The Gopher Hole

I would give this place a 5 but the experience we had the other night turned me off a little. We love this place we walk here from our house order take out most of the time and grab a beer they have so many great choices on draft. The other night we came in to order to go sat at a table instead of the bar because we had my daughter. The waitress saw us sit down, another couple walked in AFTER us and sat down behind us. The waitress walked past our table to greet them and ask them what they would like to drink before us. She then walked back behind the bar like we were invisible, a few minutes later another waitress finally came and took our order. We are young maybe the waitress didn’t think we were going to order enough for a big tip? It frustrates me because I work in customer service you can never judge someone by the way that they look. It’s just sad because we really liked this place and loved giving business to a local place, but if we are going to be treated better somewhere else we will make the drive.

Plenty of TV’s (6 – 8)…bathrooms are cleaned and maintained!!!
The food from what, I hear is good. Your typical bar food… Decent prices.
If you are a traveler and you see this off the 15, you have to stop here and have a chill moment.

Went for sort of late dinner with the family and our server Kelly was awesome! Really personable and friendly, the food was good and came out quickly but kelly made the experience great! Thanks we will be back for sure

This one star is strictly for the food and the food only. I stayed at the Tuscany Hills Resort, which is literally right next door. My friends and I were there for a wedding and since there wasn’t really anything else near by, naturally most of the people that were staying at the resort for the wedding went to the gopher hole as well. We went in on Saturday (8÷8÷15) for lunch, around noonish. There was a larger party of about 10 (from the wedding), a party for 2 or 3, another party of 6 and then 2 people at the bar. My two friends and I sit down (everything is self seating) and we were greeted a little late but nothing too crazy. There was only one bartender who was also serving all the table and seeing as both my friends and I are all servers, we weren’t bothered by it because we have all been there. Long story short she was flustered the whole time and making jokes to other guest about how much she hates all the people that were here for the wedding. I’m assuming because she couldn’t handle having that many guests to serve. I’m 25 and have only been serving for about 2 years in a high volume restaurant and there was no reason for her to as flustered as she was. No one was being rude to her or mad that she was taking a little long. Her attitude was just rude. I wouldn’t expect it from someone of her age (mid 30s). The management should also have at least two bartenders/​servers working at a time or at least a busser/​barback to help out when needed. This post is long enough so I’m going to write another review about the next day that I came in. And unfortunately it was worse.

Well I was going to write another one but it won’t let me so I’ll make it as short as possible. The mother of the groom invited everyone to the Gopher Hole the morning after the wedding for breakfast. I personally didn’t care to go because the service the day before wasn’t very awesome and I like to sleep in. Shortly after my two friends leave they tell me that they ordered but we’re going to come back to the room to pack up their stuff before check out. It was 10:30 and check out was at 11 but we all thought it was at 12 so they decided since there were going to be a lot of orders to put in and get out they would come back and pack and then go back and eat. I ended up going back with them because we had to check out and by that time I was awake and hungry. We get there and one of them had their food ready but the other’s was not. Mind you, it’s been about 30 mins. But again, not a big deal, we are servers and we get it. We go straight to the bar to let them know that I was going to put in an order for myself since I hadn’t yet and before we could even say three words one of the waitresses comes up and says «what’s the problem? Your food is already here.» First off they both didn’t have their food and secondly, she had no reason to say that and be rude about it. I put in an order of French toast and bacon. We sat down and my food came out before my girlfriend’s. She ordered the same thing as me except had scrambled eggs as well. The waiter sets my food down and says «I know this looks bad but yours is coming, they are just cooking the eggs.» It takes no time at all to scramble some eggs. It just doesn’t make sense. My girlfriends food finally comes about a minute or two later and we ask for 4 waters and the waitress says «there’s only 3 of you, why do you need 4 waters?» Again very rude and with an attitude. So my friend tells her that she’s pregnant (7 months) and drinks a lot of water and pretty fast so she just wants to make it easier on her and not have to come refill her water when she was so busy. She ended up only bringing us three and drops them off and says «just…» And lets out a big sigh and throws her hands up in the air and walks away and never came back to our table. My friends breakfast burrito was supposed to come with toast and hashbrowns but it didn’t and we were honestly too annoyed to even ask. There were two ladies working this day and both had to be over 50. One lady was ok but clearly flustered and the other lady was just a complete jerk. I had never had service like that in my life. She was rude to everyone in the restaurant and was showing just how flustered she was. The management needs to either hire better staff or hire more staff because it seems like they can’t handle more than 1 table at a time. I can imagine it doesn’t get very busy there but the attitudes they had were just atrocious. But again, the food was awesome. The bacon was crispy and the French toast was fluffy.

Food was great waitress was terrible my wife asked how the tuna melt was the waitress told us «it’s disgusting!» She was very rough and rude left a bad atmosphere messed up my beer off the tap management should fire her. Her name was ruthie AVOID HER!!!

You wouldn’t except much when you walk in, however great food and friendly service. I had the vodka penne pasta and it was so good. My husband had the burger with onion rings and he loved it. Hidden gem
