The Edge, A Hair & Nail Salon

My mom gets her done by Donna and it always looks fabulous. So I decided to try her out. I can never get my hair done exactly how I want the color isn’t right and doesn’t stay. I made a appointment with Donna and will never go anywhere ever again!!! She is beyond awesome. The cut and color is perfect!!! I feel beautiful when I leave!!! I get soooo many compliments!!! I like my hair drastic when I get color done and she does that perfectly! Thanks Donna!!!

I went to this salon on the recommendation of a friend. I arrived a few minutes early and I sat for at least seven minutes without even a smile or a hello from any of the staff. When I got up to leave, the stylist THEN looked at me and asked if I was so-​and so, so she knew who I was and had been ignoring me on purpose? They’d better get out the manual on greeting customers, because there are lots of places to get haircuts in this town, and their’s won’t be one I’ll ever try agai

Niki is great for Hair cutting or coloring and Lynette is amazing for Nails.

I walked in to get a service menu. I stood at the front desk for about 1 uncomfortable minute. They all looked up from their work and looked right back down again. No one asked what I wanted. No one said, «Be with you in a minute.» I walked out and they all silently watched. It was weird.

My wife has been getting her hair cut here for well over 10 years and I started going here, mostly out of convenience, when we started dating. I have stayed because Sue rocks! I have been going to Sue Petersen there at the edge now for almost 10 years I think and she is like family.
I of course cannot comment on a woman’s haircut… But for a guy’s that may be a little less «labor intensive»…They are great! Easy and Reliable!

Sorry Leesa, I’ve found Nikki at The Edge, and she is a fabulous hairdresser!
I initially decided to try The Edge because it’s so close to our new home that I could easily walk there for my appointment. I did a search here on Unilocal and found Kate D.‘s raving review, and that settled it. I called for an appointment.
The extremely friendly woman who assisted me on the phone was surprised to learn that people were talking online about her shop. I read Kate’s review to her and she was just tickled. I knew instantly this salon had the kind of personality I’d just love.
Nikki greeted me when I walked in, and I was instantly at ease with her. We talked like old friends. I’ve long believed that a good hair dresser needed three skills — the artistic, the technical and the social skills to keep somebody comfortable sitting still in a chair. Nikki has all the above in enormous measure! She’s just great.
I showed her a picture I’d printed of what I was after with my hair. She delivered the style I asked for perfectly, and she didn’t twist my arm to buy pomade, sprays or mousse. Now Leesa, if you’re reading this — I’m not saying you do that either… but some hair dressers do, and I appreciated the fact that Nikki didn’t.
I was a little surprised that the salon does not accept credit cards. It was no problem, though, because I was right next door to the 7-​Eleven where an ATM patiently awaited me. My cut was extremely reasonable in price ($ 44) and I didn’t have to drive a long way on 78 in ungodly traffic to have 25 minutes of relaxation and a great cut. So Leesa — I’m sorry Sweetie. I love the skill and the talent you have, but I’m sticking with Nikki at The Edge.
The Edge. Yeah. Highly recommended!

Laura T. is the best hair stylist I’ve ever been to. Made the mistake of getting a cut and waxing elsewhere one time because she was booked up. I’ll never do that again!
