Sambutan Longhouse

It gets hot at San Diego’s famous Safari Park, the best place to cool down is in the Sambutan Longhouse. Located on the tiger trail this building is constructed in an architectural style «Rumah adat». This enchanting wooden building has mist stations and fans cooling us off as well as a view of the tiger enclosure.
We took a break after a three hour Safari adventure and enjoyed a giant local craft beer from ballast point on tap. The beer must have been 28 ounces and it was bargain priced at $ 11.00! My husband and I decided to share a beer since they were so big but ended up goping back for one more. I really appreciated this cool area that was adorned with antique details.
Some of the treasures were offered for sale, they came from really interesting private collections. They also sell tiger themed gifts like tee shirts, hats, stuffed animals and cards for the middle class. Even the restrooms here are neat! I loved the etched wood cabinets, view of a waterfall and antique light fixtures in the ladies side. Maybe on my next visit I will drink more beer and find out what the Men’s room looks like.
