Let me be clear: I LOVELOVELOVE their food. Their burgers and fries and deserts are amazing! However, their customer service leaves MUCH to be desired. A good example would be that they don’t take the time to properly hand out our meals, and say«Thank you, have a nice day.» Instead, they practically throw it at us and hightail it back inside. I get you want to speed things along, but that’s no excuse for poor customer service. And here’s the real kicker: Y’know those special offer codes they give you on the back of the receipt for a free sandwich and large drink? Well I tried using that code for their Baconzilla(My #1 favorite.), and they said I can’t use it for that. WHERE on the receipt does it say I can’t get a Baconzilla with the code? NOWHERE! I see NO reason why I can get ANYOTHER sandwich but that. If YOU want good food, I recommend this place, just don’t expect much courtesy from the employees. I can’t believe these morons want $ 15.00 an HOUR.

Normally I love this place! Their shakes are seriously amazing! I gave only one stars because for the first time I went at night, around 10:30ish. The line moved pretty slow which I kinda expected with the time being so late and all, but once I got to the window I could see that there was a lot more people in there and the food could have been prepared a little quicker. Which brings me to my next point, while the fries are always amazing, I also ordered a burger. The meat was cold and not warned all the way. Not sure it was made to order or if they just had an extra one lying around and passed it off to me. Either way, I was pretty disappointed. I love to eat my food hot, maybe even warm, but this burger was literally cold.

Been going to Rally’s Burgers for years. My favorite is the frirs. Sometimes that’s all I order are the fries. I don’t eat much of the other items. You have to go there to get their delicious well seasoned fries!!!

I always go here and today is by far the worst experience ever! First of all I got to the speaker and they told me to wait 2 minutes passed and a girl came on and asked for my order so I ordered and I didn’t hear anything and a few minutes later a guy comes and asked to take my order and I told them that I had already ordered and he didn’t care he asked me again what I wanted so I ordered again and he said ok and told me the Total amount and I wasn’t even done ordering and I drove to the window and he asked for the money and I gave it to him and he snatched it and closed the window and I asked him for my fries and he was so rude. Definitely not going to be coming here for a while

I’m in love with this place !! Having sampled ALOT of burgers in my day. the 2 Big Buford’s for $ 5 beats any deal in town. They’re fast, friendly and their chili dogs are something to write home about. Hidden gem worth the search.

Rally’s is a small hidden gem, with not too many around SD. you have to go deep into Escondido to find this oldie, but goodie fast food chain. This location is near Ash and East Valley Pkwy and is your typical Rally’s/Checker’s. with it’s small spot posted up with drive-thru and outdoor seating with a walk-up window. There is a wide array of options for your salty tooth and sweet tooth as well. ;D My order usually consists of: All American Cheeseburger, BLT, and Fries. The burgers beef are well seasoned, the BLT is hit or mess with their generosity of bacon although lately I’ve gotten more pieces in it, and the seasoned fries here are the best! Overall, the service is fine and Rally’s is good option for burgers and shakes!

Wish it was in a better licatiom, but it’s still the best spicy chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. Classic seasoned fires are good when they aren’t over cooked. Staff is quick and efficient. Never had a bad order.

Pro: Fries are hot and delicious. Cons: Everything else is SO terribly salty. Apparently they have some timing sensor so they get the food out quick enough. There was no one behind me but dude required me to either back up and trigger the sensor or pull out of the drive thru and park. His co-worker was a total *itch…“your confusing her! Ma’am you need to pull out of the drive thru and we will being your food out”.not confused you dumb@**. irritated? Yes!!! I’d rather wait 20 minutes for my «fast food» than be treated the way these people did… only worried about their«speedy service» report instead of their quality of food and service!

So who’s up for a late night munch? I know we were. Rally’s was the place to hit and guess what the food was great! Their burgers are well cooked and their fries let’s not forget about their fries with that brown crisp seasoning. Amazing. Let’s just get one thing clear because besides the great craftsmanship of their meals their customer service is far from being near good. Upon drive thru they couldn’t hear us and when we finally pulled up to the window I asked politely if my meal had a certain topping, and before I could finish my sentence I was cut off and told speak up because I can’t here you. Completely disrespectful. I hope this employee gets a sit down but other then that nonsense the meals were amazing and we would love to go again, but possibly in the day this time.

Do you know what’s amazing about Rally’s? What’s amazing is that, as messed up as the company is run, it somehow still makes money. Well, at least some locations do; certainly not the majority of the locations that closed here in San Diego, CA. It seems like the vast majority of the time I ‘try’ Rally’s again, something goes wrong. Most often, something that I paid for is missing from my order or, other times, my order is complete but the fries are overcooked or my hamburger appears to have been wrapped in a layer of grease. Sometimes I watch as a dozen cars receive their orders in the drive-thru while the rest of the ‘walk-ups’ and I, who ordered BEFORE the drive-thu patrons, wait. Is this because the drive-thru is tracked by a timer whereas the walk-up window is not? –I’m sure. Today’s experience was a new frustration for me though; I can’t complain about the food or the speed of the service. I can’t complain about them because the store was closed despite the Rally’s web site clearly stating that the store opened at 8am(I was there at 8:15am). Afer a few moments waitting at the drive-thru speaker, I was greeed by an employee who apologized saying that they don’t open until 9am. –Thanks for the wasted trip! I drove across the street to the extremely busy, double-drive-thru McDonalds. Does that tell you something? With all these negative experiences, why do I continue to ‘try’ Rally’s from time to time? Well, I suppose it has a lot to do with nostalgia. About twenty-two years ago, I was 16 and working at Rally’s was my first job. Overall, I have good memories of my experiences working there. Also, on those rare instances when my food order is correct and not wrapped in grease or too cold, etc. etc., and my wait time is not inappropriately longer due to my having ordered at the walk-up window vs. the drive-thru, it’s a wonderful thing. Sure, over the years Rally’s has skimped on the ingredients in order to compete with other ‘quick-serve’ restaurants on price rather than quality(i.e. no more buttered buns, switched to shredded lettuce vs. freshly peeled lettuce heads, switched from onion ringsto diced onions, changed to cheaper tomatos and cheaper pickles, ‘one-napkin-per-item’ policy, etc.) but it’s still pretty good. One thing hasn’t changed, the ‘one-of-a-kind’ fries are still the best. So, will I be back? Sure, I’m sure I’ll occassionally stop every now and then. Afterall, the 10% when«Rally’s Has it Right» is pretty awesome.

Ill keep you my dirty little secret. One of the rare fast food ventures that I will indulge in. Its delicious fries is a bit nostalgia and the rest oil and yumminess. For those first timers its walk or drive up although there is a table. There is a value menu, but whatever you get, its about those fries.

I go to Rallys a few times a year. I think this is why I always enjoy it and it hasn’t goten old to me. The locations are always in a slightly sketchy spot but I dont mind. The food is good. Not amazing but good. The fries are seasoned well like cajun style with a good crisp taste. The burgers are really just your average burger(no better than Mcdonalds). You get a large size drink when you order a meal without having to supersize which is awesome. They have a very tasty sweet tea here. The prices are decent too. I think Rallys is worth trying out at least once but dont get your hopes up. Its fast food with a good taste.

It’s been years but just as delicious as I remember and worth the drive! Ordered a cheeseburger and fries and for $ 6 is was reasonably priced and even though I went during a peak time of lunch, service was fast and accurate.

Let’s see-one, It’s Rally’s. The food is consistent with any other Rally’s you have ever had. We came for the fries and they did not disappoint. It is, however, in a rougher neighborhood where it seems like everyone wants you to hear their taste in music. Also, if you need a restroom, run over to McDonald’s first =)

I’m honestly appalled that this place has such great reviews! This place is disgusting with horrible service. We stopped in around ten the other night — the girl working the drive-thru couldn’t hear us, but instead of just asking us to repeat our order, she was really rude and condescending.(I am not a quiet person, it was definitely their speakers that weren’t working, so she had no reason to have such a bad attitude.) When we got our food, they gave me the wrong drink, so my husband went back to exchange it for the right one — when he came back to the car after a few minutes, he said there were three other people who came back with messed up orders. The burger was GROSS — seriously, the nastiest fast food I’ve ever eaten. It was like 20 times worse than hospital food. The fries were pretty good, but they tasted like a crispier version of grocery store potato wedges. My husband got a strawberry shake that was hot pink and just pure sugar — I wasn’t expecting anything that great, but it didn’t even taste like a normal fast food strawberry shake. I’m not a fast food snob, if I could eat McDonald’s once a week without gaining 100 pounds I would… but this place is just gross. NEVERAGAIN!

One of the few Rally’s locations remaining. It’s not what you would call healthy food, but it does taste good with the fries(kind of like the seasoned curly fries from Jack in the Box), but they’re straight and not curly. You can get some good deals. I got their apple pies and it’s kind of like McDonald’s but it’s bigger and better tasting. If I had to choose between McDonalds, Burger King or Rally’s I would choose Rally’s. I like Chris A’s take on Rally’s being located in seediest parts of San Diego County. Too funny, but true!

It had been many, MANY years since I last visited this restaurant so I was pretty excited to try it out since I was in the area. I remember them being famous for their seasoned fries and Big Buford sandwich. This time around, I decided to go with the double bacon sandwich, which is basically a smaller version of the Big Buford. The burger wasn’t bad at all and had some good taste to it. I prefer it than both Jack ‘N the Box and Carls Jr. burgers. My main gripe really was the fries. Do people really think they’re any good? It tasted like an overcooked, stale fry with a bunch of seasoning on it. Not very good and I’ve got no clue what people see in their fries. Burgers are decent though so go here for that. They’ve got a menu that consist of 2 items for $ 3 and 2 items for $ 4. Not too bad for people looking for a cheap meal.
