They are closed, go to Cenote’s 3 doors down, awesome Mexican food.

My pizza was phenomenal, the anti-pasta salad was delicious, and the lady working there could be a model. Not much to complain about except the highish prices.

I didn’t experience any of the rudeness that others have but the food was just ehh. No reason to go back. Ordered the Spaghetti with meat sauce. The pasta was not drained all the way so the sauce was watery. The sauce itself was really no better than a jar of prego.

3.5 Stars My sister had a few slices leftover from lunch yesterday, so she brought them to my place last night for dinner. The pizza was tasty. It was a thin crust with cheese, mushrooms and sausage. The mushrooms were fresh and the sausage had a nice flavor. The crust had a good consistency. Thick enough to hold the toppings, and nothing was overly greasy. I will try this place again.

Finally got a chance to check this place out and was hopeful I’d finally found decent food that delivered near me. Got the basic sub from them that was just ok, but the service was just awful. The employees here are so busy talking about their personal lives and giving their customers minimal attention it’s no wonder they got my order wrong. Won’t be back

The battle between good and evil rages on in NorthWest Escondido and it’s time for me to pick a side… My review. Over the years Borrelli’s has been taking their lumps from angry customers. Everyone, including myself have noticed that Borrelli’s hours«move» more often than the Island on LOST. Some Reviewers complain about menu options not being available, while others commented on «nastiness» by the owners. Of course ownership fired back with a laundry list of excuses, a family tragedy, and a fighting spirit with claims of making improvements. I recently noticed that Borrelli’s had updated their website and signage. So I took this opportunity to try it out myself. I was in luck, it was actually opened. I ordered the large Take Away special. It’s a pretty loaded pizza(Pepperoni, sausage, onions, mushrooms, and peppers) for 19 bucks. When I arrived to pick up my pizza I noticed right off the bat that the bottom of the box was moist. I was hoping this was just a result of a cheap pizza box, so I continued home. It was a quick 5 minute drive, opened the front door, grabbed plates, napkins, some beverages and opened up the box. It really looked appetizing so I took a picture. I grabbed a slice and it immediately went limp, followed by the toppings sliding off back into the box. I was left with a limp crust, no toppings. Complete soggy mess. I was furious. Didn’t need a CSI team to figure out the problem. The pizza maker put wet spaghetti sauce on the crust. I would expect that from someone making their first pizza at home but from a seasoned pizza chef? With the pizza dough ruined I tried to eat the toppings with a fork. Alas, it didn’t take more than one bite to figure out that there was something far worse than soggy crust. The pizza was poisoned with salt. This wasn’t the salt you would expect from pepperoni, sausage, and cheese. Again, digging though toppings the culprit was easily identifiable. The wet sauce was very salty. This sauce(I’m guessing the base to all of their dishes) was spoiled with salt. How a sauce this bad makes it onto a pizza tells me that the chef doesn’t taste his own food. Two fatal mistakes on the same pizza shows me that there is no pride at Borrelli’s. I’ve read the excuses from the owners, but nothing has apparently changed. I just don’t get it. Sometimes when nothing works for so long, you have to consider hanging up the apron. — It’s better to burn out than fade away.

The pizza was decent but the issue was I was unlucky enough to have to listen to the owner basically put every person down he could while speaking to a «friend» who was picking up food. I have no interest in patronizing a place that has an owner like this.

Update update: The review that I speak of is gone… no clue why. I’m excited about all the coverage that my reivew has garnered. Please try this place for yourself and contribute to Unilocal.I’d love to have a good experience at a local restaurant with such a great legacy behind it.

Pretty good Italian food, generous portions, and reasonable prices. We both had the spaghetti and meatballs… hearty and yummy comfort food.
