The Rustic Sparrow

I LOVE this shop! I always find some treasure there — jewelry, clothing, Vintage décor and trinkets of all kinds. I visit every time I come to Escondido.

I see another Carmen V. Also rated The Rustic Sparrow. I am another Carmen V. And must say The Rustic Sparrow IS a Wonderful hidden gem. Prices are very reasonable. Customer Service was wonderful. Both ladies were very attentive and answered all our questions. The place is nicely and creatively laid out. Love it! It is like taking a trip back in time. Highly recommend it. I give it 10 thumbs up.

Absolutely love this shop! I can’t believe I didn’t know it was there either. So many fun and cute stuff!!! I’m telling all my friends to go there.

This is a wonderful gift shop with a variety of jewelry and home décor items! I have bought many cards here! My favorite is their variety of jewelry! All unique and handmade! My only suggestion would be to pair some of their crafty gift items, for example have candle holders and candles offered. Soap dishes near the handmade soaps etc. Other than that the owners are wonderful and I always enjoy browsing and shopping in here! Plus you are supporting local businesses!

What a fun spot! You can spend hours in here buying or just browsing. There are several sellers, so on offer are vintage items, gifts, clothing, jewelry, home décor, art pieces and chalk paint for the diy’ers. It’s really a sweet shop with a great selection and good prices!

Darling store with lots of fun finds and great prices. Great painted frames and if you’re into jewelry, they have a lot! Patricia is amazing and so friendly. She belongs in customer service for sure! Top notch! Worth checking out!

I cannot believe the Rustic Sparrow has been there for 2 years and I just noticed it yesterday! Probably I thought was one more ‘smells weird in here’ type of antique shop and they did not have that nice blackboard outside to caught the attention of visually excited people like me. So as soon as I open the door, I noticed one little boutique after another alongside a long corridor. Everything pretty, all perfectly put, paired and combined. And smelling like I imagine angels smell.
The concept is not new: to gather a bunch of local artists (or from around the county) and take them from etsy to meet with their public. Shopping on online is not the same, believe, although is also highly addictive. I could only utter one word when one of the ladies working there approached me to tell me more about the ‘ladies night in December’: wow.
The I said: ‘you eyes are beautiful; then I added: ‘where have you guys been’? Then is when she told me about the 2 years of existence, but also that they are trying to revamp the store and add new vendors/​artists to the collections. You can find from Mexicana themed objects, to angels, to Parisian je-​né-​sais-​quoi items, to very sui generis jewelry, like «Just my type», which uses actual vintage typewriter keys to make necklaces. Pretty awesome.
Prices are very normal/​moderate. Definitively affordable. I would say this store is mostly focused in girl stuff, I don’t see many male oriented gifts there, but I need to give more tries and check often.

So rude!!! Such a shame. The shop is totally cute with a ton of stuff to look at. However thr woman working there made it so unpleasant to be there. I really was looking forward to going in since I walked by and discovered it when they were closed. It seems like the shop keeper really didnt want me to spend my money here. I cant believe the rudeness!

What a cool store! Jack and Heather really know how to put a unique shopping experience together. I used to shop in their store all the time in the Bernardo Winery, bummed that they moved further north, but the space is so cool! It’s totally worth the drive! Treat yourself to the Rustic Sparrow, it’s one of a kind!

I love this little place! I can’t believe no one’s reviewed it. There are about 10 different «booths» with treasures from different owners. Each booth has cute home décor, both new and antique. There is also a smattering of accessories, books, etc. Prices are generally really good! I got a large pretty rug for $ 6. A nice addition to Grand.
