My first time in an Aveda store. I was treated like a king… from the hot tea served to me… to the salt and sugar exfoliation for my hands, followed by some silky utter butter like lotion massage for them to top it off… I don’t recommend trying to operate heavy machinery immediately after this treatment as it left me very relaxed with smooth slippery hands. Anna and her staff were awesome.

This store is awesome! I live quite a bit away and will drive out just for the customer service. Anna and her staff are fantastic! I’ve read the past reviews and I have to strongly disagree! I love aveda products and this is my store of choice! Thank you for makin this a wonderful experience! Xoxo

I love this Aveda location! I live about 10 minutes away, but I would drive farther if I had to so I could shop there. Anna and the rest of the staff are super friendly, and are always interested in making sure you get the best experience out of the Aveda products you are using!

I just LOVE Aveda! I’ve been using their products and spas for years now and their isn’t one bad experience I’ve had with either product or service… Also, they have events, giveaways and special offers always going on at local stores and their online website. My go to product I can not live without is their Botanical Kinetics Purifying Gel Cleanser, which keeps my skin balanced and I don’t get major break outs anymore… Don’t forget to check sign up for their Pure Privilege card… I’m 9000pts strong and counting! Yay!

I love this Aveda. I used to go to the Mission Valley one but since my in laws moved I typically go to this one. The staff are always sweet and offer massages; they are so relaxing! They’re also very helpful and offer information on any product in the store. It’s actually becoming my favorite Aveda due to ease of parking, store quality, and friendliness of staff.

My mom received a card in the mail to claim a free hand lotion sample as a thanks for being part of their loyalty program. We decided to stop by the Aveda store in North County Fair to pick it up. Since we had a personable and pleasant experience at the Fashion Valley location in July, complete with a complimentary hand massage, we were looking forward to visiting Aveda in North County Fair.
When we came into the shop, there was one clerk working and he was helping a customer choose a scented oil to purchase. He continued to help her and failed acknowledge our presence in the shop until after a minute or so. Instead of welcoming us and asking if we needed help with anything, he simply said that he’d be with us in a moment. That was fine with us and we browsed the shop for a while, thinking he’d wrap up with the customer and be with us shortly.
He kept holding up bottles for the customer to smell and chatted with her about her son, all while moving at a leisurely pace. My mom decided she was done browsing the shop and pulled out the card to show him that we just wanted to have the sample. The clerk noticed the card but said that he’d grab it in a bit once he was done with the customer he was helping. The other customer politely told him that he should just help us and they could finish her transaction afterwards. Finally, Mom told him that we were in a hurry and just had enough time to pick up the sample and the clerk turned around, grabbed a sample of the hand crème, and gave it to her. Then we thanked him and left as he was helping the other customer again.
I was unimpressed with his brush-​off attitude and his treatment of me and my mom in the shop. While he was not very polite, he certainly made us feel as if we were unwelcome in the store. I will not come back to this location again.

I definitely need to revise my previous review based on my experiences this past four weeks. About a month ago I received a call from Heather at the Aveda store. She informed me that I had won a «healthy happy hour» for myself and two girlfriends. She gave me three appointment choices, Tuesday 1:00 — 3:30pm or 3:30 — 5:00pm or Thursday 3:30 — 5:00. After talking with my girlfriends, we realized that the three of us were unable to coordinate a time that we could all get together due to our working hours. I called Heather back and she did not have hours that next week, but said she would call back when the schedule for the following week was available. When Heather called back later in the week we scheduled the «happy hour» for 10-​20-​2011 from 3:30−5pm (the earliest my girlfriends and I could get off of work early on the same day). I received a call from Heather on 10-​17-​2011 informing me that they needed to reschedule and had put us on the schedule for the following week 10-​27-​2011 at 3:30−5pm. She said «call me back if this doesn’t work for you.» I called today to confirm the appointment and came to find out from Kristopher that we were not on the schedule. Are you serious? I asked to speak to the manager and Kristopher stated «I am the manager and so is Heather.» After what felt like pulling teeth he told me that Anna is the store manager. I asked for her to call and when she did I could see that the unprofessionalness of her store stemmed from her management. She could give no viable reason for the rescheduling of my appointment this past week other than an «unfortunate event.» She had no reason whatsoever for why my appointment had not made it onto the schedule for this week. Why would I want them doing anything for me when they appear so incompetent when doing even the most basic of tasks (ie scheduling appointments). Anna offered to reschedule AGAIN to a more convenient time, but I was too irritated at this point and not interested in having them touch my face or hair. Needless to say, I had to apologize to my girlfriends for wasting their time as I told Anna to forget it. I will never shop at this Aveda location again, despite it’s convenience and proximity to work!!!
