Auto Art in Escondido is great! I recently had some body work done on my car. They worked with my insurance company to agree on an estimate the same day I dropped it off and they began work immediately. Each day I would get a text message update on the status of my car and the work was completed a day earlier than promised. Their work is top notch. My car honestly looks brand new and they went the extra step and detailed the interior as well. Their office staff was friendly and helpful and everyone there was courteous and polite. I couldn’t recommend them any higher!

After getting 4 quotes on repair work for my 2012 Hyundai Elantra (for which I was paying, not insurance), I decided to choose Auto Art Collision Specialists. I chose them not because they were my least expensive quote, but because they impressed me as a professional, technically thorough, and honest business. Although some of the damage to my car was external, much of the damage to be repaired was to the suspension which I couldn’t see. I felt reassured that if I went with Auto Art, I would get my car repaired right. Now that I have my car back looking terrific and driving perfectly, I can testify that my decision was right on! Mike, Nicole, and their staff were thorough in preparing my quote and worked closely with me throughout the repair process to find the best replacement parts for the best price. Not only did Mike keep me well informed (phone, email, and/​or text) about the progress of the repairs and expected completion time, but he always pleasantly and patiently answered my questions. My car was ready for pick up a day earlier than expected and the repairs came in at a lower cost than quoted. Auto Art’s staff passed on savings to me that they were able to get on parts. I appreciate their integrity and customer focus. I highly recommend this business for their excellent customer service and workmanship.

Family owned, honest, friendly auto body repair. After getting sticker shock at the first place I went I decided to stop at another shop. That was 4 years ago and I have been coming to Auto Art ever since that day. You have to stop by yourself for an estimate and you will see what I mean.

Amazing work! I went in to get my bumper fixed and was in and out within 10 minutes. I can’t even tell there was any damage. I highly recommend this shop for any and all vehicle repairs! The customer service was phenomenal.

I have been here twice now unfortunately. Not because of any issues on their part but because of my stroke of luck. The one thing I must say that stands out the most is the outstanding service and repair job that they do. Not only were both my vehicles done under the estimated time, but both my vehicles were given back to me in better condition than before. They detailed our vehicle inside and out as well, I was not expecting it haha. Nicole, Melanie and Mike along with their team, were an absolute pleasure to work with and made both processes easy and stress free. Despite all my unfortunate events their cheerful, genuine demeanor, really made it all seem not so bad. When we had gotten our vehicles back the paperwork was done promptly and ready to sign upon my arrival. I’m very happy I decided to chose them regardless of my insurance referral. I do recommend this body shop if you have Allstate or even if you want the work done right!

Unbelievably great! Beyond awesome — this company is super-​professional, courteous, super-​communicative, and their craftsmanship was beyond brilliant. Its been a month since my wife’s auto accident. Thank God she was not seriously injured and she is still recovering.
I can’t say so much for our car though. It took a beating but keeps on ticking. It did it’s job and now it’s all better now thanks to Auto Art in Escondido.
I picked this collision repair shop based on all the positive online reviews; and boy am I glad I did. They kept me updated throughout the whole process with texts and phone calls.
In the end, they made a stressful situation, a stress free situation. It was always a pleasure to speak with every person at Auto Art.

I was sent to Auto Art by a family friend. I am extremely impressed by their professionalism and quality of work. I spoke with Mike, who gave me a great price and completed the work to my truck very quickly. The body work and paint on the truck is spectacular. They painted the bed of the truck and one rear door and it looked like a factory paint job. I will be sending anyone who needs body work to this shop…

Great people and professional work. I took my Ford Focus to this place to get a quote on fixing the small scratches/​chips on my car. Mike gave me a quote with reasonable price in no time and also gave his guidance about touch up on the hood. I decided to do touch up this time and he did it for free!
They are great customer service and it shows.

After dealing with some unfortunate circumstances with my car (and personal life) I was so pleased when Farmers Insurance recommended me to Auto Art. When I arrived at their facilities to have them inspect the damages on my car, Mike greeted me immediately. He was very kind and respectful of my time and looked at my car within minutes of arriving. He quoted me right then and there and assured me that he would have my car looking like new within a few days. I was heading out of town on vacation, so he offered to work on my car then so that I wouldn’t have to worry. He even offered to store it there for as long as I needed until I could come pick it up.
Upon returning from vacation, I arrived to pick up my car and could not be more pleased! I had some issues with the clear coat failing on the left quarter panel of my car, door handles and right side view mirror. ALL of the problem areas were taken care of and looked like NEW! I was absolutely thrilled with the outcome and am so pleased with the service I received. The value of my 2008 Ford Fusion is restored!

These guys are your relief. I did’t even want to get my truck fixed, but because my bank owned it I had to. Nicole, the front desk/​damage observer/​customer service specialist, was incredible and what I appreciate most is that she understood my position on the repairs, they were superficial. This is important to me because it shows they are not trying to squeeze your wallet, but truly trying to help you out. Nicole was my liason from start to finish and was quick to give updates and made me feel really confident about the whole process.
Mike sits at the second desk, but he doesn’t just run the business he is equally as awesome. He is also genuine, attentive and sure to see that his customers are taken care of. Even when he was speaking to his team, he gave an auora of confidence and care, which explains why the results are so great, because the employees are happy.
My Dakota came out perfect, the bumper better than when I bought it. Not only was the work great, it was quick, three days total, simply impressive. I was already pleased with everything, but to top it off they buffed out a scratch on my tailgate that had nothing to do with the damage in question… they didn’t have to, they did, they truly care.
My second vehicle was just hit while I was at dinner the other night, the door is caved in, guess where I’ll be going…

This place was recommended by my insurance company. I took my van here to have a large smash in the side fixed, and I was immediately impressed by the fast, friendly service that I received. They were professional and they did an amazing job! They communicated with me throughout the entire process both over the phone and with text message updates. They took care of everything, and turned a highly stressful situation into an easy painless process that I didn’t even have to think about. I was quoted 2 weeks, but they had it back to me almost a week early! Their paint guy did an awesome job matching the paint, and it looks like a brand new vehicle. I don’t write many reviews, but Auto Art is so fantastic, I just have to. They are a real professional repair shop, not like Maaco or that variety of collision center that does quick work of poor quality. Auto Art’s work is done the right way (panels removed/​corrosion protection) and they guarantee their work for life.
Mike really impressed me with his customer service to top it off. The estimate was detailed and the work was done on-​time to very, very high standards. They kept me in the loop with phone calls all along the way (Wow!).
In addition, my insurance company, USAA, audited Mike’s estimate by coming to my house to check the estimate against actual damage. They said that Auto Art was spot-​on and that they could tell the professionalism from the detailed estimate. I couldn’t give a higher recommendation. My VW GTI was restored perfectly and looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor. Incredible work!!! I will never take my cars anywhere else… EVER. Thanks Auto Art!!!

I’ve used Auto Art twice for insurance claims to repair body damage. I have been very happy with the results but my recent experience gave me an added perspective to their business. In addition to offering high quality work they also have high integrity.
This job was a challenge from the start. It was damage to a small RV that’s 18 years old but in really nice condition. Finding parts and restoring the finish was going to be complicated but Mike said he could do the job. It did take a lot of time to find parts but restoring the pinstripe trim became the biggest issue.
Mike works with Richard at AAT who is able to perform magic but a perfect match to the old faded trim wasn’t possible. The insurance company was only willing to pay for the damaged area and if I wanted the whole vehicle done right, I would have to pay extra out of pocket.
There were multiple conversations going on between Mike, Richard and the insurance company and it did get confusing. It resulted in some miscommunication about how much would be done and what I would have to pay. Mike stepped up and did the right thing. He worked with the insurance company on my behalf and absorbed part of the cost for the extra work himself.
The end result exceeded my expectation and if I could, I would add more stars than the five Unilocal offers. If you’re looking for not only an auto body artist, but someone who has the integrity to do what’s right go see Mike at Auto Art. I give him and his team my highest recommendation.
