I have no idea where you all have been eating, but I’ve never been this outraged in my life. This place is as classy as a strip club in rural Alabama at noon on Tuesday. The food has progressively gotten crappier over the last two years and every so often I put an order in hoping it will get better. This time we reached«I’ll never spend another dime in that establishment again.» I called in a to go order on a Friday night. The woman on the phone was rude, short and damn near hung up on me by the end of the order. She said«20 minutes.» So 20 minutes later my boyfriend showed up only to find no to go orders. No one there remembered taking my order or anything. Well, sucks to suck, Libby, I remember exactly who took my order. Libby’s impersonal response on the phone leads me to believe she has done this before and hopes that no one remembers her name. I’m not here to make her life hell I’m assuming working for that pompous meatball can make everyone hate their job. I’m assuming he pays the standard 2.82/ hr for his servers that bust their backs everyday and get nothing in return but crappy tips and creepy glances from all is greasy friends. Moving past assumptions, after my order was taken a second time and made on the fly, I can only imagine that whoever put the order in has never once read the menu. I ordered the bacon cheese fries. She ordered a side of fries, add bacon, add cheese. The food was cold, the fries were probably yesterday’s and honest to goodness the dog refused to eat that meat they call brisket. I passed a homeless guy who said he wouldn’t eat food from there because it gave him the«black runs» and he only had one roll of toilet paper. So, if you want to be ignored by wait staff who probably aren’t getting paid enough by a guy who probably wears banana hammocks«because he likes how they feel,» and you’ve decided that you want to pay way too much money for food that’s mediocre on a good day, then this is your place. But if you work for your money and want food worth eating served by people that might treat you with respect, I’d steer clear. P. S. those«black runs» were real talk.

Most restaurants bring bread to the table; well these guys bring bacon! Really really yummy bacon! They have a full bar and lots of craft beers on tap. The pulled pork potato skins were out of this world, the ribs are gigantic, and the brisket melts in your mouth! As a side we got bacon Mac and cheese which was amazing, and bacon corn bread fritters which were served with a sweet dipping sauce that was so savory and delicious! These guys really know what they’re doing, and we will definitely be coming back! Oh and in case you’re wondering they do have parking in the back which is nice so you don’t have to park on the street!

Great neighborhood bar/restaurant! Great Barbeque and sides. Robust flavors and a number of options including pork, beef brisket, chicken, sUsage and even portabello mushrooms. Big fan of the cornbread and mac and cheese served in mini cast iron skillets The service tonightbwas fast, friendly and efficient. Love this place!

I typically do not write reviews but this was a very frustrating experience. Honestly the food was decent for Erie standards and I might actually consider going and getting food there again. However, I ordered«catering» = dinner for 10 people, called two days ahead of time after reviewing on the website menu. I asked for both Brussels sprouts and baked beans and was told they were out of both. BBQ and no baked beans? Two days ahead of time? I ordered pickup for 5:30 for a dinner at 6:00. When I got there I was told they forgot to cook the brisket and that it would be a few seconds??? The manager was pretty nice about things after I asked him to be honest about how long it would take & he even bought me a beer to make up for it which was pretty tasty. Everything finally came out at 6. Anyhow, hate to be a buzz kill on a review. SUMMARY: think twice before getting catering & from what I hear from my friends be prepared to wait a long time in general.

Came here for the three B’s and had them. Walked out of here stuffed. Was greeted with warm smiles and bacon. Had the Ribs that fell off the bone. Mash taters that was bigger then expected. Plus jalapeño cornbread that I had to try and ate every bit of. We Had to go through a couple of pitcher of beer to wash the food down. My Co-Worker had half a chicken and fries plus cornbread. Definitely a place to go while here.

not happy with food or service past few times. The portabella sandwich was burnt and dry… like a hockey puck. taking a break from visiting this establishment.

I arrived at 1 on a Friday afternoon. my friend and I were the only customers in the place and i soon realized why. the server immediately told us the only meat they had was the beef brisket. when she came back with our drinks I asked about soup of the day. answer, none. I then asked what was there to order and she replied chicken. I asked isn’t chicken a meat? she argued that no meat is ribs, steak and pork. you can guess we left without eating… never ever to return! if you want a bbq place with no bbq, this is your place.

This is the best bbq place ever and I live in the Carolinas now. Their sweet potato waffle fries are amazing and the bbq sauce is the best I’ve ever had! We come in and buy it from them by the bottle! We love their mac and their smoked wings are amazing!!! Our fav secret hole in the wall place, hands down!

It is not a bbq place. The brisket had no smoke ring and no seasoning. The chicken was burnt and took twice as long as everything else. The fries were good and the beer was cold. The price was fair but the food was not what I expected.

Good food and service. Recommend the pulled pork dog. Bummed that the staff smoked next to us outside… Still will go back! Good food

The bacon is good, and the ribs are ok they are not fall off the bone, but the taste is on point. Do not get the cheese on the brisket it will be over cooked if you do. The pickle spears are amazing, and the mac n cheese is ok. I would return for drinks and bacon, I like the atmosphere!

The ribs were ok. Macaroni and chz average … Corn bread. I’ve had better. Potato skins were decent. Gave us two pieces of bacon after I asked abt it. Was good. They have cool craft beers but I don’t drink beer. Texas toast was plain… I wouldn’t go bak unless my boyfriend was with me to try the craft beers

Great«hole in the wall» atmosphere. They had an average beer selection and a diverse cocktail list. The Bloody Mary was absolutely delicious and included shrimp, a hard boiled egg, and okra! I had the beef brisket, and it was average. Experts say that beef brisket doesn’t need bbq sauce but this did. Texas toast was a nice side. I’m looking forward to having the chicken/pulled pork the next time I return. Service was just as mentioned in other reviews.

Service is ABYSMAL. Get your own beer from the bar, expect a long wait for anything, and probably ask for the bacon you’re supposed to receive with every beer! That said, the food is great, the beer selection is great, and the crowd is pretty nice, considering the location(lock your car!). If you haven’t been, you have to try, and if you have, it’s probably been too long.

Do not be put off by the location or exterior. This is not fast food, it is good food. Relax, have a drink, a starter and enjoy the meal. Pulled pork, smoked chicken and brisket all had high marks from our crew. But the bacon, oh for goodness sakes, bacon! Best ever tasted across the board. I would eatthis bacon for dessert, plain or on cheese cake or just because. Good thing I live 350 miles away, I mean, boo. Will have to come back… soon.

I’m from Texas so my expectations are pretty high. This is the best BBQ I have eaten outside of Texas and is even better than most places in Texas. Great beer selection. Free slice of bacon while you wait. I had the sampler, ½ a brisquet sandwich, ½ pulled pork sandwich(FYI –the cole slaw is spicy) and 2 ribs. All if it was delicious. I suggest the home cut fires and be sure and try the sauce(sweet). Wait staff was attentive and helpful– what I wanted wasn’t on the menu so be sure and ask.

Very bad. I got the brisket. It was like scraped out a pot roast TV dinner and served it to me. It makes me questions all these good reviews. There was not bark or smoke ring. It was awful
