Our first time here for take out pizza. The service was fine. The staff was friendly. The pizza however was barely edible. The crust was thick & bland. The sauce had a very strong flavor but not in a good way. For a combination it had very little toppings or cheese not that that would have helped the flavor. For 25.99 for a large it was a actually a small large compared to other pizza places like Round Table. We tried it once but will not be going back.

I was driving home to the Bay Area today(Monday, 2÷15÷2016) and got quite a craving for a slice of pizza. I stumbled across this Mountain Mike’s in Escalon. I walked in to see if they sold pizza by the slice. I saw 5 sliced pizza’s under a warming light. As I walked in, the girl behind the counter said«I am sorry, but the all-can-eat lunch buffet ended 15 minutes ago». I told her I did not want the buffet, I just wanted to buy a piece or two of pizza. She told me «we do not sell pizza by the slice». I asked her how much was the«all-you-can-eat» buffet? She said $ 6.95. I asked her if I could pay $ 6.95 for 1 slice of pizza. She said no. I then asked her, if the buffet is over, what will you do with the 5 pizzas under the warming light? She said she will throw them in the trash. Weird.

I normally do not like the Mountain Mikes pizzerias at all! Other branches have such oily pizza and have a greasy taste to them. The Escalon Mountain Mikes is soooo good!!! I gave 4 stars because it does take closer to an hour with delivery orders typically, Pizza Plus is like 15−20minutes typically. BUT I seem to be ordering more MM’s vs. PP. Great pizza! Funny staff! And it’s right next to the best SB! Pizza and a treat

Best pizza and service in town! Delivery is fast and hot. Live on the outskirts of town and there service kicks butt. Don’t call debonis its just a dirty place.

The day we moved to Escalon called in an order of 4 pizzas, they were fast and very nice. We have since ordered several times and they have been good, when we ask for extras or changes they are happy to oblige.

Now that mountain mikes is in escalon it is definitely one of our new go-to places. We always order out and love that they have daily specials. We recently tried the cheeseburger pizza because it was a special and we will definitely be getting it again! It tasted like an in n out cheeseburger on pizza dough!

Makes great pizza. Best in escalon in my opinion. Too many people give it crap for some mistakes they make but you have to get them some credit. They had just opened and had hired many escalon residents, mostly just graduated or graduating high schoolers looking for a job. Because they were so busy at opening, there was not much time to give proper training and so many were just thrown in and put to work. Now that they have settled they’re service and pizza is amazing! They even employ many high schoolers! I don’t see many other businesses doing that. I suggest you give them a try, where else are you going to get those delicious knots anyway?

This location is horrible! They need to do more training for their workers that take phone orders. Rude, and unfriendly. Our last order was called in at 530. We have ordered from them several times. Each time it’s like I am a new customer and they need all my information again. By 640 order still not here. When I called in, I was told it had already left, oh wait no its still here will be leaving in 5 minutes. But lucky me! She said she would throw in some extra coupons for the next time I order pizza from them. Escalon isn’t that big of a town. We have 4 pizza places here. There is something wrong with your business if you cannot handle servicing a small community. Here’s a tip call debonis: 2098381700. Keep your coupons Craig.

They screwed up our order(bacon pizza instead of pepperoni) on half the pizza. The other half(combo) was fine. The breadsticks were blah. The pizza was consistent with other Mountain Mikes we have been to. There are family-owned places(non-franchise) in Escalon that have better pizza & breadsticks.

I love the new Mountain Mike’s in Escalon! Finally, we have some great, consistent pizza in our little town! The pizza is fresh, the sauce is great, and the service is genuinely friendly, even if the staff does seem like they’re still getting their bearings, and maybe trying a little too hard. Since they’ve opened, we’ve gone about 4 times, once as dine in and the rest we’re take out. We’ve tried a few different specialties and a «create our own»…hint…standard Hawaiian plus pepperoni is awesome! Anyway, even though it’s a little pricey(except on Tuesdays when all larges are 30% off), you get what you pay for. Another hint. If you read other reviews, I can only say this is great pizza for people.

Used to love Mountain Mikes in Mountain View– I lived there for 17 years. Last May I visited Mountain View and ordered a vegetarian with sausage from their restaurant in SunnyVale. It was good! My dogs enjoyed sharing it with me. When this place opened in little Escalon I was surprised because there are already 2 good pizza restaurants here. Curious to test this new one I tried my first pizza at the new Mountain Mikes– ½ veg for me and ½ meat(Pikes Peak) for the dogs. I walked in and there is a glass case with the pickup pizzas — Oh that’s nice I thought! As I stood there the young lady said I had to go over to the other register(then why is there a register right there?). The paying experience wasn’t as smooth and friendly as Pizza Plus where the staff is always upbeat, personable, etc. This place was awkward, like they haven’t worked it out yet.(Hint: let the take out customer hand you money where the pizza is waiting –then bring back the change from whatever other register you want to use…) It was not a great pizza. At first I was hungry… but soon found the pizza to be much less than what I’m used to. The crust was really thick, doughy, heavy carbs. I prefer a lighter, thinner, crisper crust. The ½ meat side for my dogs was disappointing because the pepperoni(they boast about how it curls up) was tiny like pennies and so thin & curled up & dried out; not very tasty… and the chunks of sausage were overcooked into hard nuggets. The salami was paper thin but my collie liked the taste(what there was of it) as well as the ham so I fed those to her with my fingers. Neither dog wanted to grab a slice to wolf down like they do with a Dibonis or Pizza Plus. Hmmm. Maybe my dogs are on a low card diet? The veggie side was nothing to write home about. Thick tomato slices were standard unripe supermarket type– almost raw. Fresh tomatoes on pizza can be delicious if they are home grown, or those«on the vine» hothouse ones that are ubiquitous now days. But a thick, raw, unripe tomato doesn’t belong on an Italian pizza! The place just opened I think, so maybe things will get better. They have other food and drink and desert items I didn’t experience. Maybe those are good, I can’t say. As for Pizza– I’d say they should get a thinner crust, thicker meat, and ripe thin *tasty* tomatoes. In fact the dogs just ate the cheese & meat — leaving behind so much crust you could make a loaf of bread from it.

First time at this location. Food was great. New location so was pretty clean. Gelato was very good.
