BEWARE of their ATM!
I am not a customer at this bank, and after my experience yesterday I never will be. I have a Discover Debit card and used my phone APP to find a free partner bank where I can use my card fee-​free. Unfortunately, I was directed to this bank. I entered my card and entered the PIN number one time. I received a receipt from the ATM saying ‘PIN Tries Exceeded. Your card has been retained’. (I had previously gone to another bank across the street and did enter my pin numbers a few time, but was instructed by that bank that they no longer accept Discover.)
I promptly went inside and spoke with the manager explaining what happened. He told me that there was nothing he could do because they have a policy to keep any non-​OneBank West cards that were ‘retained’ by the ATM and destroy them. I offered to show my ID or contact my bank to rectify the situation. He refused.
I am leaving for a trip to South America today and will be going without my ATM Card thanks to this bank. I hope you at least recycled the shredded pieces of my poor card.
