I will never go to this store ever. I am writing this to share my experience from beginning to end since I feel horrible after this who’s experience at this store. I had called before Christmas 2015 put on hold forever when I finally able to speak to an employee she was rushing me off the phone because the other lines we’re ringing and it seemed as though I was bothering her. I asked if I needed to pre– order a Mini Ham for after Christmas. She said no it’s not that busy at that time and it’s fine to just come in to pick up. To my surprise when I went in to get a mini ham, the male employee handed me a $ 75.00 Ham, and said they didn’t have any mini hams left. I was really upset, and asked to speak to the Manager. He looked over at some women who had her head down, and said«Just give it to her», and He went into the refrigerator and gave me a Mini Ham. So do I feel as if I was lied too? And how rude is is it for the women not to walk over and talk to me. Later I did find out that the Manager wasn’t in that day. I emailed & called into Customer Service. I did have the Manager call me, and proceeded to be rude to me for calling in to Corporate and was obviously not thinking about me the Customer who was upset in regards to how I was treated in her store. She said she was supposedly sending me a gift certificate. I never got one even though I gave her my address. I decided to let corporate know again what had happened. I did speak to a very nice lady, she took the time to listen, and apologized and said she would send a gift certificate. Well a few days after that I had the Manager from the Escondido store bugging me on my cell phone. I finally did receive a gift card. It was for $ 15.00 dollars. First of all I’m not going to spend any money to use $ 15.00 at any of the HONEYBAKEDHAMSTORES. Not worth my time. I was told that I can get cash for it again not worth my time. So just understand not a great experience. And definitely buyer beware.

I called the Escondido Store to order a Honey Baked Ham to go with the Thanksgiving Turkey and the line was very busy. I felt like I won the lottery when Robert answered and asked if he could help me. Robert was very cordial, efficient and with ease I was given a reservation number to pick up my ham on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Wow, that was easy. Thank you

I have bought hams from Honey Baked several years ago and they were very good. I bought this ham for Easter. 7 lb for $ 58 and it is lousy. Tasteless and dry. I will take it back tomorrow, Sat. April 4th. Also the woman who waited on me had a «I could care less» attitude.” Maybe she baked the ham.

Pretty tasty product, and relatively convenient, but I feel a little let down almost every time we get a ham. I do feel that our family holidays would be a bit lacking without a Honeybaked Ham, so I’ll probably be coming back, but here’s my beefs:(pun slightly intended) The physical layout of the building is a little weird. Drive past the side entrance & park in the back. The interior of the store has mustards & jams on tables everywhere, but there is no listed menu on the wall of the products they have. You have to pick up a tiny little menu to read through. The interior of the store looks like it was decorated in the 1980s; it probably was. They had 2 people standing at the door to pass out samples. There’s only 1 set of doors, you really don’t need more than 1 person. Having an extra cashier would have been nice, because there was a decent line by the time I left. The hams aren’t cheap. I won’t complain too much about the price, because they have a relatively good product, but :/ Every single time we get a «spiral cut ham»(which they all are), there is a spot inside that is not cut to the bone. This means we either spend too long plucking off slices, we pull out huge chunks, or we have to cut it again ourselves. Since they claimed to have invented this slicing method, I would like to think they could do a good job of it.

I get sandwiches here. It tastes really good. The people are nice. Downside — no seating really. So get it to go.

Case in point, we do not eat Ham. But my company decided to give all the employees a $ 50 Giftcard here for Christmas. So my gf and I decided since we were going to volunteer for feeding the homeless we figured why not give them something special. Our main reasons for the average rating is this. The driveway to get here is extremely difficult. We drove right passed it the first and had to circle back. It didn’t seem to be in the best location that we wanted to be cruising around in. The office seemed to be trying to do its best to keep the lines moving as quickly as possible. But it was slightly over crowded.

I know this company’s ham very well. I have always considered it to be the best out there. The customer service however — very lacking. I understand with the time of the year they must be beyond busy — However when I called to place an order, the girl spoke so far I don’t even know how she managed to understand herself. I placed the order and she was so quick to get off the phone and hung up and I placed it. I call in the day to pick up my order to make sure I had the correct date to pick up — and again, spoke so fast that I had no idea what to say. She wouldn’t take any of my information to ensure that indeed, my order was ready to be picked up today. I ordered with them to make my holiday experience less stressful — Now I’m more stressed that they don’t even have the order ready! TAKEYOURTIME! I AM A PAYINGCUSTOMER! DOYOUWANTMYBUSINESSORNOT

Went in to grab a sandwich, waited around for a few minutes and never saw anyone, no one else was in the store, maybe the employee was sleeping in the back…

Was so excited to order one of these famous delicious hams for Thanksgiving… Was really disappointed with the taste and texture of the ham. It was dry and did not have that famous honeybaked flavor. Was thinking of ordering one for Christmas but would probably do better with Costco ham for the taste and definitely the price. Everyone at our feast asked what happened to the Glaze??? When we called to asked what happened with the ham the employee who answered the phone said they don’t put that much glaze anymore and that she was sorry…

So, it’s been some time since I’ve gone to HoneyBaked Ham for a deli sandwich. I haven’t been missing much. I had a traditional ham sandwich with cheddar. It was below average and it was too pricey at $ 5.50 apiece. This should sell for no more than $ 2.50. What’s more, this sandwich reminded me of something you’d find in your grocery deli. Just really subpar. As for the sides, we passed. Unfortunately, this store uses«stunt» sides. You know what I’m talking about. They have display sides that you can see but they actually give you stuff that comes from the refrigerator. The problem, of course, is that the stunt doubles look horrific. It most certainly didn’t induce us to order the real stuff that they were hiding elsewhere. If you’re going to visit HoneyBaked Ham, stick to the ham. Stay away from the deli. You’ve been warned!
