The people at the front desk are nice but the rooms are terrible. The bed had white crust stains on the comforter (God knows what that was). The pillows were old and dirty and there was hair all over them. The walls and carpet are dirty and there were spiders in the room. They redid the bathroom which was nice, but there were no toiletries at all and half a roll of thin toilet paper. We stayed here out of desperation as our trip was last minute, so we were charged a crap ton for a crap room. We were not impressed

This place is horrible, I came into the room there was no towels, I tried to call the front desk the phone didn’t work. Then I waited for 20 min for the towles to come after having to go to the desk twice. The bed was broken, I would not recommend this place to anyone.

«Rose» greeted me as If I were of her Family! The linen and towels were not thread barren being clean and fresh. I would highly recommend the Sunset Inn to all visiting the Escondido CA vicinity. Discovered I was within — ‘walking distance’ of Historic Down Town «viewing excellent pubs, restaurants; and, I enjoyed perhaps the finest display and collection of Antique Automobiles» throughout Center of Escondido, on Friday [a weekly event of which you may schedule] — worth the experience, indeed.

The only reason my husband and I stayed here was because every other hotel we tried was full up. It was $ 150 for one night which was outrageous given the condition of our room. Our sheets were not clean. In fact, the pillows still had other people’s hair on them. There was discolored spots on the sheets that may have been bodily fluids. Not sure. There was hair in the shower and sink and on to of the toilet. The shower walls were disgusting. I don’t ask for much but clean sheets and clean bathroom are mandatory in my book. I do not recommend this place to anyone.
