Best burgers around. Pricey and the décor is old and shot. but dang the burgers are cooked to perfection! Choice of fat or skinny fries. Onion rings well done!

so my friend asked for a milkshake and the lady at the counter said it was too hard to make so she wasn’t going to make it for her. um that’s your job lady?! the food is good tho.

I have always wanted to try this place and decided to try it today. Wish I didn’t, the place was empty and it took forever to get our food, which consisted of two hamburgers, two fries and two large drinks costing a total of over 26 dollars. There was nothing that sets this place apart from any other hamburger. Carl’s Jr. has way better burgers than this place. Way overpriced and cheap tasting food. Will never come back.

I had never been before and heard how great it is. My friend and I ordered regular fatburgers, mine with an egg. The burgers were not very good. Lacking flavor and we both immediately regretted our choice. Dissapointed with the cleanliness, food and the fact that it seemed like you could just say you ate the xxxl burger to get the certificate and not really having to meet the challenge. We saw a young girl and her friend do this as we sat there.

This has become my favorite burger spot. The staff is always friendly, food gets made right every time and quickly, and it all tastes great. Reasonably priced too. Love the skinny fries and that the burgers come with pretty much everything you can think of.

I absolutely love Fatburger fries & hamburgers; they never disappoint. However the Escondido location has a serious lack of customer service. Never a smile, or a welcome & rarely a thank you despite eating there weekly. People can be shy but if your in the business of customer service, a smile & a greeting goes a long way. With tonight’s visit we found many tables dirty & the catsup container empty. We were one of two parties there. It’s not often that the place is busy & it’s sad because no one makes a killer burger like Fatburger. Educating your staff & hiring those with excellent customer service skills would keep your customers faithful to your business. Starbucks is a positive role model with their ‘third place’ business strategy. What’s yours?

25 minutes and still waiting for my one burger and shake I ordered. Not to busy. Watched the girl come out and deliver food, pick up trash off the table… scoot chairs in and go right back to making burgers without changing gloves and while chewing gum. My shake came about 10 mins after my burger and turned out to be the best item I ordered.

The burger was gooey, the fries were really greasy and no salt. I don’t see myself returning. They are pretty pricey for a cheeseburger. I’d rather go to the habit for a great burger and great prices to.

Just a good burger, nothing fancy but tastes good. The fries are ok(needs more seasoning).

Nasty. No air conditioning, trash on the floor, tables not wiped down despite lack of customers. My Fat Wedge salad was shredded and included dressing that expired on 4/15/15…two months ago! Greasy burgers too. Had a bite of my husbands burger, but ended up throwing it up 10 minutes later. Can’t believe it… just nasty.

I have been coming here for some time now. The Burgers are pretty good. Prices are a little high but worth it. Cleanliness & the overall experience depends on who is working at the time you visit — sometimes it leaves a little room for improvement. I keep coming back though — i kind of like the place!

Date of visit: 6÷11÷2015 Cam and I stopped by here to eat before the IYE: Season Preview Party at the California Center for the Arts. We had seen a Fatburger in PB, but since Bare Back or In N Out always won the burger war, we didn’t have a chance to go to that one before it closed. We didn’t really feel like a formal sit down restaurant like the Japanese place next door, we opted to split a burger. When we walked in, there was a rush of hot air that attacked us in a very unpleasant way. There was also country music playing loudly, which I wasn’t too big a fan of. Cam went to the restroom, so I ordered our burger. I didn’t really know how the menu worked, but the cashier was patient enough to explain that I could add anything that was on the list next to the register. I also opted to get a small upgrade for fries and a drink. She handed my the drink and our number and I walked over to grab a seat near the open door as it was sweltering inside and there was no outside seating. Large Fatburger with cheese, guacamole, mustard, lettuce, and ketchup. This was a half pound burger that was customized to whatever I wanted included. It definitely had everything I asked for, but the taste was underwhelming. The burger was not as flavorful or juicy as Bare Back and the toppings were mediocre at best. The cheese was definitely not melted and the buns were not toasted very well. Cam was a little disappointed that I got guacamole(he said it’s a weird combination), but they don’t have avocado slices listed on the menu. I also didn’t bring my Lactaid pills, so I got sick after eating my half of the burger. At least this means the cheese is made from real dairy. The fries were nothing special. They looked unappetizing and pale, and didn’t really add anything but some crunch to the burger. The one upside is that the ketchup cups are actually wider than they are tall, which is optimal for dipping fries. Overall, Fatburger is just okay. I probably will never come back here again, but it was interesting to see why they weren’t successful in PB.

Decided to try this place out despite my better judgement. Got my son a kids meal($ 6.99) plus a shake($ 4.99). Right off the bat, I knew that was a bad sign. I order a chili for myself($ 2.99) more on this later. We find a seat and my son goes to ask if they can switch the channel to another TV. The lady says ‘no’ because they all will change if they change one. Dumbest thing I’ve ever heard! Each TV had a receiver so why wouldn’t it allow to change? Liars… Next, the table we were at was filthy. I looked around and noticed one employee hanging with friends while going back and forth to ‘work’. There were a total of four employees and none of them made their way to clean the table. The god awful buzzer: there’s this really loud buzzer in the kitchen area that I supposed signals the end of cooking time(imagine a microwave timer but obnoxiously LOUD). I don’t see how they can work in there if it’s already too loud in the dining area. The TV’s: they are placed practically IN the ceiling so there was some strain just to watch the damn things. Add that to the already crappy experience. The chili: Temperature was too hot. By the time it was ok enough to eat, a whole hour had passed. Plus it tasted a lot like canned chili. Low quality. Do not order! Plus at $ 2.99, it was a price gauge. The customer service: awful, not helpful, and non-existent. Never again Fatburger, never again.

Not bad at all! The burgers are very fresh and very juicy. The fries are good as well — I prefer the fat fries personally. Everything is made to order, so it’s not always the fastest meal, but it’s worth the wait. The restaurant was fairly clean. Service wasn’t too bad — nothing too special though. My only real complaint is the price. It’s a bit expensive for what you get. Despite that, it’s probably the best option if you’re looking to grab a quick bite before a movie.

Unilocal is proof that I’m an awesome critic. After I ate my meal here, I told my homie that, «I’m giving this place 3 stars on Unilocal.» I checked the Unilocal page for this restaurant and it got 3 stars. hehe Anyways, I’ve passed by this Fatburger for so many years, since I was in high school, and I finally got to try it. Now, here are the reasons I’m giving this restaurant 3 stars. 1. Very pricey. The hamburger was incredibly delicious but the price was a bit too high. 2. The fries were very bland and it was so hot that it could burn your tongue. One of the joys of eating at a burger joint is the fries and it actually felt like torture eating the fries here. 3. They have televisions here but they have no sound. Also, it didn’t have close captions so you can’t read what they’re saying. Basically, the TV here was pointless. So yeah, I was excited to finally try Fatburger for the first time since one of my favorite rappers, 2pac, mentioned it in one of his songs(«Late Night.») but in the end, it didn’t meet my expectations

I have been to a few Fatburgers before in the LA area and even Vegas, but living in San Diego county, I almost forgot about this beloved burger joint. I went to this location in San Marcos right when I heard it existed, and boy, was it great. The burger itself it the closest to perfection a fast food place can get, in my opinion. The meat itself is tasty, crispy, and cooked just the right amount. I love the distinct flavor that Fatburgers have, mostly attributed to the flavorful seasoning in their meat. Comparing the meat to other joints, like Five-Guys or In-n-out, Fatburger blows them out of the water. This meat is legit. Topped with cheddar cheese, lettuce, and that delicious relish, this burger is just awesome. The fries are also great. For a comparison, they are similar to McDonald fries, thin and salty and overall, just great. I can’t get enough of them. The look of the place is also nice, giving a nice oldies vibe, with nice music that never gets obtrusive. Overall, Fatburger is probably the best burger chain that has made its way into San Diego county. Other places should really take note from Fatburger, they have been overall successful for a reason. They are a new name to San Diego County, but I wish they were as widespread as In-n-out or Five Guys.

I had such a great burger at the location I went to in LA the weekend before I had to come to this location close to home. What a damn let down. This place is just not good. My fries were stale and cold. The chilli I added to my cold, stale fries was luke warm and couldn’t melt the cheese it covered. My burger was over cooked and hard and so not good it pissed me off. $ 12 and an hour of my life wasted. This is a prime spot for a burger place but even on a Friday night there was a total of 6 people in the place and I brought 2 of them.

First Impressions: Diner style with bright red everywhere. It smells good and it is clean. The service: its good, not great. You’ll get what you ordered. I’ve never been struck by friendliness. The food: this is why you come here. The burgers range from big to huge. They carmelize the burgers so thy are cooked in their own greasy goodness. They taste great. The french fries are okay, i never finish mine. I personally ask them to hold the relish. I am not a fan of it anywhere. Strangely there is relish and pickles. You can add just about anything… egg, bacon, guac… take a minutes and see what strikes your fancy. Overall: its a great place to stop for lunch or a quick bite. If I wanted to have a great burger or take someone somewhere this isnt where I’d be. Its tastier than fast food and a decent sit down. Much faster than a sit down restaurant. I’ll go back but its a place to go, not the next hot spot.

So who likes burgers I mean real burgers. I’m not talking about Burger King or McDonald’s and I’m definitely not talking about In&Out witch I think is overrated. I am honestly saying right now Fatburger is one of the best burger joints I have ever been too. It may take a little longer to get your food because they cook it fresh right on the grill but you can’t complain once you take that bite. Everyone also knows when it comes to burgers condiment are also very important so Fatburger offers everything from bacon to chili and many more. They also have good tasting french fries both fat fries and skinny so get a cup of chili and man I’m telling you that you will not be disappointed.

A good Chicken Burger and Wedge Fries. The meal was made to order, hot and good. I should go to Fat Burger more often, it’s a nice change if pace. A good selection of fount ion drinks as well. I usually have water, so it was a nice mix of tonic water, flavored tea and lemon aide.
