deli sandwich, nothing worth mentioning. I can make better subs at home with deli cuts from the supermarket. In hindsight, I should have ordered from the suggested menu, maybe my eating experience would have tasted better. Anyway, there were 2 – 3 young ladies(high school to college aged) working that afternoon. It was around 5:00PM, but not really a dinner rush crowd. I was paying for my meal in cash, and started counting out exact change to pay the cashier. She muttered under her breath, «Seriously?» I could feel her eyes rolling back. Wow. That was appalling. Again, in hindsight, I should have said something about that, but I let it go. Kids, these days. SORUDE! However, that statement alone completely turned me off. Half decent sandwich or not, no, I will not returning.

Went here during a road trip. Great service and amazing sandwiches. All 5 of my friends loved the sandwiches. Da Vinci, The Scream, Botticelli, and The Mona Lisa were given two thumbs way up. So on our way back we had to come back and even 10 min before closing, they were welcoming and friendly :) Awesome ambience as well.

A very interesting eatery we found on Unilocal while cruising by Erie on I-90. We had the Sistine Chapel(an insane triple decker of meatballs, pepperoni and cheese) and the Van Gogh(ham, Mac & cheese, bacon, cheddar and chipotle sauce). The combinations appear endless and everything is served wrapped in paper and foil because it is hard to finish the sandwiches so we suspect many folks take the remainder home. Worth a detour.

I’m so glad i took the Unilocal reviews seriously and found this place! My google maps directions kind of sucked, but once I found this place(in a stripmall across from a regular mall) I was smitten. I took other’s advice and got the Mona Lisa which was indeed fantastic — totally like nothing I’d had before but in an awesome way. The folks working there were pretty efficient but for some reason the AC was set suuuuuuper cold, so I opted to eat outside instead instead of rushing thru the food before losing feeling in my fingers. If you ever find yourself in this area, definitely check it out!!!

If you are driving through Erie stop here for an amazing sandwich! Debated half or whole — no matter what you choose you will love it. Of course if you get a whole you can take half with you. Our group had Starry Nights, Mona Lisa, Michael Angelo and Mac n Cheese. I had the Garden Delight but had it prepared as a panini — outstanding!

We’ve ordered a total of 5 sandwiches, with the option of combo or just full size order. Here’s the order strategy & recommendation: Starry night — get it only if you love saurkraut and cornbeef. It has a pungent scent, assuming from the saurkraut. Personally I’d skip this one, as it’s nothing special — you can get cornbeef anywhere. Ok. Da Vinci — the sausage overpowers the ravioli. It’s also too salty for me. It doesn’t create the harmony that Mona Lisa does. Good not great. Kinnane — interesting combo with peanut butter and apple. Apple doesn’t taste like apple. It’s worth getting, if you’re in the mood for exotic and not looking for fulfilling hunger. Very good. Van Gogh — good harmony of the ingredients all play well together. Creamy goodness. Only thing I have against it is the only protein is ham; I’m generally wary of preserved meat. Very very good. Mona Lisa — if you are here to order one sandwich, get this one. To make it worth your bucks, get this in full size. I’d bypass the combo, it only adds junks like pop soda and Mac and cheese, both you can get anywhere else. The price difference between half and full size doesn’t justify — always get the full. The ingredients altogether go well together, nothing is too strong than the others. The Alfredo is the adhesive that holds all together. Best in da house.

Found on Unilocal and am glad for it! Locally owned sandwich shop that serves scrumptious freshly made and«artful» edibles. The«Michelangelo»(see photo) was piping hot cheese and chicken(asked for the bacon on the side — for Tuesday) on chewy multigrain bread. For my side order, I had a «Mac & Chicken» which was also fantastic. Picasso’s is small yet clean with a «happy» décor. Five Stars!

OMGosh!!! I am up in Erie in business and decided to try this place. Great choice! It’s a small sandwich shop that is incredible. The décor is small black tables that are shaped like artist’s palettes. They keep buckets of chalk on the table so that you can draw. The walls are full of art and photography. My creative side was in love. They offer a couple of different kinds of Mac & Cheese, Soups, and sandwiches. The sandwiches are all named after paintings. I ordered the Mona Lisa. It is their most sold sandwich. It had turkey, spinach, artichoke hearts, tomato, havarti cheese, and pesto aioli. It was scrumptious from beginning to end. It was hot off the panini press so the bread was toasty and the cheese gooey. My husband ordered the Davinci. It spicy sausage, ravioli, provolone cheese and Alfredo. His was even better than mine. Yum!!! I would love to come back and try their whole menu. Believe the hype!!!

Delicious food and quick, friendly service! Stopped in for lunch in the middle of a long drive based on the Unilocal reviews. I really liked the atmosphere, and all the staff gave us a warm welcome. I ordered the hot ranch mac and cheese hoping that it wasn’t too good to be true, and my boyfriend ordered a sandwich. We were both really pleased! It looked like the tables were chalkboard, so you could showcase your artistic flair. Definitely would stop in again on my way through Erie!

Great little sandwich place! Erie is awash in chain restaurants, so when my mom and I pop over here from southern Chautauqua County to shop, we try to find something local. I had looked up Picasso’s once before, but we weren’t by it when eating, but I am glad I remembered when we were doing some post-Christmas shopping/browsing to get out of the house. Picasso’s is on the Millcreek Mall«campus» facing away from Interchange Rd in a small elevated plaza next to the plaza that has TJ Maxx/Ollies. Starbucks, Coldstone, and chocolate shop as also in the same plaza. Walking in, we were warmly greeted and when learning it was our first time, the girls behind the counter explained some of the sandwiches, including their most popular. My mom is a vegetarian and was glad to see she had a couple options! They had some unique creations, but also some basics to please every type of eater. For something a little different, I went for the Michelangelo which was shredded chicken with bacon, an alfredo sauce, and provolone on their rye-multi seed bread. The bacon flavor really popped. I would have liked the alfredo sauce and/or chicken to have a bit more flavor. Nothing was bad about it, but it could have done a little more since there are no veggies really accompanying it. It was steaming hot and a generous size. My mom had the Venus Di Milo which had hummus, many veggies, avocado, and much more. She was too busy enjoying it to talk much! We both got the combo with a bag of the fancy«Dirty» Kettle chips and a pop with free refills. I felt $ 20 for our lunch combined was a good price. There is seating for about 15, so I would recommend sticking to a group of 4 or less as most tables are 2-seaters, and only space for a couple to be combined. Loved the art palette tables and chalk. My mom wanted to write«Kilroy was here» on them! We will keep Picasso’s in mind when we are in Erie in the future!

Not really a sandwich eater … But this place makes a fine sandwich. All of the 5 star reviews are entirely justified! Had a Mona Lisa with turkey, avocado, cheese and mayo minus the spinach and artichoke stuff … Solid. Feels like a real sandwich shop. Highly recommended.

I don’t meat er meet(haha, get it?) a sandwich I like very often. It takes a special kinda one, or in this instance lady, to sway me and that was the Mona Lisa. It’s turkey, avocado, artichoke spinach, Navratilova cheese and pesto mayo. With all of those items, wouldn’t you say that’s a win? Make it a combo and get a jumbo pickle(or chips). Actually, those dirty brand chips sweet potato chips were really good. It’s not very big inside, so if you come during lunch, you may not be able to park it and eat. I would wager that a lot of the sandwiches here would be winners. Make your way down that list Erie friends!

I was super excited to try this place after stumbling upon it on Unilocal. As an artsy fartsy nerd myself, I was like a shrieking star-struck fan girl reading through their menu of sandwiches named after famous paintings. I really love the whole art concept! The blackboard tables were cool and all, but I really don’t want chalk dust on my food. I had the chance to try two sandwiches here, the Mona Lisa and the Scream. Mona Lisa was more on the healthy side with turkey, artichokes, and spinach. Personally, I thought it was a little bit too bland for my taste. The Scream was more the spicy side with sausage, pepperoni, pepper jack and spicy ranch – wasn’t spicy enough to make me «scream»(which was a good thing). The bread was toasted to give that warm and crispy texture. I really like their multigrain bread. I thought the sandwiches were just okay, nothing spectacular worth mentioning. The mac and cheese, on the other hand, is a must try! I love their Hot Ranch Mac and Chicken Mac – soooo creamy! Overall, I recommend Picasso’s for the awesome concept and creative atmosphere, but the actual sandwiches are just average, nothing extraordinary. Try the Scream if you like a little spice and definitely try the mac and cheese!
