The Crosby Center

One star is only because I cannot give this place –10 stars. I am embarrassed to admit that I encouraged my 21 yr old daughter to attend substance abuse treatment at this facility. I am appalled with the Director of this program «Dr. Larry Burns». When admitting my daughter, the staff in this establishment led me to believe that «Larry Burns» was a doctor and referred to him as «Dr. Burns», his assistant and other staff members also told me that he «was a lawyer and would represent my daughter in court» in response to a Judge’s order for her to attend 6 mos of outpatient substance abuse counseling. I recently found out that «Dr. Larry Burns» is actually Lawrence Bruzynski. A man who is NOT a DOCTOR or an ATTORNEY. (I contacted the CA Board of Medicine as well as the CA State Bar Association and found out Lawrence Bruzynski is a CONVICTED FEDERAL FELON. FBI # 18 9372M7) I will NEVER, EVER… recommend this place to ANYONE. Do your research please! Do a simple google search on «Lawrence Bruzynski». I have transferred my daughter to a facility with appropriate care (minus the fraudulent claims). The Crosby Center attempted to hold my daughter in their inpatient program with lies and intimidation. They did not follow through with us as parents and frightened our daughter into staying in inpatient in their facility. Once her father and I finally reached our limit with the lies and fraud, they responded by releasing her AMA.

My friend was struggling with an opiate addiction for years. I tried to help her numerous times and she almost took me down with her. Her family tried to help her but they were older and worn out from the years of the lies, stealing and relapses. I contacted the Crosby Center for her and they helped her to recognize she needed the help and to work with her insurance so there was very little out of pocket expense. Crosby saved her life.
