I’ve only been here for the deli sandwiches and let me say, they are amazing. Especially the tri-tip! The staff is also very friendly and knowledgable.

Great local place, ran by locals. They have tons of different cuts of meat to choose from. Even though I haven’t eaten any of the custom meats. I go there for lunch quite often . They make awesome sandwiches, anything from chicken salad, to Tri Tips. They even have PB&J. Don’t forget to check out some of the other stuff they have for sale. ie: Bacon, Sausage Sticks, Chicken. Oh YA and when they are BBqing the smell is pretty much amazing.

Before you even enter the store, you have an idea these people really know their meat… there, adjacent to the shop was an awe-inspiring custom smoker/griller trailer. Made from a propane tank(the big kind) stood up on its end, the smoker could easily handle a side of beef. Not too many things deserve the affectionate label ‘bad boy’; the Manas bbq trailer does. Manas can STAKE a claim to having the best STEAK in these parts, and these parts goes all the way to my home in San Francisco. We’d driven by the Manas shop on Highway 16 on our way to Full Belly Farm’s Hoes Down festival and were curious. We came back the following weekend and picked up a porter, a ribeye and some house-made pastrami. Prices are great. I just seasoned and grilled the steaks(well, cheated a little with some of my garlic-butter spread on the turnings). You know how your eyes involuntarily close when you taste heaven? Umm-hmm. All I can say is wow. The mouthfeel of the Manas steaks is as good as it gets, along with the tenderness and a delicate fullness of flavor. I’m telling myself, it’s less than two hours to drive there… The pastrami, you can probably guess it’s shut-the-door awhtumness. Yes it is. I’m not telling you where I live, I don’t need a house break-in. If you find yourself looking for something different in the wine and produce country, cruise to Yolo(and take a cooler full of blue ice)!
